You know, I’m trying to think of something that can be seen as constructive criticism for this guy but... I just think he’s absolute trash lol, he’s shown time and time again he’s not a good guy, he’s annoying af, like what good points does this korean wannabe have?

This mf actually did a cover of a KAACHI song...If it wasn't any more obvious that he's a damn Koreaboo it is now. Why would you do a cover of a song of a group that is known to be the embodiment of everything Koreaboo???

Great, now I want to sell my bag... 😭

Also it's pretty gross how he tries so hard to latch onto these really young rookie groups. It was the same with VAV ect, I'm sure there's been more since then but I don't watch his videos anymore. He's desperate to make those connections and try and claw his way up. He looks ancient next to these young guys, he's like a damn cougar. It creeps me out.

That and this KAACHI thing. Why cover a group everyone hates when everyone already hates you for being a kboo??? What kinda dumbass logic is that?

Also...anyone else remember how he once said that if you're not asian you have very little chance of making it in kpop and overall has this east asian superiority complex? But all of a sudden he's doing a cover of a song made by some Koreaboo white girls? Hypocritical ass. o.O

I know right?! His 30 year-old self's actions speak louder than words. Wearing clothes that young Koreans wear, photo-shopping himself to look like a young Korean, trying to act like a "cute" Korean (aegyo), dressing in a young Korean school boy's uniform to a wedding (wtf...), and now his latest embarrassment which is wearing flower crowns trying to act "cute" in the Kaachi cover.

I mean, the way he behaves around these rookie groups, which some of the members are still teenagers, is so inappropriate.

But no matter how much this Korean wannabe tries to look and be Korean, he still looks a 40-year-old Filipino man. I mean, even all the make-up can't hide everything; crows feet, wrinkles, his Filipino features that he desperately wants to hide. I mean, if you see him in person you can see past all the make-up and filters, and DKB who met Edward in person drew an accurate portrait of him; accurate facial features, crows feet, wrinkles.

Edward's self-hate is real.

my guess is that he's projecting because he's insecure about not being able to be in the k-pop industry, so he's making everyone else feel bad about it.

Guys, I think the Kaachi cover is supposed to be ironic or something. Edward (and his delulu fanbase) have it in their minds that he's not the massive Koreaboo that he is, so them covering Kaachi was probably supposed to be an "upgrade" from "real" Kpop influencers or something.

Like Johnny, except Johnny can actually sing and is decent at mixing vocals.

he's 28... :alpacadone: that's not old, but knowing that, the way he hangs out and acts around those teenage k-pop stars seems extra gross.

And not to mention, needy for attention.

I wish there’s some way to correct his age on the first post of this thread though,so people won’t mistake it anymore.

I used to really like Edward before the Kyla thing, but even back then I used to cringe at how bad he wants to be Korean. (Mini rant: the time he used the example of Koreans speaking Korean to him in the beauty parlor or whatever, and saying it was because he looks Korean, when in reality he just doesn’t look Caucasian, so they probably just decided to see if he spoke Korean before they tried English. This happened to me when I lived in Japan, the locals always spoke Japanese to me before trying English unless I was with my European friends. I most definitely do not look Japanese, as a Filipino American. But Edward thinks that because they speak Korean to him he looks Korean passing?? The cringe)

Everytime I check up on him it gets worse and worse. He’s too old to be an idol, and there’s no hiding his South East Asian features. Even among the Thai idols, they pick kids that are more East Asian passing, like BamBam almost looks like he could be Korean or Chinese and is probably the most popular of the Thai idols, while Sorn is less East Asian passing and isn’t as popular (I mean you could argue that this is because of their companies, but this is just from my observations on which idols trend more). So, why does Edward think he can make it in a society that heavily favors East Asian features? He’s also been living in Korea for so long, and it bothers me that his Korean is still so bad. It’s embarrassing that he’s representing the Filipino American community and making us look like clowns.

It's not because he looks Korean, it's because 90% of the time they just.. speak Korean because this is Korea. I'm white but people speak Korean to me everywhere I go. The one place people speak English to me a lot is the beauty store in tourist areas because it's obviously aa very safe assumption 99% of foreigners there are tourist. It's the same as back home in America. When we see an Asian we don't start speaking Korean/Japanese/Chinese/every other Asian language/etc. like come on. Like you said, it's so cringe and so pathetic too.

Edward's self-hate is real.

So odd there are actual kpop idols older, same age, or closer to his age but they never style themselves like Edward. EXO doesn't even look like that.

because they're men who dress like men. their appeal is to mostly young women, so they need to look classy or sexy. they're outgrown the cuter concepts and so has edward, he's just in denial.
