Hello. It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a PULL FAQ! In this FAQ you may find answers to most commonly asked questions here on the site. Please make sure to read the FAQ before asking a question in the Site Feedback (formerly the "Make Your Voice Heard") subforum as chances are your question has already been answered. If it has not been answered, then feel free to ask your question within the thread or make a new one with your question. The FAQ can be found in 2 locations: The News & Announcements section and the Site Feedback section. We hope this helps current and new users. Thank you.
I don't think anyone is trying to say that Chey's abusive past is valid now. The recent news just put things in a different perspective, as we all thought Ziegs was completely innocent. In the same way people argue about Cry having family baggage and being a manchild to explain his actions, the same way we could argue about Chey as a grooming victim to explain her actions. There's no denying that both Cry and Chey were abusive, and their relationship was a toxic cycle. Like I've said earlier in the thread, I might be biased as I used to be part of an abusive relationship. I may have been a victim, but there's no way I'm going to claim that I'm innocent. I was abusive but that was because that's how my partner taught me what "love" was since I was a minor. You have no idea the amount of manipulation and gaslighting that occurs in an abusive relationship. It really pushed me to be a person I never thought I would be. At the end of the day, Cry was the adult. They had an on and off relationship since she was 16. He manipulated and lied to his friends, as you can see by the past few days. Even one of them said that he specifically targeted vulnerable people. Everyone, in some way or another, was hurt by him. To me, that doesn't seem like a naive guy that just didn't know. But I agree that Chey hasn't grown. I don't think throwing a tantrum on twitter and attacking Cry's friends is growth or healing. While I understand her frustration and anger, there are other healthy ways to let all of that out. This ain't it. It's not helping her case at all.
Wow. I didn't expect that. All I keep thinking about is how ironic it is that people kept telling Chey to shut up because of what she did to Ziegs. Now it seems like Ziegs is almost just as guilty as Cry for trying to cover the whole thing... In this case, Chey seems almost in the right for trying to hold the LNC accountable. But like I've said, she really needs to learn how to convey her emotions better. Her tweets have been extremely destructive and helping nobody. Her locking her tumblr is recent because if you go a few pages back, you can see her commenting about the situation on tumblr. I'm disappointed that she decided to just hide instead of owning up to it. It's just making her look worse.
Oh no! You don't need to apologize. I'm sorry that it came off that I was talking about your post. I didn't get the impression that you were excusing his actions, but I can see now how it seemed like I was talking about you. My post was directed more at people on twitter who firmly believe that he didn't know what he was doing. Like I've said before, he definitely needs to go to therapy and stop streaming if he wants to better himself. The cheating thing isn't too surprising as it's been speculated for a while, but I'm definitely shocked that Russ went public and told his side of the story. (And now I have a reason to dislike Angel too lol.) Good on him, but this is only revealing that pretty much most of LNC has their own set of issues. Reading this reminded me of drama from high school...only to realize these people are all adults. Yikes. Thinking about how many fans claimed that the LNC was their safe space makes me feel icky now.
Okay, PULL glitched for me and I couldn't read the other posts about the LNC until now. It's becoming more clear that they knew something was up but chose not to act on it, and that is pretty disappointing. Now I feel like even if they continue without Cry, why should people even support them knowing that they could have done something about this much sooner? Anyways, it seems like there's more information that we don't know yet, so I'm going to wait for that (if they even decide to say it). Also, I completely disagree with anything that has to do with the idea that Cry wasn't "aware" that what he was doing was "grooming." I think that's a bit dangerous, because there is no way an adult was clueless about the power dynamics in play when it comes to talking to underage fans. It's a bit annoying that people rather argue that he didn't have "evil intentions" rather than just simply find his actions fucked up. I think people are way too attached to his persona of being this "soft / chill dude" that their perceptions of him are completely warped. The cognitive dissonance... Mental health issues, a messed up family background, stunted growth.... While all of these may have contributed to his current behavior, there's still NO EXCUSE for an adult to enter themselves in a situation they know they shouldn't have. I'm tired of seeing people give this grown man a break. I have mental health issues and I still feel like a child sometimes too, but I never thought about talking to a minor sexually lmao?? The moment I see an underage dude in my DMs it's an instant block.
I might be biased because I've gone through a similar-ish situation, but I can understand Chey's behavior back then to a certain extent. Imagine having an older boyfriend that groomed you since you were 16 and then you find out he cheated on you with his underage fans... Of course, that doesn't mean that the verbal abuse that Cry and his friends received was justified. In reality, she just needed to leave that situation ASAP. While I believe that the victims in this situation are justified in expressing how they feel in the way they think is best, I think it would actually be best for Chey to post a concise statement instead of going back and forth with people from the LNC and being all over the place. Based on some reactions I've read in other places, I think people essentially think she "doesn't count" because of her past and her behavior. I'm glad to see that most (?) of Cry's friends seem to be siding with the victims. I don't really know how to feel over Jund essentially admitting he was willing to let "one creepy thing" slide for the sake of financial stability. If you're depending on a friend to the point you might be "homeless" without him, shouldn't you be questioning what you're doing with your life? It's a little fishy but I don't see any point in tracking down every single person associated with Cry to see whether or not they were aware. Because at the end of the day, it's Cry who took advantage of minors and he should be the first one to be held accountable.
I came here to express how disappointed I am in the amount of people who are still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and even forgive him. And this is coming from someone who's watched his content since they were 11. I'm 20 now. His comment section is basically everyone holding hands and having a kumbaya moment. It hasn't even been a day since he admitted to taking advantage of minors, and his fans are just giving him heartfelt letters and how they hope the best for him. Don't get me wrong, the dude totally has issues and he needs to go to therapy. But that doesn't excuse the fact that he took advantage of his underage fans. It's also amazing to see that in his video and tweets, he's being extremely vague. "When I was younger," "I had relations with people," "I had no self-worth," etc. You were an adult. You had sexual relationships with underage girls. You cheated on your girlfriend (who you also started dating when she was underage). Even if it was all purely online, that doesn't make it any less okay. People should be outraged regardless. I can't believe I have to say that. I highly doubt that he was "unaware" of their ages. In my opinion, if he was really sorry, he should just go to therapy and quit doing YT. Judging by the comments, he can easily take advantage of another impressionable teenager.
This is kinda late, but the "bloomers" are attached to the skirt. It's a Liz Lisa sukapan, which are shorts that are meant to look like a skirt. I personally love wearing them because I can wear a skirt without worrying about showing my butt off to people... I think for a Liz Lisa outfit, she coordinated the top and bottom pretty well...
I liked her when watching SIXTEEN, but I changed my mind when watching Produce 101... She just seemed so overrated? The vocal trainers gave her legit criticism and she never really improved, yet everyone still favored her... Her voice just sounds too immature to me? I really wouldn't listen to her as a solo artist, but I know she would stand out too much in a girl group... I don't know, I just don't see her as an idol. She does variety shows well though.
After reading the comments on Timothy's ig, I am starting to get pretty irritated... From the beginning, the remaining support I had for Melanie was gone. Even if the details are vague, that perhaps Timothy is lying, or the whole "innocent until proven guilty" BS, I believe that it takes a lot for someone to just flat out confess something on this scale. I do not see how making such a confession would provide you "fame." especially when it involves someone who is far more "famous." Considering Melanie's "statements," it just makes everything more confusing and uncomfortable... What I can't believe is that Melanie stans are naive enough to remove any consideration towards this being true just because of dates being mixed up (with evidence being based on social media)... To them, because Melanie posted a boring song with mediocre lyrics, apparently she's not a rapist anymore. It infuriates me even more that the same "Crybabies" are constantly posting on their accounts about "spreading positivity" are leaving brutal, hate comments on Timothy's ig... How did Melanie work hard for anything? Her lyrics are elementary. Her "aesthetic" is a rip off Japanese street fashion. I don't see anything much original about her. She can't even make a proper statement about this issue. In fact, her fans had to do the dirty work for her lmaooooo.
I like how she chose to "explain" the meaning behind this necklace (that nobody has seen before/asked for an explanation), rather than that COLLAR that always shows up in her videos w/ her boyfriend....
Took a quick look at her ig and I'm hollering!! Okay, who sent this? lmao. I think anyone with eyeballs can see that she's not korean. I mean Oh wait. Nevermind. I can see now. She's totally~~~~~ korean!!11!
Tbh there's not really a point to compare anime characters to those in YS. Most anime have really generic-looking characters. There's literally an endless list of characters that seem like the other, and it'll be impossible to fully determine which one he ripped off unless there's concrete evidence. I know it's pure speculation, but we can't have the thread clogged up with just comparisons with random anime characters. I think it's already established that none of the character designs are distinct or screams out "creativity." They just all seem like OCs that have been designed in like 20 min.
I recently followed her, so I'm not sure about her history. Personally, I don't think her posts bother me that much. In terms of the "aesthetic" pictures, I think it's nothing more than just...aesthetic pictures. I don't really see it as if she's trying to act special or anything. In terms of the SJW stuff, I only see that in her stories, and it's always just to ask people to fight against a certain bill or something, which is good, because there are a lot of shitty bills being proposed recently.
I don't understand why people are so surprised by the "witch hunt" through journalism... Like that's nothing really new. Youtube is literally a cesspool of clickbait, so they should know. Even CTK used clickbait for his "response" video... Also why do other grown men need to defend one grown man? Like yeah, I get they're all in the same "circle" (or want to suck his dick) but Felix is a grown man, not a little baby. I admit that calling someone a Neo-Nazi or anything similar when they haven't outright genuinely said anything or did anything that made them one is harsh. But there's no way I'm going to give him asspats or anything for "being strong" and "being attacked by the media" when literally he said these words himself. I'll acknowledge his apology, but I'm not going to act as if nothing ever happened. OT:
