    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.

Just found this unedited picture vs edited picture on Reddit.

I don't know whether to praise his confidence by going out like this or to feel embarrassed for him.. either way, probably wasn't the best
clothing choice that day. Considering his little issue there.

Edit: I'm not sure when this was taken so I do apologize if it has been posted before.

Huh? I'm confused.. Is that hair or dark spots around his crotch?

Recently he got flack for adopting a dog.

More info:

Personally, I don't think he deserves this hate for just adopting a dog.

yeah this is one of the few times im slightly with james on this, mainly because the backlash is out of pure speculation and it's gotten to the point where if James breathes, he's "cancelled." ngl he's been done dirty in this whole situation and people are looking at him relaunching his palette first as his fault/his attempt at taking spotlight from Jeffree/Shane - as if Morphe didn't set him up for failure.

Maybe not the amount of backlash he's received, but I also get peoples' issues. Him calling it adopting is probably disingenuous if we're being honest. Afterall, he likely just bought the puppy from a backyard breeder. Which isn't adopting. I think he would have gotten less backlash if he was honest.

This is kinda dumb. I strongly dislike James. But the real issue with James is that he’s a predatory fuck. Not how or why he got a dog.

I don't like him but really now?

we don't know if he actually adopted or bought his dog from some shady breeder, let's not be negative all the time. He said he got the puppy from a family friend so I'll trust him

I thought "adopting" was the word you used for getting a dog regardless of where you got it from?
Like saying something like "I bought a dog" is more stiff and unloving like "I've acquired this object", while adopting is more like "we got a new family member" ?

(As a side note I'm praying this post makes it to the next page so I don't have to see that crusty crotch on top of the page anymore)

^ I dont think so, and it sounds kinda disingenuous when you say you've adopted a dog when you went and bought it from a breeder

I'm not a native speaker of English, could you explain the difference?
Don't you both buy (assuming it wasn't a free gift) and adopt a dog at the same time anyway? (sorry for derailing the thread...:alpacaworry:)

Adopting a dog generally means going through an animal rescue and getting one that has been previously given up. It's also called rescuing and is really popular because there is a huge population of unwanted dogs and shelters are constantly overfilled.

Buying a dog could mean buying it from a pet store (bound to be low-quality and have health problems, very irresponsible) or possibly from a breeder which could be just as low quality, but if you do your research, you might find a breeder who is registered and screens for health issues and you sign a contract that if you give up the dog, the breeder gets first dibs so they can rehome the dog themselves.

I would never say that I adopted my purebred poodle. Because I didn't. I bought her from a breeder. I do say I adopted my lab mix, because she came from a shelter. It's hard to explain the difference, but adopting is going through rescue and adopting an unwanted dog. Buying is...buying from a breeder (reputable or otherwise)
