Hi all, I paid the server bill for the month so the site can be archived, sorry for the mess, didn't realize there'd be such an uproar. The site's in read-only mode. Happy archiving. Here's a link to a user-made PULL discord server: https://discord.gg/vZFEm75
"Hey, could you create a new account and make it 18+? We love you, but you're exposing minors and easily triggered girls to edgy pornographic material and it's quite disturbing-" "ALL THAT HATE DIRECTED AT ME!!! LOOK AT ALL THESE HATERS HATING ON MY NEW, LIBERATED WOMANHOOD!! I CAN'T BEAR THIS TOXICITY! FINE, I'M LEAVING, WITH MY REAL FANS, THE ONES WHO OBJECTIFY ME AND THROW MONEY AT ME FOR SEXUAL FAVORS"
Not to be a party pooper, but Lovesick is just as much of an unfinished project as YanSim is at the moment. I see everyone getting hyped up and it just reminds me of the hype for past YanSim clones, you know, the ones who crashed? The past games also clogged up the thread... For no payoff in the end. I agree with washi_tape, let's move this discussion to another thread.
I knew it would be the case as soon as she opened her OnlyFans account and posted the corresponding "schedule". This woman has literally never committed to any longterm project since she got rid of her hyper-controlling momager. She's completely unable to discipline herself, much less organize her time around a SCHEDULE, which makes sense considering her chaotic childhood where she barely had any schooling. But her latest manic obsession with "degenerate fetishes" isn't gonna be as easy to recover from, because you don't just scrap a budding career in the porn industry like one in the VTuber industry (her Jabberwocky Malice phase). Whatever she'll do next, it'll be wayyy harder to find people to do collabs with, or just to treat her like a professionnal.
Holy sh*t, he sounds like a legit psychopath in those screenshots. I know armchair diagnoses are against the rules, but reading Alex's messages to the other Dev is literally giving me flashbacks of conversations I've had with overt narcissists/ highly manipulative people seeking to break someone. There is so much to unpack in these screenshots I don't even know how to address all of it without missing some glaring manipulation tactic. This is NOT the way a legit victim talks. This is NOT how a depressed, burned out person acts. It's pure psychological bullying seeking to intimidate his competition into disappearing, because he knows they're a threat to his own success. It's sick.
A storyline incorporating more than 2-3 love rivals is bound to have plot holes, and make the love interest seem too OP. It doesn't leave you enough time to flesh out the rival characters and their relationships properly. I don't get why it became the "norm for Yandere games" to be about killing as many people as possible. To me, yanderes are fascinating because of their delusional relationship with their love interest, and how it develops over time. Seeing them get more and more obsessed, their antics, how the love interest and their world reacts to them, etc. The key to exploiting such a character is their interactions with people, their thinking, their trauma, etc. Making a game out of such an interesting concept, just to turn it into a Hitman game (which YandereDev admitted to doing) is such a waste. A yandere is more than just a psychopath from a generic action/ horror movie, which is basically what Ayano is now, with her whole emotionless schtick and cardboard personality with a boring past. Ayano's just a mindless, inhuman killing machine, her Senpai is completely irrelevant to her character. Hell, she doesn't even have a consistent attachment to him! She can just decide to kill him on a dime when it's game over. Which COULD be interesting to explore, y'know, the fact that she sees him as an object to fulfill her selfish desire, and doesn't value him as an actual living person (like an incel with women... like Alex with women...). But let's be real, there's no way someone like Alex (an incel who wants "a malleable, naive girlfriend with big titties", lemme remind you) can handle that, because he doesn't even see this way of thinking as problematic. Mirai Nikki is a yandere series with A LOT of flaws, but Yuno is definitely my favorite Yandere and it's such a shame a multidimensional character like her was replaced by Cardboard Ayano as representative of the archetype. She had everything the latter lacked, an interesting past that explains her actions, a real reason to obsess over Yukki (tied to her past), EMOTIONS (ever heard of those?), and even character development. /rant over
I'm not gonna put too much hope in Lovesick. Several dev teams tried to make YandereSim copycats to spite Alex and they all failed, because you need more than just spite to make a good game of that scope. Watashi no Mono, Seasons of Love, Bullying Simulator, etc... There were many projects that had my attention and looked promising at first glance, even offering updates, but they all interrupted development about 6-12 months in, and faded into obsurity. I got burned one too many times, I'm not doing this again.
I see what you mean, however I don't agree with this at all. Venus' claim of being "a slut from childhood" is obviously false, because a child can't understand what a "slut" or "sex" even is in the way an adult can. MUCH LESS know what sex work is, and its implications. It's just a narrative used by pedos trying to justify grooming, and subsequently assaulting kids because "they can totally consent, they had fun" Which is obviously gross pedo logic, and not something to ever seriously consider true. Unless a child was groomed by an adult (or several...) to act that way, or was exposed to explicit content, they will never even consider it. IF what Venus said was true, it opens the possibility of sexual abuse early in her life. In the context of this discussion (Margo forcefully sexualizing Venus from toddlerhood), it doesn't matter if 21 year old Venus is a slutty woman who willingly became a sex worker and uses questionable narratives to sell her products ("baby beenoos", "childhood dream of being a slut"). What matters, is that child Venus was sexualized as a child, and, I can't believe I have to even say that, A CHILD CANNOT CONSENT TO BEING SEXUALIZED. I don't care if they grow up to become very sexually open in adulthood, those creepy pictures of toddler Venus posing in a suggestive way are alarming, as well as the pictures of her half naked being POSTED WITHOUT HER CONSENT with the obvious intent of being spread around (by gossip sites, and yes, creepy men). Even if Margo's intentions weren't to attract pedos and sexualize her child, she knows enough about the internet to understand its risks, especially with posting pics of children. If you are talking about teenager Venus doing suggestive content, "of her own volition" (after being paraded as a child model since her early childhood), then this argument still doesn't hold. Any half decent parent would put a stop to it immediately, and have a serious talk with their teen (maybe suggest therapy). Only a downright ABUSIVE parent would ENCOURAGE IT, and monetize it to fund their own lifestyle. It's not just "shit parenting", it's NOT parenting at all, it's child exploitation, and it doesn't matter if the CHILD is having fun. Not like Venus seems to "have fun" anyway.
Watch her deflect these claims and say she's actually a "gravure model" or "AV idol". She hates aknowledging what she's doing is porn for some reason. Even when she was doing a collab with a legit porn actress (what happened to that btw?) who called herself a porn actress, she called her an AV idol which confused her fans. She says she's sexually liberated and a freak, but she can't let go of the innocent/ baby persona. Idk how much of that is for pedo-pandering and satisfying men's Madonna-whore complex, and how much is just being afraid of leaving her past behind and start anew.
Marge has an extensive history of blowing Venus' problems wayyyy out of proportions. Remember when she accused Manaki of slowly killing Venus by poisoning her with anti-freeze back when Venus was hospitalized? Then when the Internet started speculating that Venus might not be completely innocent, she did a 180 and suddenly Venus was the psychopath. She has no idea what's going on in Venus' life anymore than we do. Also when did Venus publish the results of her scans? You can't even diagnose personality disorders with brain scans, unless it's caused by brain injury or a degenerative illness. But the scan thing was dropped after she mentioned it and we never heard from it again, so Marge is probably just lying. You know if she had proof or if Venus had told her she'd post all the screenshots, she did it before so it's not because she's respectful of her privacy. Also, when did Venus ever have to go to court? Again, if it was the case the whole Internet would be talking about it, and Marge would post proof if she had any. We're not even 100% sure she legally divorced Manaki because she sometimes pretends they're still together when it suits her (i. e. interview with Kizuna Ai). And I've never heard of a divorce case where one party has to get a mental diagnosis to prove they're a psychopath?? TLDR: Marge is gonna Marge, don't feed the troll
Onision is a particularly nasty case, he's definitely not the norm for online personalities, if that's what you're implying. But it's true that figures who are known for their social media presence, and not an actual talent (art, music, cinema, anything that involves consistent work and talent) are wayyy more likely to be(come) snowflakes and/ or scammers. At least in my experience, it's exceedingly hard to find an influencer that doesn't have a few skeletons in their closet (more than the average person), or turns into an obnoxious, out-of-touch and kinda arrogant person. But, I mean, non-Internet ("real-life") celebrities are also super messed up in their own way too. The world of rich and famous people is full of drama, cheating, drugs, sexual and emotional abuse (Weinstein scandal, Epstein scandal...), mental illness, crime, and more. Not to mention they are wayyy less likely to be held accountable for their actions. Don't trust rich/ famous people at all, they arrived where they are by ignoring, or actively supporting truly messed up people (again, think of all the perverts who go unchecked in politics and Hollywood). So yeah, to go back on the topic of Onision, and others like him, they're the worst among the millions of inoffensive influencers out there. Most of them don't really do anything illegal, they're just kinda unlikeable.
Exactly. I know this opinion might be unpopular, but I have ZERO pity for adult public figures who complain about "online harrassment" and "slander". Unless they are physically threatened IRL by stalkers, I have only one thing to say: log off. That's it. If your job NEEDS you to have an online presence and you can't take the gossip/ hate, then being an influencer isn't for you: get another job. Bam, your life is now drama-free. High schoolers don't have that luxury, which is why they get our sympathy. If Alex actually is being harrassed IRL (which I doubt, in fact I doubt he ever goes out at all), then he just needs to take it to the relevant authorities and take care of it like an adult. Which he won't, because he needs the pity from his tween fanbase. Gotta milk that sweet, sweet validation with carefully crafted animations depicting his 30 year old self as a defenseless child!
The reason why people feel bad for a lone teenager being pressured into drinking alcohol, is because they're a teenager. Teens are young, they're inexperienced and desperate to fit in because they're just hormonal kids trying to get through the hell that is high school, or college. It really doesn't work for a 30-something year old man, who is self-employed and literally doesn't interact with his peers IRL. A more fitting metaphor would be... Wait, there isn't any fitting metaphor, because a grown person over 25 is expected to be mature enough to not take Internet trolling/ "harrassment" seriously, and get their work done, especially when they're generously paid to do so!!!
Am I the only one heavily distrurbed by this "cute female counterpart" ? In the "Hate and Shame" video, Alex is supposedly trying to convey his personal, hellish experience of harrassment and bullying, online and ALLEGEDLY in real life as well. There was no reason to use a cute young anime girl as his avatar, because Alexander Mahan is a grown, 30 year old man. Not a cute teenage girl (like most of his fanbase consists of), who would probably have reacted much differently to the situation. The fact he's highlighting his "cute female counterpart" on Reddit makes his ridiculous manipulation that much more obvious. He used this avatar solely to gain more pity, because he knows an anime high school girl is a more loveable figure than a balding, malnourished 30 year old shut-in obsessively monitoring the Internet and streaming video games for hours on end. The fact no one seems to have picked up on this very basic, but still toxic manipulation is quite worrying. At least it was more subtle when he used a cute anime boy as an avatar for update vids, you could call it a stylistic choice... It's not even the first time Alex has shown a tendency to depict himself as an anime girl. Remember the gross genderbend art he commissioned from Mulberry, of him with giant breasts? He fetishizes the concept so much, I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of the reason why he's obsessed with sexualising girls in his game. This man is such a creep, there are so many layers to his perversion...
