Hello everyone, As promised, we're working on some changes to improve the forum and community! So far, here are the recent changes: Negative reputation has been disabled. Upvoting remains intact. This is a trial run to deal with whiteknights brigading certain topics and salty users mass-downvoting users they disagree with. Some text formatting options have been removed. Some users like to format their posts in ways that make them harder to read or downright obnoxious. (Light colors, tiny fonts, etc), so this helps make threads more readable. If you find yourself needing post formatting because you're making a new thread, please contact a mod and we will make it happen. New threads have to be approved anyway, so you're not going to have to start out with an ugly thread. Text formatting remains available to all users who have supported us via Patreon. No more threads on "Online Personalities". We will NOT lock or remove old threads, but we won't approve new threads about people who don't have any history of drama or controversies. Some threads will be moved to the snowflake sections if applicable. Read the new topic guidelines before you make a new thread. Here are our works in progress: New categories will be added. "Little Snowflakes" is too broad of a spectrum, so we're going to sort our flakes into a few sub-sections to keep things organized. We will also make more use of tags for those flakes who transcend categories. This will also allow us to appoint moderators to specific categories or snowflakes. New moderators will be onboarded soon.

Visa runs are much easier to get away with when you look like a solo traveler and aren't a conspicuous white girl with an Asian baby.

I was gonna say...I don't think we disagree with each other that much.

I'll take a look at APink. Thanks for the recommendation!

Maybe I've had my fill for now with girl groups, I loved GG but I haven't been able to get into Twice and I'm not sure why?

"Saudi Arabaia has something similar so idk why you act like S.A. isn't as bad"
Go through my posts and highlight where I have said SA isn't as bad. I have said I don't like SA and that I know it's a country with horrible human rights. Honestly, I don't know 'why' you're arguing on this hill of which terrible country is slightly better (if *I* and my Turkic family were born further East, we would not be part of the majority and wouldn't have those slightly better rights you're talking about). Creating a list and deciding which country offers more table scraps was not my argument. If BTS could perform in China, they would in a heartbeat because $$$ and none of these woke armies would care. In fact, you've proven my point, many would come out to argue that China is slightly better. BTS isn't performing in China because they're focusing on Japan. https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/could-bts-help-smooth-over-china-korea-relations

Again, China has concentration camps, the Gov is separating children from parents, I don't care to hear 'at least it's not as bad as SA'.
I'm not talking basic permission get 'visas to enter the country' permission. If it were that simple, BTS would have performed in China a dozen times by now. Major groups haven't performed in China since 2016.
Finally, the crux of my point wasnt supposed to come off as 'whataboutism' but to say that BTS isn't that woke. If China said go ahead and perform, BH wouldn't say no to more money even from a country with terrible human rights. And armies wouldnt give a shit if they performed in China. They would be too busy blowing up Twitter about sold out shows, impact this, impact that uwu 😍😘 to give a fuck about human rights abuse.

No it hasn't been lifted. BTS and other groups like Twice need permission to perform in China, and they make most of their money touring. If they had permission, they would definitely perform there and make bank. No question.

Don't like Saudi Arabia, but not gonna pretend if it weren't for the kpop ban, BTS and other kpop groups wouldnt be making BANK over in China right now despite all the human rights atrocities over there right now with the concentration camps and genocide.

again, bts fan here but agreed. What I dislike is the tragic porn people post everywhere about how hard they struggled with long practice sessions, self doubt, and family issues and not to discount those struggles, but...every other idol goes through the same struggle?

I'd bet it's more to find the father and make him recognize Luna as his child. I guess so Luna can have Korean citizenship but that still leaves Jasmine sol. Like, just me, wouldn't you only want someone who WANTS to be in your child's life? Child support yeah, but we know it's not child support but a visa is her goal.

IA with both posts. Boys was a mature, cool release, age appropriate. Then IGAB regardless if you liked it or not (I personally LOVE it) was bright, experimental and a demo of what pop songs can be. The girls went from 'oppa saranghae!' to 'Son...you don't understand women.' Mr Mr was a step down but it was at least chic. Then Jessica was kicked out and they lost one of their most stable voices and their music lost some of it's light for me. I liked their following releases (not the title tracks) but it no longer felt like I was listening to the Queens of Kpop.

you mean you dont love the 'Ha ha holiday ha ha holiday hiiiiii' /s
I joined the SNSD fandom after Mr Mr and feel like I missed all the fun because Jessica was kicked out and I did not like Party or Holiday, which was such a WEAK 10th anniversary release.

To add to this post, more natural japanese wouldnt use so many pronouns and they would 'contract' the ~ている to just ~てる and foreigners tend to only know and overuse とても instead of other frequently used casual words like チョウ、すごく、or めっちゃ。

She wasted her money applying for citizenship. Student visas and work holiday are considered non resident visas, as in the time spent on those visas dont toward residency. Had she spent all those years on a spousal Visa, that would be a different story.
