I've been followed Venus since, forever, but with yesterday's post on instagram I decided to say, finally, goodbye to her and unfollow her IG and YT account, mostly because she stopped making the content I like (kawaii stuff, decent high quality videos). I feel really sad for everything that is happening to her, and I'm really angry cause it seems Manaki is still supporting her in some way. As someone said, I think Manaki got enough karma and even though deep in my heart there was a time I wished they could be together again as before (for Venus's sake, so she can have a family again), now I prefer he would kick her out of his life and Japan.

There are a lot of jobs that can grow up your creativity like design, graphic design, content creator (a real one with at least a bachelor degree in communication and marketing), strategic social media management, strategic designer, film director ecc.. (I workn in this field and I can tell you that creativity is a must, is the heart of theese jobs)

I did look up her age indeed. While I don't agree that she still looks like a kid without all the editing and make up, it's still very wrong and disturbing to basically create "legal child porn". It's very obvious what this girl is supposed to portray, she looks no older than 12 in most of her images and men are fapping to it without questioning themselves.. and venus using feminist concepts while supporting this pedo baiting stuff is honestly incredibly weird.

I also think it's gross, but I can play the devil's advocate for the "legal child porn" in regards to Venus.

1) Since Margaret took over Venus' online presence when she was 12/13, Venus has been groomed into thinking doing softcore porn for grown men is okay and something to be proud of ("empowering"). There are videos of her as a tween entertaining men on a japanese streaming site (I think it was niconico? I don't know where to dig them up, it's probably posted on an old thread). It doesn't excuse it, but it explains why Venus is so desensitized to these issues that would shock Westerners, and how insensitive she is in general.

2) Japanese culture is really, really gross when it comes to what they call "lolicons". Basically pedos. I don't mean to generalize all of Japanese men, but it's pretty much accepted here that a woman's worth is directly correlated to cuteness, youth, and naiveté/ stupidity. It's reflected in their media depictions of women in anime, movies, talkshows, J-pop and yes, porn. Any woman older than 25 is considered old by their standards, google "christmas cake girl". Cuteness and sexyness are intrinsically linked in Japan. Venus only reflects the culture of her country of residence.

Don't get me wrong, I find all this completely wrong, and I wish it wasn't as normalized as it is. But yeah, I don't think Venus would've ended up this way if it wasn't for her upbringing and cultural background. What worries me the most are the young girls exposed to this bullshit by someone they look up to and being told this is ok. It's not.
