i think it's true japan is very strict on any JAPANESE,who break the norm. But Foreigners tend to be forgiven moreorless because they are foreign and not expected to know abt the unspoken rules of japanese society. Also menhera being the term for mental illness - plain wrong, it might be colloqually but still i don't buy it). It started out as a blogger term for people who are into mental health they were called mental healthers and that shortened to menhera. It's true it has negative connotations. But the real term for mental illness is 精神症(せいしんしょう)(mental illness)or 心の病気(illnes of the heart(mind)).
Also student visas don't have an essay section??? What?? Unless this person is an immigrations officer i would take their words abt that w. A grain of salt.
(morena in japan got in and she had a serious diagnosis w. Meds and everything)
    edit.
I got quite interested in this thread, and I went to read it. while i do not agree with the metal health aspect and visa/immigration stuff. I think he makes some really excellent points about some of the realities of sticking out in Japan. I am super lucky (privilleged) to be a cis and genderconforming woman, so I don't experience any of the things he does. for anyone interested i really recommend giving it a read.
(I think most of these experiences apply mostly to japanese people and not foreigners though, as foreigners really do get much of a freepass ESP if they don't speak japanese or don't speak it well)

Nだった/うVだ/くVった/たis quite correctly an indicator of past tense. but in this tattoo she is using だ as the informal version of です, in this case she CAN ommit it, mamy people ommit だ, when speaking, because it can sounds a little stilted. In regards to the characters it looks terrible and wishy washy obviously not done by a native hand. But i think SOME of the blame can be put on the font she used. Fks fonts used in news papers sometimes changes radicals, and it's really common when the radical is 糸 that with that font it can look like the 水 radical for some reason lol
the は in that style is definetivly the font.
(I grew up speaking japanese, but i'm not raised in Japan so for good meassure i asked my bf who spent his wholelife in jp abt the font stuff lol)

I grew up in Denmark and what you've said, that really depends on the person, and their background. In my area spraytan is considered ''lowclass'' for lack of better word and very few people do it. Most Scandinavians tan for two reasons, one being we have little natural sun in winter, and due to many cloudy days also few enjoyable summerdays, so people tan for vitamin D, the second reason is aesthetic because Scandinavian skin does not pick up much colour, and otherwise looks quite sickly and frankly really bad in contrast to most summer clothes. and by tanning i do mean outside in the sun, not sprayed on. But there are some girls who put a little tanner on their legs in start of summer

I grew up with japanese in the home, (although i'm.raised outside Japan). and lemme just say, her Japanese in the kizuna ai vid, was also pretty basic. Her language wasn't very descriptive and lacked proper grammar use. Japanese natives tend to ommit grammar but obviously these times follows certain rules as well. Venus language just screams poor skill.

We don't REALLY know her exact visa situation. I don't think it would be a good idea to report her with no evidence aside from speculations, (in english) on an online forum...

immigration in Japan is a game of luck. If you are lucky an authorised agent is the one recieving your papers, if you're less lucky it's a clerk who files them to be reviewed by an agent later. It's impossible to day what is true or not true. Just because YOU had a very easy experience, doesn't mean it's the one truth.
I've applied for a Japanese visa in and out of Japan 3 times first time it took the Japanese embassy in my country of residence (Denmark) 2 weeks(student visa for minor) to process, next time 1 month (working holiday). In Japan I too was lucky at immigration and got my visa (uni student) approved on the spot. There is no catchall truth on visas in Japan.
some couples wait for months or years, others don't😊
Also, however unfair some countries passports ''flag'' at immigration, and are subject to really a extensive process. A friend of mine whose mother is burmese, and father Japanese told me her mother struggled to get approved, and despite living 20+years in Japan continuously gets denied for perm res. I hear so many varying stories, I just don't think it's possible to say it works in exactly one way.

that is only if he CLAIMS the child, a child born to a foreign woman on Japanese soil doesn't as far as I am aware become a citizen unless the Japanese father claims it. The child in japanese law is percieved closest to the mother, regardless of her nationality
