    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.

it’s just annoying seeing the same argument from the same people with the same defensive comments and same examples proving their point every time i open this thread lol

You say this as if you don’t insert your own defensive comments into the situation every time you come into this thread

i remember Kai showing a sasaeng on his ig live i think , that was hilarious

im personally tired of them coming out of the woodworks to defend their favs like, you deadass can't vent even on a thread made specifically for that.

lolcow thread got closed cause they somehow spread there as well, rip

i actually miss that thread, lolcow is tragic but at least people used to translate shit and provide info, but now we can't even have that because stan twitter decided to contaminate that with their ships and whatnot.

them and blonks really need to find something else to do.

unpopular opinion i wanna share from another thread tho, it's more fan related than kpop i guess, but i couldn't agree more and i feel this might be an appropriate thread for it as well?

the kpop thread went to shit the minute they merged the kpop critical and general threads tbh, it was fucking dumb of the farmhands to think that the people whose brains are being eaten by kpop worms and the people who think kpop and idol culture is shit would get along lmao

aren’t you guys bored of having the exact same argument about bts and their fanbase every week?

Arent you tired of being so bothered about it that that you have to make useless comments like this?

you can’t vent about any other group on here without their fans coming to defend them either tho that’s just stan culture and that’s fine it’s life. i admit some fans (not just bts and black pink fans) are more annoying than others but like come on. fan wars are such a waste of time and energy i don’t get why people engage when it’s pointless trying to change someone’s opinion on their fav(s)

it’s just annoying seeing the same argument from the same people with the same defensive comments and same examples proving their point every time i open this thread lol

1) yes you can? i've stated multiple stuff against ateez (tho i do still like them) and no one came to drag me, for example...same for itzy and idk who else tbh.

2) it's literally new accounts this time around, like, it says under the name of the acc idgi??

I saw this post yesterday and I wish I could have upvoted it more. I think this is completely true. Fans tend to take attacks on their group personally, what else can explain the lengths they go to to “protect” their favs.

they have some kind of weird superiority complex but also a victim complex too in some cases and I didn’t even know they could exist together.

i didn't wanna go too OT in the BP thread, but i really wanted to continue that discussion somewhere i guess so i posted it here lol

it really feels like, like that person said, that they are bullied/nobodies in the real world, so they have this weird power trip/fantasy online where they do what they can't in person. it would be kind of sad if they weren't such bitches. the worst is when you see actual adults doing that. i can still kind of understand teenagers, teens are dumb and they will likely learn at some points but adults? that's just tragic.

i have in the past but i try not to anymore bc it’s pointless and not worth my time it’s just going around in circles and beating a dead horse

i like who i like for my own reasons and that’s fine you like who you like for your own reasons and that’s fine. end of. i’m not going to try to change your views on a group and you shouldn’t try to change my views on a group esp about something like kpop. i know my group(s) aren’t perfect but neither are yours which is fine. just enjoy them and have fun.

i somehow missed this but, EXACTLY? i don't know what they expected would happen. it has been kinda shit even before that but this really put the final nail into the coffin imo lmao. i also kind of miss the delulu anons claiming they have insider info without any legit proof thought, that was kind of funny to read.

spoiler cause kind of OT honestly

Kinda off-topic from what everyone else is talking about, lol

Ha:tfelt's 1719 is criminally underrated and imho one of the best albums this year.

okay it's been a while

- yooa's lip might be wonky but damn girl is pretty and her dancing is really good

- i absolutely despise ot12 crybabies. How can you ignore ex3, their hard work and their achievements, but the moment they breath the same air yall go "intimidating dragon, crying panda's and cute deer" like no get the fuck out

- that said I'm really happy tao and luhan are on the same show,,, they're dorks together I love them.

- and no i don't want to come off as delusional but there has been this rumor that keeps on returning: yifan replacing show luo (due to his scandal) on the same show luhan and tao are on. I mean rumors of this kind come up like every month but they disappear just as fast,, this one just keeps coming back and coming back

- I can't believe show luo cheated on his girlfriend for nine years. trash.

- riding by nct dream was rushed noise

- lisa is not and will never be the best dancer in kpop until she does different genres of dance. ik it’s not completely her fault that she mostly does sexy hip hop but doing only one genre of dance doesn’t qualify you as the best dancer in the whole industry

- haechan’s part in kick it is the only good part

- idols need to stop being so micromanaged, the drama is one of the most interesting parts of kpop for me

- hopefully this isnt an unpopular opinion, but how are people still mad at chen. he has a whole baby girl and is married how can you get mad at him for living his life and being happy??? and it’s grown ass 20-30 year olds who are mad at him mostly too. most underaged exols are happy for him which shocked me... how are you 25 and thinking chen will marry you?

i guess this would be really unpopular but i think most people going into the idol industry are there for fame/attention.

the whole money aspect is available in other industries, with way less uncertainty...i mean, there's probably an equal chance of "making a living" as an indie artist vs selling your soul to a small unknown company. so it just seems to me that most of them are just thirsty for attention

(would explain the abundance of rich idols in the industry, especially lately. they get to play around and if it fails, nbd, they can just go on their marry way)

I think a few years ago I would’ve disagreed, but this gen especially is full of rich kids with subpar skills that have loaded parents.  Previous generations obviously had the problem too, but the risk was so much greater since some of them were actually rly poor.

oh yeah, it kinda feels like it's gotten worse over recent years because you have sooo many new smaller companies which kinda feel like scams at best? i don't know like, there's way better ways to get by than locking yourself in a basically slave contract that takes years and years to pay off just...literally WHY would you do that. I get obviously some people probably don't have a choice but overall it just feels to me that most people could have done other shit instead of that unless they really wanted to be rich and famous. mostly famous... maybe i'm wrong but i've read on other forums and stuff that korean parents are generally against entertainment industry and would rather their kids have a secure desk job or something? someone correct me on this please, i might be talking completely out of my ass for all i know and if that's the case i'm sorry lol

in regards to how people act online (i.e. stan twt); i feel with the way social media has been evolving throughout the years, there's a lot more people now that acts in way they probably never would in real life bc they can hide behind anonymity (amongst other things) and there's no "real" or clear consequences to the things they say and do on the internet and so they (think they) can get away with a lot. the lack of accountability on social media can make the experience really tiring
