Regardless to how much money she has, looking at Kenna from a third party, she seriously needs to invest in therapy for her depression. At least get therapy just to help better decide the next steps in life in a healthier way. All the stuff she buys never make her happy, whether they're objects or experiences. Having no goals at all can be extremely exhausting mentally, especially when she's at an age where she should be mentally and physically active. She's done a good deal of traveling, that's great, she should really consider investing in her future now. So if Japan didn't work out, something else is bound to... she just need to take life a little more seriously. Yes, she has it easier than others but she should know that money and health don't last forever. She needs counseling and fast.
If I were Kenna, I'd go back to the US, study (in a vocational college if she didn't want a university), get a certificate in some design related field and get an internship. If her parents have connections, she might make it into a good company - doesn't have to be a corporate environment since a lot of smaller business would suit her aesthetics and have good work culture. She needs a good kick to her rear. As someone mentioned, if she considers going into Ivy league, her grades definitely won't vouch for her. And if she wanted to use her trust fund for that, it would run out in a year or so.
A whole thread about Kenna's journey to Tokyo and the only conclusion is "muh autism", which I'm sure would be her main excuse for not being happy in Japan. She's going to use it as an excuse. It must be so sad not achieving development when you have so much resources and money to do anything you want.
Like Qualle said, it's too generic so it doesn't really help with getting more searches online. Basically, Taylor isn't that big of a social personality to claim to know what the "best" cafes are. It goes in technical territory but if I were Taylor and just starting out a lifestyle magazine online, I would be more specific with the content.
Best cafes? What type of cafes? She's been on social for so long you'd think she'd be able to articulate her wording a bit more if she's learned a bit about SEO. I think it would be best to hire a social expert to help her out. Her ideas were never the best.
I'll be honest, I don't know how well this concept would work for the market she's targeting in Asia, but where I'm from, this works pretty well and people eat this shit up. Only problem is Tay isn't as relevant anymore, so why would people want to follow her style guides and taste?
I couldn't have said it better, and thank you for the story! I also suffer from insomnia but tried different approaches to tackle it. You're right, working for long shifts and setting a daily routine really helps. I took sleeping pills to sleep early and wake up very early. She needs to get a proper diet and a fucking job. Can't believe she thinks that melatonin pills are supposed to work magically. They're one of the less invasive methods to help her regulate her sleep cycles. Insomnia isn't fun but it can be treated if she just put some effort into it.
