Hi all, I paid the server bill for the month so the site can be archived, sorry for the mess, didn't realize there'd be such an uproar. The site's in read-only mode. Happy archiving. Here's a link to a user-made PULL discord server: https://discord.gg/vZFEm75

I'm not familiar with the others included on this site.

And I'm not a total fan where I can't hear/understand reason, I just noticed some things that seemed wrong. Of course, I too could be wrong. It was bound to happen eventually.. :)

Oh, and the mods will probably see that my IP address is from the U.S. I don't think she's ever been here, heh.. :)

Though I disagree with the attitude thing, I think it'll be nice to have someone that is a casual fan of hers. It'll help add more perspective, I'm sure. :alpacawink:

I know you guys aren't lousy people, and you have a reason that explains why.. I'm just curious. I might be misguided though, but I think she can be cute and like many of her videos. :)

I believe if she lived honestly and wasn't a huge dickhead and didn't say all sorts of false shit that I would enjoy her videos more. She has topics that can be interesting, but they're misinformed and she does it in a slightly sleazy way imo. But yeah, she would be a good youtuber if she was a semi-good person.

Honestly.. when I first watched her videos I liked her, I liked her personality.. everything. But the more videos I'd watch, her personality started to really shine through, and she came across as a know-it-all, and a "everything I say is fact" kind of person, which would bother me in anyone.

I'm sure if she lost that know-it-all attitude, and stopped thinking everything she says about Japan is true, and all her experiences in Japan is how it is for everyone all the time.. she'd be a decent Youtuber. There's nothing wrong with saying "In my experience". She'd also need to own up to all the shit that she's done/said to fellow Youtubers and the community, because no matter how much her personality changes, there will always be that hanging over her head. People can't trust her, and thats a problem.

Of course, she'll never do any of this, because she thinks she's right and doesn't think she's done wrong.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. Just better formulated :alpacawink: If she was a decent youtuber she would probably have more subscribers and not naïve people.

Where were you originally from?

Ok, this.

Little things like this annoy me the most.

No, Mira. You are not a Japanese that was originally from Canada. You are Canadian.

You are from Canada. Not originally, not figuratively, not nothing. Literally. You are literally from Canada.

Plain and simple.

Ugh. Seriously. Even if she gets citizenship one day, she'll still be from Canada. I can't remember where but she said somewhere that when people ask her where she's from she tells them she's from Japan because that's where she's living. I swear I read that somewhere but I can't place where..

Doesn't she understand that her attitude is the problem here?

Other than a couple of people, no one would care if she up and went ''I love Japan. I want to live here for the rest of my life and I'm doing my best to get a citizenship. I feel at home here, which is great. YAY!''

But, no.

She has to spew stuff like uncontrollably becoming Japanese, suddenly looking Japanese?!!?!, how Japanese she is, how everyone thinks she's Japanese, how brilliant it is that she just suddenly became Japanese, how fluent her Japanese is, how other countries suck...

I'm betting there are many members on PULL too who are living in Japan, f*cking LOVE Japan, and have Japanese boy&girlfriends/spouses and have never received any negative comments about choosing to live in Japan other than an odd one or two. What Mira is doing isn't that uncommon, her attitude regarding it is what grinds the gears...

I honestly wouldn't care, and I would probably support her, if she just said something like 'I love Japan. I want to live here for the rest of my life and I'm doing my best to get citizenship. I feel at home here, which is great. YAY!''

I understand she wants to be part of society, fit in and all that. But it'll never happen, and it's not a bad thing that it doesn't. Japan isn't treating foreigners like terrible people.

I honestly wish she'd make a "Japan isn't perfect video" to see what she says about it, considering how much she puts down every other country, and puts Japan on this impossible pedestal. I like Japan as much as the next person, but it's not perfect.

*I would probably support her, if she was honest, and didn't cause this kind of drama. If she didn't lie about her visa's and history in Japan.

But it's totally not true that foreigners don't accept her as Japanese! Only right wing conservative party racists who are everything wrong with the world think she can't be japanese in every single sense of the word!

She'll be "legally" japanese, but not ethnically japanese. She firmly asserts that ethnically japanese is " anyone that is either "has citizenship of Japan" "has ancestors who have/do live on Japan island" or "a national" of Japan."

Believing it and saying it doesn't make it so.

Ethnicity isn't something that can change by moving some place new, and acquiring citizenship. Her ethnicity is where her ancestors are from, and she's racially white and culturally Canadian. If she gets citizenship, then good for her, but that just makes her a white Canadian with Japanese citizenship, she doesn't became anymore Japanese than she was before.

But honestly, she can think whatever she wants I guess. She's wrong, but she can still think whatever she wants.
