    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.

kind of hate the girl crush personality like hani oppa, ryujin oppa, etc. i have irl friends who are actually like that and i love them to death but i find it weird when it's very obviously made into a concept

Speaking of the Big 3, I sure hope someday there is a major K-pop company led by a woman (is there one already? Kind of doubt it.) I would like to hope a woman leading idols would be a little more concerned for their wellbeing, and a little less likely to force them into tiny booty shorts with no safety but... what do I know.

But tbh Korea doesn't seem ready for that yet. As far as I can tell, from my western perspective, Korea is incredibly sexist for a developed country.

loona's company ceo is a woman, but i do agree,Most major kpop companies run by men who couldn't care less about female idols' safety

What jaejoong did was basically the equivalent of those "prank channels" harassing people and doing borderline illegal shit then saying "just a prank bro" when they piss people off. He's too old to be that damn brainless smh.

i read some defense on him on reddit but basically all they're saying is in SK anything goes when someone makes a prank or joke on april fool's and somehow i refuse to believe it.

I mean people have died from covid... so i don't get it if the situation really is "anything goes"

Can armys stop painting BTS as this woke group that's not like other groups. BTS are about as woke as companies that set their logos to rainbows on social media during pride.

While SMTM is cringy and rigged you can find good artists on it and also it's just fun to watch sometimes when you do not want to concentrate on anything too deep.

I hate how armys speak about BTS not being manufactured unlike other groups because they produce and write their own songs but like in reality a lot of groups produce and write their own music. BTS is still as manufactured as the rest of KPOP. Plus correct me if I'm wrong but BTS doesn't actually do that much production compared to other groups.

Khh would be much better and much more popular if the artists stopped the culture appropriation.

Nah their rapline used to be heavily involved in the production process back when the team was small. There's a lot of footage of them working on music behind the scenes and two of them used to make their music when they were underground. Now Bighit keeps bringing in a bunch of mediocre foreign producers for their albums and their music quality fell hard, one of them even complained on vlive that his demos keep getting rejected in favour of outsourced work.

So THAT'S why i feel there's a major difference with their old songs and the new ones, and not a good one

They used to be special now they feel like american pop with korean lyrics

yea and their demos actually sound better than the ones produced by foreign producers too. I watched his vlive where he played some old demos and honestly their music would slap like 2015-2016 era if they had kept those. The new music now sound just like mainstream american pop.
Bighit think success = validation/influence from the West and im kinda tired of that already. They will still be just fine if they keep the same direction they were going during 2015-2016.

These CEOs really have a talent for getting rid of things that made them popular in the first place. I remember that people would always praise them for being one of the few who often write and produce their own songs and that this was one of their main strenghts, but BH just got too greedy over the years.

It's kinda ironic how most of their earlier songs used to be about more serious topics but now, that they can reach a wider audience and have become ambassadors for multiple campaigns that could help shed light on these things, their music seems to have lost authenticity and they seem to be less involved in the creative process (except for those songs where Suga and RM took part in producing them).I also dislike the fact, that they're relying so heavily on foreign producers now because they're literally always late to every western music trend.

Damn I didn't know about that vlive. I hope they ditch the foreign songwriters and producers, this new album didn't do well with critics and the general public/casual listeners but they got the highest sales so I don't know if they'll do it

Who's member is it? I am pretty sure it's Suga (Well, he doesn't do any fan service, but he is the most honest one among them, feelings wise).

it's RM. He always comes to vlive after an album release to talk about it (and playing demos too). I personally really like Fake Love demo, but too bad it got rejected
