As you’ve seen with all of our tours, when we select our support acts, we attempt to bring acts that will help introduce Combichrist to fans outside of our fanbase. This has worked well for us in the past, and it was in this spirit that we invited Blood On The Dance Floor to tour with us. Like all announcements, we knew that this decision would be met with some concern but we thought that the different styles would be the source of conversation. We were not aware of the controversy about their past behavior. It has been difficult to read everything posted today; our sole goal is to bring you a kick ass tour that you can be excited and proud of and it’s become clear that we won’t be able to do that with the choice we made. As a result we have released Blood On The Dance Floor from this tour and are rethinking our direct support. We expect to have a new announcement for you shortly.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, we must announce that we will no longer be touring with Combichrist, and honestly we have the social media to blame. It’s truly sad, and quite pathetic that people are willing to stoop as low as to spread some sick, twisted rumors about me, and it’s even more sad that people feed into it. I have NEVER been convicted of any crime that I have been accused of, but I feel as though I have been shackled by defamation. We have ALWAYS treated our fans as they were family, and we give the the upmost respect, as we hold our family in the highest regard. There's still factual stuff about Dahvie online, like his mistreatment towards Ash Costello of NYD (and how BOTDF kicked off NYD because Ash wasn't becoming his play thing and didn't let an underage fan come into his tour bus if I recall correctly), him screaming at someone on the tour off stage (i believe they were a friend of New Years Day) claiming she's a bitch, slut, he hates her guts, and that he hopes she dies a slow and painful death (bonus: he tried to pass it off to his fans when called out on it as "just a joke!!!"), him and Jayy bullying the shit out of an 11 year old girl when they were close to their 30s, and so much other shit. I sincerely doubt that just talk of sexual harassment/assault alone got them kicked out.

okay so when I was 13 I became a huge fan of them and Jeffree star idek why bc I thought the lyrics were funny rather than taking the disgusting lyrics to heart. Until my dad took me to a botdf show I was in love with this band. I was up front so I could see everything and junk. Dahvie threw out blow up dolls and dildos to the crowd. Dahvie also threw water on girls shirts including mine (I was 13 and developed early so I was a double d, plus wearing a white shirt) and later in the show he jumped off the stage to engage with the fans during the song and he went up to me, and touched my boobs and climbed up the bar separating the stage and crowd and leaned over me with his disgusting dick in my face. Thinking about that whole thing now makes me sick. I'm disgusted that I even helped them earn money. I hate them for what they did to so many little girls that are brainwashed by him because of his platform, they think it's okay to do sexual acts with him because he is famous he must be good when he is only manipulating them. Also going to address the video of him violating an underaged girl who was Intoxicated. Telling her to strip for the camera and when she fell on the floor zooms under her dress like fuck them. Jessi Slaughter apologized to BOTDF for accusing them of rape, but I'm not sure if she just did that so fans let her be. I read some of the comments of the tumblr blog and I'm shocked that there are so many people who get (sexual) harassed by Dahvie (some of them might be made up, but still...). But what I think is much worse are the comment's that still defend BOTDF. I mean, how can you try to defend people like them, especially Dahvie?

I went to a botdf concert when I was like in 8th grade. At the time they were bff's with jeffree star & even touring together. Damn, I was into them age 14 and went right off them a few months after my 15th birthday. Idk what I was thinking when I was into them. I thought they were so edgy and controversial and shocking - to the angsty emo/scene kid me in 2011/12 it appealed to me. Like you I thought the highly sexualised lyrics were funny. Not long after turning 15 matured a lot and started to abandon my old scene kid/emo style and develop my own (best decision of my teen years (apart from university)). As I matured I found BOTDF and their lyrics very immature - they treat sex like a game when it's not.

After reading your story I am SO glad I never gave them any of my [parent's] money - fortunately I never bought any of their merch, or albums/singles (I just converted YouTube videos to mp3s and downloaded it to my laptop), and thank God I never went to one of their shows - as I understand it they didn't tour in the UK when I was into them. The way I see Dahvie is that he only dresses the way he does to attract the attention of young girls - it's the way of most paedophiles, such as Jimmy Savile in the UK. Dahvie will probably be the 2050s equivalent of Savile - he might be able to hide all his crimes now but it will eventually come out, hopefully he'll be alive to face justice. It's shit that his ignorant and loyal fans defended him and victim blammed you when you told your story, no one asks to be sexually assaulted by a man 20+ years their senior. They all say theu would give anything to have sex with him but I doubt they would feel like that if what happened to you happened to them. The fans that defend him are just as bad as him. My ex boyfriends band toured with them for a while..... I met him twice. He's just a cocky, perverted gross guy who has no filter also pretty sure I heard from other musicians he raped some of his fans or something maybe it was just a rumor- not 100% but I would not put it past him.

Reading some of the stories about some of the member's encounters with Vanity is really sickening....Especially @NymphPrincess' story. I am sorry to hear some of you have to get some very distasteful and obscene messages/acts from this horrible excuse of a human being (To me, all sex offenders are absolutely poor excuses for a human being for ruining people's lives mentally and physically.).

I fortunately was too busy listening to Vocaloid, trying to make m UTAUloid famous and being a butthurt teen back in the days.

Now back on the topic of BoTDF....

Just to say as a musician myself (Mostly classical with admittedly judgemental tastes on music.), BoTDF is the worst of the worst excuse when it comes to music that I can hardly call it music anymore. First of first, Dahvie can't sing. He can't sing at all. A singer must know what types of song they are good at, their skills (control in tone, pitch, pronounciation and etcetra etcetra), he lacks all of this. I absolutely dislike singers who use autotune to correct bad singing and all, as it sounds absolutely annoying to the ears. I don't mind if autotune is used for making weird effects on voices. As someone who doesn't exactly have a favorite genre of music, I have heard much better metal and rock music than this band. In fact, Dahvie's makeup makes me think of a really shitty ripoff of KISS's makeup style.

Also, have any of you guys seen his live performance? Apparently his mic can do the autotuning (Or something like that but still it is a pain to the ears )....

I gotta admit that when I was 14 I was kinda hooked on the Scream for My Ice Cream song oh god why but I wasn't particularly a fan of them, since it's really the only song I have ever listened. I haven't heard of them for a long time but some months ago I found out that same tumblr that exposed everything Dahvie - I am soo happy to see a thread here about them!

But in all honesty, are they still a 'thing'? I believe they had average success back when emo & scene were trendy but now their fans must be at least 18, they have grown out of that crap. Plus, I don't think they have ever performed overseas (at least here in Europe I have never met anyone who was a fan of them, much less interested to attend one of their concerts), so... If nobody cares about them any longer and their reputation is more than f* up because of Dahvie, why are they still going on?

@Nusha I don't think they ever really made it big anywhere to be honest. I think because they had such a limited audience (still do I suppose) they were never going to properly take off - it's a surprise they ever did. Because of that I think they were much more popular in the US than anywhere else. I've personally known less than 5 people who liked them - all of which were from comprehensive school, I've not met anyone in college or university who liked them when they were younger. Somehow they still manage to have a fanbase - their/Dahvie's YouTube channel is evidence of that, as well as the fact that they still sell music/merch and make more and more albums. Like you said a lot of their old fans are like 18+ now and outgrown it so I imagine the current fans either a) overgrown scene kids or b) 11-15 year olds.

I'm a bit late to this thread, but this guy is so sickening. And that letter he wrote about how the internet ruined their reputation with rumors attempting to defame them was just fake. There is just so much evidence that this guy is a rapist. What makes me mad is how has he not gotten into big trouble for what he's done? I know the dumb fans threaten the victims, but seriously! I hope one day he gets what he deserves. It's one thing that he's ruining people's ears with his terrible music, but another to chronically emotionally scar poor young girls!

Apart from the plagiarism and accusations of rape/sexual assault on minors something that really annoys me about Dahvie is the way he reacts to criticism. Anything bad said about BOTDF's music or live performances he reacts in a way that a child would. He seems to have forgotten that he actually started BOTDF as a joke band, yet he takes legitimate criticism against BOTDF so seriously. It's actually quite funny - a 30+ year old man acting like a kid throwing a tantrum.
