We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
She goes to fashion school and still dresses like some weeb/koreaboo lmao Pleated skirts were popular in Japan and Korea the 2000s-early 2010s I'm pretty sure few Japanese girls wear them casually nowdays unless it's an actual harajuku coord.
I hope she is talking about trade school like Mikan or otherwise it's going to be really hard. Japanese high school is pretty tough and even the amount of competition among local students for entrance exams is super intense. I don't know if she would have to take the entrance exam to get into Uni but as a foreign drop out she'd have no chance and would probably end up at one of those shitty useless schools that just collect money from kids with rich parents..
I don't know if I'm reading too much into this but Max seems much more assertive than people like Venus or Hirokazu. I feel like she tends to hang around people who are more introverted and not likely to stand up for themselves so she has all the attention and can ''joke'' around them without being called out. It wouldn't surprise me if they had a failing out caus I don't think Max would take the all the shit she says.
If Tsuruko recorded her and said something like: ''this is Mikan, she flew to Japan right out of high school to chase her weeb dreams with no higher education and no long term plans just because she had some savings for language school'' I bet Mikan would have lost her shit lol
How is that related to taxes and the government lmao if anything she will just be taking money from naive teenage girls who are most likely wasting their allowance or their paycheck from part time jobs in exchange for some shout outs or skype sessions. She isn't poor she has an actual job that pays for her living expenses so she can't apply to have ''free money'' from the government. Come back when you have licked enough boots for the day.
Also a common thing that is often overlooked with freelance artists is that they often don't have a stable flux of commissioners, so in addition to a living wage they also need to account for the times where they don't have any work, and all of them need time to communicate with commissioners, look up references, fix mistakes, etc, time which is often overlooked. If you want a commission for cheap either find another artist or learn to do it yourself.
it's weird how she says she tried to get into lolita fashion when she was 16 but didn't caus of the community. Now it's more understandable since she got a promotion but there's no way she could save for Japan+ pay rent to her mom+ pay for nose surgery and at the same time afford lolita fashion with just a minimum job while being a student. Even if she bought secondhand or from indie brands that's just not realistic, she definitely got money from some outside sources
I thought her fashion sense improved since her outfits were less clashing than before and then I got to the one with the black sweater and i was like NOPE. She goes to bunka and can barely put out a coherent harajuku inspired look, just because harajuku fashion is over the top doesn't mean you can put anything together and expect it to look good
For someone whose entire career basically rests on her insta (caus let's face it homegirl isn't gonna make it in fashion otherwise unless she makes a dramatic improvement) she really lacks professionalism. Like why would you make a long ass rant on the same instagram you use for sponsorships when you could just make a personal account, almost reminds me of gothfruit.
What she's doing is closer to enjo kosai than actual tutoring lol, there's a reason the grand majority of her clients are old men, I mean who else would pay 5000 yen an hour to someone who has barely any prior experience and has never been in higher education when there are better tutors there who charge cheaper.
