   I honestly couldn't bring myself to finish the latest video, it's a shame Ashley only wears tiny skirts and dresses because I feel like some of the current trends (longer skirts and maxidreses) would actually fit her really well, (also @ her saying bell bottoms are not mainstream.... didn't she saw them all over the place last year??? i swear i can even go into the Zara website and see a lot of them rn, even in bright colors lol) also I hope since she's going out more for her film and for painting for her apartment (again yikes) she can at least get a therapy appointment for a change

   I understand why she does it but to be honest it gets harder and harder to root for her when she just brushes everything off and continues like nothing is wrong and continues to use her coping mechanism to further cement her "relatable" persona and gain more followers and money while completely ignoring all criticism

   I don't wanna trash on her childhood trauma because I don't know her but what ill say (and I've said this before) just putting it out there is a bad coping mechanism, as sfrappe said we don't know her besides the information she has given us, the same for her audience, and just putting it randomly ' my mom made me eat expired yogurt and I felt like I was a bad child growing up and cry a lot about it' it may feel liberating for her but its sad to watch for someone who doesn't even know her? like ok, I have acquired that knowledge now... what do i do with it? do you want me to feel sorry for you? I don't know her mother, I don't know her life, the most her audience can do is leave encouraging comments but that only helps her for a bit and then we go back to square one.
   About her sexuality, she seems confused and terrified and that's completely fine, (also im not bisexual and my experience as a lesbian was quite different so whatever) what I would say is that she can totally be non-straight while not wanting to be involved in the LGBTQ+ community but her comment about how not being straight its super chill its completely misguided and i do worry she will speak in behalf of the community (specially when she's very privileged)

   Most relevant thing in her video it's that she came out as bi? kinda?
   she talks about her mental health and being angry at moving to NY just right before the pandemic and missing going out (even tho she never really did much of that before this whole ordeal lol) also jokes about her childhood trauma, she also kinda looks like she's going to cry at any moment, she also glossed on a question about sustainability and fashion with the same stuff she always mentions (sustainability being a privilege thing and how some people think you need to be a 100% sustainable or not at all and it just felt like her low-key justifying herself and the amazon video

   I know this will sound harsh but every time Ashley talks about being an artsy girl (going to film school and being so into art in high shool etcetc) she strikes me as the type of person who likes the idea of being artsy more than the art itself, as you said I don't even watch that many films and I was surprised she has never heard of "what we do in the shadows" I never commented on her art skills because she was doing it just for fun but the fact that in one of her videos she was like "I considered going to art school u w u" when her skills are like that...
   Also, I'm right there with you, she also said she sounded 'pretentious' while talking about the Marc Jacobs FW show, but this is coming from Ashley "i thought everything was fine and dandy after the civil war" so honestly, I think she's just not the brightest or very empathetic if she can't relate it back to her

   Anyways, do you guys think she'll continue posting about BLM now that the coverage it's getting a little slower? or she will call it a day and pretend it didn't happen? lol

   "No wonder why she's depressed," something tells me maybe she would be in a better place mentally if she went to therapy, set better boundaries with their audiences, stopped the unhealthy coping mechanism, worked in her social skills and had a better support system and stoped curating her image on the extreme but yeah sure this forum is the root of Ashley mental health issues

    It's truly weird considering the last thanksgiving I think..? she was sharing how she went to her mother therapist and she told her she had some issues but as always just made of it the butt of the joke and here we are
    Also, this girl scripted, recorded, and edited all her oversharing and thought "oh yeah this is hilarious and a good idea" girl get a grip and go to therapy, the internet is not the place to vent your childhood trauma.
    (sidenote but I've seen her fans defending her with "well she's clearly self-aware of her flaws" but somehow I think being aware of them and doing nothing about it its quite.. worse?)

    I feel like her fans not only project on her but are probably not kin on admitting their own privilege either lol.
    Everyone is complicit in capitalism because we live in it, we need money to buy food, clothes and to live in a home. so we go to school to get a job to do all that, but that doesn't mean we are going out of or way to promote amazon, the company that has an owner with a prospect of being the first TRILLIONAIRE, that exploits their workers to the point they die of exhaustion and have their decency stripped to the point of peeing in bottles. Ashley goes around joking about capitalism being bad but yet promotes and takes paychecks for this brand by her own CHOICE, it's not like she was struggling to pay her rent, she just saw the opportunity and ran with it lol
    People need to understand that wanting someone to be held accountable is not the same as wanting to police her whole channel and life lol, she has done quite shady things and at the end, her career is built-in trust and consumption if she's not honest about what she promotes, she will eventually start to lose her following. I know people like to baby influencers and say that they should be complacent to their audience but i think is only true at a certain extent, the audience is there for the image you are selling, (a rag to riches feminist, that is relatable because she's also insecure but smart and if she had a glow up maybe so can her audience #girlboss) her image is incredibly curated at the moment (deleting comments and all criticism) but she wanted the woke image without the dedication and self-reflection that comes from it.
    Also about her feminist issues, I honestly think this is the most harmless criticism she has talked about being a #notlikeothergirls before, if she's working on her views and looking to improve her relationship and feelings towards other women, being pointed out on where you have a slip or say something out of the line that contributes to a misogynistic mindset should not be that hard on your own ego lol

    I really don't get why people praise perfectionism in general because more often than not its such an unhealthy mindset to have lol one thing is to work really hard on something but being a perfectionist often means you obsess over the image of the thing you wanted to do and get frustrated if it doesn't come 100% the way you envisioned it, especially on a job that requires constant deadlines, how many takes does she make of each video?? how much footage is that? after she's done shooting how much time does she spend trying to choose the best take? Ashley has real bad time management, and even if she truly works until 3 am solely on her video (which i kinda doubt) it's probably because she doesn't work smart
    the tanacon joke was such a tiny detail and wasn't even that funny, so why put all that effort in something like that, why reshoot 3 times something that you could do a voiceover of, etcetc.

    The comment section of her last video is also very concerning people are babying her because "if she sees the comments she would feel pressured and anxious that she can put a happy face guys :((((" honestly, this girl just outed her family troubles to 2 million people she needs intervention, you can tell me there is no therapist in NYC doing phone counseling or something, JUST GO TO THERAPY ASHLEY AND STOP
    self-depreciation is so 2017, hell people even got tired of it when sh*ne d*wson did it, so why is Ashley (who is using it as a very unhealthy coping mechanism that also perpetuates the idea that self-deprecation is oh so hahaha funny and quirky to her audience) get a pass?
