In regards of the whole lawyer thing, I'll say my piece because I actually do work in the legal field.

DISCLAIMER: I am not inclined to give legal advice as I am not allowed to due to my position as a paralegal (only lawyers have that privilege). So, please don't consider this post as such. This opinion is coming from my personal experience in the field as well as being taught in school.

As a paralegal, I can confirm that both paralegals and lawyers aren't supposed to do something like announcing prospects of a legal battle in public, be it IRL or in social media. It is unprofessional, a breach of ethics, and has consequences due to classified information being there for all to see and it renders attorney-client privilege as null and void.

Granted, court cases do end up becoming public record BUT that's only AFTER the cases have been settled in court.

This will also complicate the case later when it escalates to court and it will be difficult for Vic's side as a result. (Essentially, shooting themselves in the foot.)

Pretty sure if this guy is an actual lawyer, he can get slammed for malpractice AND get disbarred. And if he turns out not to be one, I'm sure that's grounds for fraud.

Also, yes, I would like to chime in that many law firms--including attorneys who are in solo practice--do have online presences. But no way in the Nine Hells would any legitimate, professional law firm instigate their opponents into a fight like this.

So much this. I have an uncle who is a judge and I know from him that this is true. I have no idea what is wrong with this lawyer but he and Vic can go be a happy couple in the hell cesspool they've created.

I actually can't wait for them to go to court. The lawyer will get in trouble just as much as Vic. It will be justice served.

Thank you for confirming my hunch as I knew that much from a friend of mine in the same field but did not want to bother her with a weird question to confirm it :)

Unrelated to the GFM, MSN decided this morning I HAD to see this post on Know your meme :/ Fair warning, lousy artististry and 12-year-old-on-Fortnite  insults linked below.

https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/1466651-vic-mignogna-sexual-harassment-allegations

First of all, it's villifying Marzgurl for everything as though she is the reason all the victims stepped forward. Second, almost all the criticisms against her are based on superficial reasons and implying being a virgin is an insult (even insulting her husband, because who needs to be mature). Third, super classy comment about med school... which only told me that holy shit I didn't know she went to med school and that's pretty fucking impressive! Fourth, how would they know about her spending habits?

And that's just a criticism of HALF the meme; the Vic half was still critical, but a few were backhanded compliments.

So basically, one can infer from this meme that a typical Vic Stan is likely a male with a mindset that women only have value based on their looks and sexual activity (which is hilarious because they use virgin as an insult, but would likely also be quick to call her a slut. Guys, the 1950s called and want their bigotry back).

Tl;Dr Marzgurl is a boss who went to medical school(!) and Vic stans continue to prove that they are the classiest, open-minded individuals this side of women's suffrage. :/

Did some snooping around on Twitter and can confirm that Rekieta (the GoFundMe lawyer) is an actual lawyer. Someone had accused him as a fake, so he had to post up his credentials as proof.

...But his recent behavior is still unprofessional (as you can see in the other screenshots), so he's still digging his own grave. If he keeps at it, he'll get slapped with sanctions (for attorney malpractice, lack of professional discipline, breach of ethics, and--possibly, depending if he went underhanded to assist Vic, as the GoFundMe page is questionable--assisting the client to commit criminal acts) as well as get disbarred.

Honestly, can't someone report him to the law firm he associates with to get him to stop? I know he's trying to "help out" Vic, but fucking hell inserting himself into someone else's cases and harassing those involved isn't helping anyone.

Not if the law firm is actually named after him. That alone gives away that he's a solo practice attorney (unless he's working with another lawyer in the firm, but it is ultimately his own business).

At this point, might as well get the ABA (American Bar Association) involved and probably his local lawyer association too.

You guys are aware that Nick Rekieta is not Vic's lawyer?

I honestly don't know what you all are seeing in this.  Lawyers are allowed to curse, give snide remarks, and speak their minds.  The worst thing you could pull out of all of those tweets is that he wasn't very nice?  Or ig being passive aggressive online isn't allowed anymore?  Everyone holding a job didn't sign up to guard Buckingham Palace and they aren't compelled to sit there while people poke and prod them.

I have a question. Does this confirm my second theory i had about him? That he took the bar, pass but never defended anybody in a court but is acting like he did?

No, he's often talked about previous cases on his shows. If you could be bothered, you could actually look many of them up. As far as I'm aware, he hasn't actually had a loss in court before. The "No public decisions on record" is not in reference to his cases, it's in reference to disciplinary actions, meaning he has never had sanctions or anything brought against him, he has a totally clean record.
