Interesting video. Do entertainment visas even come in 6 month periods? Aren't japanese visas typically 1 year or more?
Also her comment on not being good at art enough to draw for her poetry book was strange. Kenna, you have so much money... just commission some artists to illustrate for your book. That doesn't make it any less your book.
That or if you're reading here, why not take your own pictures of things and trace them so you can still have original drawings? You've proven that you're good at copying so why not copy from your own original photos????

Ah yes, Japan was her home, where she ate pasta and pancakes, mostly ventured to Starbucks, made absolutely 0 native friends, never truly cared about learning the language, and shat on their "strict" culture and was often angry it was not America-but-in-Japan.

I'm also not shocked that she stayed in Japan until the last possible moment to prove us wrong and really stick It out for the "year", only to sabotage and inconvenience herself, her family, and her friends by coming back during the busiest travel season of the year and expecting everyone to drop everything for her.

I believe when she went to Europe for a month it was to show her parents she loves Europe&to encourage them to fund Europhile Dark Academia Kenna like she did with Japanophile Weeabo Kenna. I think what made it worse is that bullshit comment she left. Its all bullshit. We have amble evidence to prove that comment is a giant lie. The video wouldn't be half as bad if she didn't write a comment clearly directed at Pull (for being right).

Nowhere in her comments were tons of ppl saying she moved to Japan because Anime. Its clear to me she is bitter af that we were right about everything. It's just so ridiculous how she really said that Japan was a gap year for her to have a new start. For multiple reasons:

First, the sheer privilege and decadence. Who moves to another country and continent just for fun to have something new in life? Who does a gap year in Japan just because? Paycheck to paycheck my arse. Budgeting my arse. This is the life style of a filthy rich person.

Secondly, her lies don't add up to her really wanting to slow down with social media. There are multiple points already collected:

• In her "starting anew" vid she asked her viewers for video suggestions and that she actually wanted to get MORE into video production
• her stating she wanted to upload weekly
• her asking her viewers multiple times when and how they would prefer her to upload
• her getting into Ohayo Quest stuff, why starting to be featured on another channel if you want to distance yourself from yt and social media?

Also why her gap year + "I got entertainment visa, but it's too hard to apply again" doesn't make sense:

• as @TB09 posted before, she said in her Q&A with Kaila, that she could see herself to stay another year
• she said she was doing language school for a year and immerse herself in the culture - why not continuing with the language school and a school visa, which is way easier to get than an entertainment visa?
• why not going for a holiday visa or working holiday visa? (I suspect that is exactly what she got, but wouldn't admit)
• her teasing a photo shoot and that introduction video and other stuff, but never stating "Hey, I got an entertainment visa!" - if it was such hard work to get it, why never mentioning it? Especially as Kenna is flexing over the weakest shit - why not that?
• less than a quarter of her videos during her time in Japan are actually about Japan, how does she even remotely qualify for an specific entertainment visa if more than 75% of her content has nothing to do with Japan?
• aaand the most stupid thing about her lie: She wanted a gap year with less social media and then procedes to apply for an entertainment visa for which she basically has to do more social media??!

She wanted to get a start in Japan with a school visa, but because she hates learning and putting an effort into anything, she quit early and wanted to jump to an entertainment visa as fast as possible, but again, because she hates to work and to make an effort she couldn't meet the requirements for that. Maybe she got scammed by an agency, but could also be that she is just trying to put blame again on somebody else.

Bonus: She wrote about making great new friends, but where are they? She can't mean Kaila, but who else is there? As we know she likes to take a million pictures with her friends doing some dump shit, so why did we never see any of her great new friends?

America doesn't have working holiday visa agreement with Japan. BUT thats why student visa are available to us. We have that agreement with Japan. She could get a job and work 28hrs a week max during semester and 40 hrs max during breaks WITH THE STUDENT VISA!

The thing is YT is a weird grey area because she would not be working for a Japanese company, so she wouldn't have to follow those regulations. She legit could have made a shit ton of videos&money on her own via YT whild attending the language school, with no regular to how many hours she is allow to work since YT is not a Japanese company. Her even applying for an entertainment visa when she signed to study for a year with the study visa LITERALLY makes 0 sense.

The only reason she applied for it was because she FAILED (something she always dancing around in the video) language school. As I have stated numerous times in this thread&speaking from actual experience language schools are accelerated programs and she most likely couldn't keep up. That is NOTHING to be ashamed of. Japanese is very difficult. I went from having a full 30 ppl 101 class to 6 ppl in my 202 class in the states. Its okay to fail&underestimate things. That's hiw we learn. What's not cool is outright lying. Especially when she successfully laid the ground work to prove she's lying for all of 2019.

I'm sorry but I just want to know wtf Kenna is taking a "gap year" from? Taking a gap year from watching Netflix and eating out in America to watch Netflix and eat out in Japan? She basically lives the lifestyle of a retired rich 60 year old already - buying new furniture, going to cafes every day, online shopping, watching TV.

I'm having a really hard time considering Kenna's Instagram and Youtube even a part-time job. She what, posts a 10 minute video every 2-3 weeks? Most of her videos are pretty simplistic, like her talking to a camera or her showing one singular place. I can't imagine it takes more than perhaps 12 hours of filming and 12 hours of editing, and I feel that even that is really generous for her very simplistic content. In reality, it's probably much less. Does Kenna realize most people work 40+ hours a week? You don't really need to take a "gap year" when every single bill of yours is paid for by family and you work maybe like 5-10 hours a week.

I definitely believe Youtube can be a full-time job, but that applies more to Youtubers who produce high-quality videos of different things every single week on a schedule, not someone who craps out a measly video of them making ugly arts and crafts once in a blue moon.

I'm also laughing at the fact that "gap year" implies she's about to start something big this year, since you usually take a gap year before starting college or graduate school. But news flash, absolutely nothing is going to change, except Kenna will be in the USA this time. We can expect the occasional mediocre Disney vlog, half-hearted arts and crafts, Yesstyle lookbooks, and maybe something ever-so-slightly zesty like Kenna eating In-N-Out or Kenna shopping for a gift.

Girl, you ran away for a month to prance around Europe because you were not satisfied with the way your new "home" did Halloween/Autumn, and then came back on the last day of the month and posted this. The only time I ever saw her post about Japan in a positive light was when she first moved there and was still in the honeymoon phase, then she stopped making any Japan posts altogether. People asked her to make JP content but she instead made content on lookbooks and her fake Harry Potter houses. I know she defends herself by claiming that while she is out and enjoying Japan she puts away her camera (blatant lie but anyways), she could at least make a video after the fact and talk about what she did. Come on, what a waste of time. The only thing she is good at is wasting colossal amounts of time and money.

Dear Kenna- If you loved Japan you would have put in a real effort to learn the language. This is why I will never believe you loved it and that it was your home. A year wasted, I am disgusted by your opulence.

Edit: I really love her aggressively passive-aggressive posts she directs at her antis/anyone who is BOLD ENOUGH TO QUESTION her for anything even though she "ignores us, doesn't read our posts, doesn't dwell on anything". Yep she will refuse to admit she is in the category of many Gaijin/Gaikujin that developed a love for Japan not for its rich cultural beauty&history, but due to only visiting Akihabara, Shinjuku, Odaiba&Ikebukuro believing that is the whole Japan in its entirety. She developed the textbook Japanophile view of Japan period.

She did not attend any of the shit ton of festivals Tokyo alone offers. She only visited 3 historical sites and had to edit them to match her asethtic. She only learned how to speak 3 phrase (one of which in her new vid she is saying wrong btw so she actually learned 2). And there is more evidence to prove this yet she refuses to admit. This video was a bad decision.
