    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.
    • Reputation Has Increased!   07/06/20

Hello. You have been asking for it and it is finally here. We have increased the number of reputation given in a day from 25 to 50. We will see how well 50 works out and if that is enough. Please continue to provide feedback and we will reevaluate as needed. This change has been added to the site changes thread located here. Happy repping. Thank you.

kpop Unpopular Opinions (K-POP Edition)

The concept of *insert any group that's popular enough in their time* paved the way is stupid. The reason why k-pop became well-known worldwide is because there's an effort by everyone in the industry to dish out good music (the good im talking about here is an subjective term so it depends on the listener) that made it to the ears of everyone over the decades. I understand that one group do get more fame and popularity than the others, but to solely credit them as the "MESSIAH OF K-POP" is straight up ridiculous! For comparison, you never heard the terms "Oh, naruto/dragonball/inuyasha paved the way!" from anime fans. k-pop stans who do this kind of things AND EVEN BOTHERED TO PUT CHARTS AND STUFFS are just self-centered lol, go and create new pop genre with your oppas / unnies or something.

they have a 14-year age gap... kind of unusual, not gonna lie, but I have seen worse.

anyway, doesn't really matter now since it has already been denied.

omg thank god the Momo and heechul dating news is fake.  With Heechul being a rumored otaku pushing 40 and Momo being a 22 year old , that would’ve meant that they dated when she was 20 and we wouldn’t even know how long they were talking for , it would’ve been so skeevy.  Even creepier considering he’s known for being friends with a lot of female idols and even “protecting” them

Yall really think it's so bad for a 22 year old woman to be with a 35 year old male.. Last time I checked 18 was legal age limit.

yes, especially if:

1. said male has known since she was barely 18, and made it pretty clear that he liked hwr back then

2. she is a foreigner working in a misogynistic country and if something went wrong it would destroy her career while his would be completely unaffected

being over 18 doesnt mean that predatory behavior by older men suddenly doesnt affect you anymore.

Is it just me or are Seventeen members looking really uncanny valley lately? I haven't followed closely since Clap, but almost all of them look super weird to me in the new MV (and the song sucks).

They were at a festival I was at in May and they looked a little strange there too. Might be the hyper paleness.

Kpop stans on Twitter be annoying af. When a non-kpop related hashtag is trending they’re ALWAYS filling up the posts with stupid fancams. Like damn, I wanna see what’s trending and what happened. Like it’s actually so annoying af. And they don’t realise that it’s not a good way to promote their faves, because people are so annoyed that they DON’T want to look at their shitty fancams.

damn like the immaturity is showing. This is not the first time I’ve seen it happen. And when locals call them out on it, they act all innocent and sassy like what they’re doing is completely fine. Nah, y’all just stupid and aggravating af and wonder why everyone hates the kpop fandom. Because you do shit like that.

this if it wasn't for this previous behavior, him dating much younger girls wouldn't be such an issue for me. heechul may be funny but he also comes across as very creepy

Korean society is extremely strict with their relationships between younger and older people (age politics), especially in professions. People who have been in the industry of something for long and are older than another person have so much power over that other person, especially if it’s the male who’s older and the female who’s younger. It might not seem like alot to you but as that age gap gets wider, that older person would have more and more power over the younger, it’s just how the society is. That’s why people get mad when members like Yeri clown her older members when she’s the youngest due to the fact of society that she’s supposed to obey what they say and respect them at all times. There should be no joking around, especially with Irene.

I don't know if I remember it right, but hasn't Heechul (and other SuJu members) said that Heechul likes older girls (because he can act more spoilt with them)? I don't think he ever saw Momo as something more and I don't think he is a creep, because an agency (I think Pledis) and their group Pristin told everyone on a show that Heechul is one of the guys in Kpop, who the company listed as a safe person, who the girls don't have to worry about and can trust in. I get that his jokes and his image etc. may seem as creepy to some people, but he is really well liked by girls and from what I heard he respects females a lot (and I am not even his fan. I heard it through girl groups XD)

Edit: wrote Pledis wrong lol
