Venus, darling: LINE camera and YouCam are very nice apps and we are happy to see how "unhangovered" you look, but please stop messing with your bone structure? You don't have jAPanEse high cheek bones.

It really is ridiculous, especially considering that all videos of Venus, even the super brightened ones, clearly show that she has low cheekbones (which is why she always had such prominent nasolabial folds - it's her bone structure). The face liquifying is crazy in this pic. Her chin and mouth area is also very weird, and the eyes are just creepy.

or Native high cheek bones, (Native Americans have high cheek bones as well)

Or Slavic high cheekbones - it's the best known common facial feature of the Slavic people.

But the point with Venus is that she has tried to emulate the Japanese look for ages, so it's clear that her photoshop is not aimed to look Native American or Slavic, or any other non-Japanese ethnicity.

Anyone can have high cheekbones whether they Japanese, English or Iranian. It isn't region limited lol.

Venus may have a round and wider face but I think her cheekbones are as low as they can get. Isn't high cheekbones more of a thing in angular faces like square shaped faces? Square jaws plus high cheekbones often go hand in hand

I find Venus very pretty and all of this photo shop shows her low self esteem and self hate, which is common long term effect after being raised by a disordered helicopter parent who was always nit picking flaws or even imagining them. Add to that the fact that she didn't have real life friends and only interacted with online people for years and years (and we know how horrible people can be online, writing body shaming and abusive comments). I am not a mental health professional, but she exhibits alarming signs of body dysmorphia. The binge drinking and lack of self care makes things worse too. She doesnt feel good about her looks, she drinks to cope, wakes up looking worse, drinks more etc. It's a vicious circle. It's sad that she stopped mentioning therapy, probably doesn't go bc she cannot afford it anymore.

I once saw a meme saying "I eat because I am sad and I am sad because I am fat and I am fat because I eat". That sums it up for her life unfortunately.

There's also this video that came out just earlier this year which features two Japanese people reacting to two videos of Venus (it's the "Weird Japanese Snacks" and the "Antique Doll Make-up Tutorial" ones which they reacted to). What I've noticed is that unlike Manaki (Manaki during the days when he was still a mere fanboy of Venus, that is), these men aren't reacting to her videos in an ultra fanatical way - in fact, their reaction to her videos is a respectable one.

I liked the way she looked when she was in Netherlands (if I remember it correctly). Her hair color was cute, she dressed like a normal teenager and wasn't trying so hard to look like an Asian child.

Does every westerner who hapened to live in Asia, end up to try to look like its people in order to fit ?

as someone living in Korea, no, only the crazy special ones do

it looks like an exclusive video from a channel and was illegally re-uploaded on youtube BUT the uploader made a cheap edit in order to avoid copyright turndown

The filters were awful I couldn’t even watch the video. Her content lately is so horrible I really miss her old videos. Also did anyone else think she looked very shaky the whole time?

Agree with previous commenters that the colors in that video are a bit much.

People have said that she looks more mature these days, but she still has the mannerisms of a four-year old (hand-flapping, puffing her cheeks out...) and imho, it makes her look a bit silly compared to the girls she’s collaborating with recently. That kind of thing was “kawaii” or “moe” ten years ago maybe, but...
