Yeah but, I remember around 2012 people said ''oh she'll never get big, everyone will forget about her!'' or ''I give her a year'', and now...she became even more famous. who knows what she does in the future, she's a smart girl. I bet she already has plans up in her mind.

I have to disagree with you _piggy_.I think the peak of her popularity was when she first got discovered and got a million views a week and was on T.V. all over the place and was on every odd news website imaginable. She could've gone SO much farther than catalogue model and novelty item if she had actually looked like her edits or had waited to show her real face on T.V. until her agency had several big jobs booked for her. Like the only really good job I've seen her have was Vogue Japan. I've also heard that her current T.V. jobs are actually hurting her career a little bit since she looks nothing like her photos, makes an ass of herself on T.V. sometimes, and apparently the hosts of those shows slyly make fun of her when she's on their show by asking if she's had plastic surgery since there's no polite way to say "dis bitch be sh00pin". I also highly doubt she'll get a clothing and makeup line since she can't even dress herself properly or do her own makeup.When she's too old to be the "kawaii desu human Barbie desu" anymore, my bet is she's going to marry some old Japanese man since apparently nasty old men are her type.

For variety show tarento, somewhat known, but there are so many other foreign tarento and geinoujin on television that she doesn't stand out very much. Most people who watch those evening programs may recognize her face by now, but may not remember her name or know about her pre-Japan fame. Do you know Prisca Molotsi? She's on television frequently, been in Japan since 1986, local Nagoya singer and has a big personality, but there are still many people who have never even heard of her. Dakota isn't near Prisca's overall popularity, but has niche following. My sister and I encountered an 60-something security guard who was a Dakota fan. We were making small talk, the subject turned to foreign entertainers in Japan, and he brightly asked "Do you know Dako-chan?"

By god, she's extremely boring. Why do people waste time having her on tv? She's better off modeling, but even in that career, I suppose you're required to have a personality.

She's obviously faking to be scared in order to look cute... She has shown in the past that she likes scary things... But think it the "dakota way", if she shows she's scared she'll look cuter, like a little girl who must be protected, also, that's the perfect opportunity for her to try her lungs and make a high pitch "kawaii" voice, and we all know japanese people really like this "kawaii" voices on girls.

Edit: At the end she says that she loves gore stuff, she's ok with zombies but she's really scared of dolls (wich i think is the topic of that movie o.o) well, maybe she was indeed a bit scared but i think she faked a little bit.

i agree with you. compare from her discover time to her recent time she was more popular. but what i mean is that she has reached the limit of fame in japan. since she concentrate her career there. two years ago she was actually a nobody in japan but during a year her popularity jumped. she is on several tv shows, events and on covers of magazines. i guess that her fame isn't going to climb higher. bc i really doubt that she is going to be an actress or singer . at least i can't imagine dakota singing or acting.

and as you said, since ppl start to make fun of her, i guess that her appereance will become more and more less. and also her fame will fade away slowly.

i really hope that she is going to start to do something useful with her life, like studying for example. so that she can have a stabile and secure life after her fame. so that she doesn't end up like her sister kiki. ~~ 25 years old and has actually nothing done except of making drama and desperate looking for japanese men to get a free visa there.

but sadly i also think that she is going to end up marrying a japanese dude
