Hi all, I paid the server bill for the month so the site can be archived, sorry for the mess, didn't realize there'd be such an uproar. The site's in read-only mode. Happy archiving. Here's a link to a user-made PULL discord server: https://discord.gg/vZFEm75

You having access to none of those would be a blessing, Mira. I hope no one tells her about proxies. :D

If Mira got stuck in China she'd have to use Weibo and, for once, properly learn a language to communicate. :happee:

As for Japanophile, I really think Mira will use that word in the future. It's a word that some weeaboos like to throw around to make their obsession with Japan more sophisticated/ knowledgeable.

Being a "Japanophile" means you're interested in a wide range of things to do with Japan, not just anime/ manga. It means learning about history, language, culture (and cultures of different areas), people, dialects, accents, politics, economics, social dynamics etc. etc., all of which Mira knows squat about.

That's just my opinion though. Some people just see Japanophile & weeaboos as the same thing, and that's their interpretation. There's a definite overlap between the words, lets just say that. :lamaheadshake:

Mira posting her pro-Japan ramblings on Weibo and Youku would go over swimmingly, no? :haiplz:

Just imagine:

"China needs so many more freedoms!"

"China sucks! Japan's way better!"

"Oh hang on guys, someone's knocking at my door..."

Next day's headline:

Wapanese blogger arrested by the People's Liberation Army.

The -phile ending is used for many words, so for me it doesn't really remind me of pedophile so much. You have words like Sinophile (love of Chinese culture) and Anglophile (love of English culture), so it just reminds me of those things.

But yea, I get your point. Doesn't sound so nice, but people like to use it because it sounds more... "official".

Mira is not a Japanophile : P

She is just a woman who lives in Japan and seems to enjoy with being entitled as "a Japanese", by non-Japanese people who don't live in Japan and consider Japan as an ultimate goal (her fan base's idea of her).

I don't think there's anything wrong with being a Japanophile. I've been back and forth on weeaboos.

The problem with Mira is that she goes beyond being obsessed with Japan. She wants to become Japanese, it's extreme, I'm certain she's not the only person living in Japan, that is so obsessed with Japan and Japanese culture that they try and scrub away any evidence of their own culture and/or ethnicity. But it's insulting in a way.

Mira has kinda done her own special weeaboo thing by coming up with "white Japanese". Many girls have tried to actually pass as half Japanese and fabricated stories but they always eventually get caught. But I guess since she has no style or makeup skills she can't pull that one off.

I am WAY too fluent in written English to be Mira. Both American and Canadian forms, I know when an extra U is needed. :)

I'm not familiar with the others included on this site.

And I'm not a total fan where I can't hear/understand reason, I just noticed some things that seemed wrong. Of course, I too could be wrong. It was bound to happen eventually.. :)

Oh, and the mods will probably see that my IP address is from the U.S. I don't think she's ever been here, heh.. :)
