    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.
    • Reputation Has Increased!   07/06/20

Hello. You have been asking for it and it is finally here. We have increased the number of reputation given in a day from 25 to 50. We will see how well 50 works out and if that is enough. Please continue to provide feedback and we will reevaluate as needed. This change has been added to the site changes thread located here. Happy repping. Thank you.

I'm not familiar with Korean culture so I can't tell, what's wrong with them? I just thought they seemed oversimplified.

I really think she should put a little effort into not making it so obvious that her recent slew of Korean food videos are to ride the wave and squeeze as many views as she can. I enjoy watching the videos but the blatantness is a little off-putting.

Exactly, they are oversimplified and unauthentic. She's better at cooking other cuisines so why not share with us those recipes instead of insisting on making Korean recipes that she's unfamiliar with. Tbh she's not a good cook anyway. She should leave the cooking videos to Ben.

She also makes Emily's recipes but for some reason never makes them properly. Not even a salad??

Bit OT but: Emily steals recipes and passes them as her own lol. Her IG recipe vs. original source. Identical.

guess she thought if she changes a few ingredients it makes it healthy/original. I'm more bothered by the fact that she describes them as healthy. they're not. sugar is not good for your health.

is it just me or was jenn channeling bestdressed/ashley? i was a little thrown off because i've consistently watched jenn's videos since her thrifting days and i've never seen her put her eyeliner in the corner of her eyelids like ashley has been doing recently. also her top and ribbon in hair is that ~picnic bitch~ aesthetic ashley goes for. not criticizing or anything (jenn can do whatever she wants), but i just wasn't sure

Just because something is a trend doesn't mean you should hop onto it, Jenn! Ugh I cringe so hard because this eyeliner does her eye shape zero justice

actually, i want to correct myself because i realized that she did do it once before for her revolve awards. i remember thinking it didn't fit her eye shape very well

but yeah, I agree! like, i think it kind of worked for jenn's revolve awards because she had a sleek ponytail and was attempting to do a "kitten-esque" look, but it doesn't really work with her newest picnic episode.

i'm just not too big of a fan with this supermodel eyeliner trend (i think that's what it's called) - i think it works with people with 'sharper' and smaller features, not softer and rounder features like jenn and ashley

difference is that while it might not be a good fit for her eye shape etc., she is decent at makeup. ashley is really bad at it. nothing wrong with trying stuff out, i just hope she doesn't adopt it like ashley has lol.

I came across her on YouTube and watched some vids, was unsurprised to find a thread about her here. She has... no personality. Like her personality is whatever is popular at the current moment. How she has 2M+ subscribers is beyond me.

Yeah, she is like an archetype of a white washed Asian-American who grew up in California.  She is so dull.

jenn and every single member of her squad are DEAFENINGLY quiet during this time of racial, political, and socioeconomic turmoil

i know we cant expect much from a girl who doesnt even vote, but as a fellow asian american, it's so disappointing to see

these girls just put makeup and clothes on to take pictures and videos, and are conveniently oblivious to struggles that are not their own

she's one of those people that got lucky because they joined Youtube in its early days.

To be fair, Ashley is also an unoriginal trendhopper.

Did anyone watch her new video? She's still keeping up with the korean classes.

i was shocked at the level of her korean based on what i could see from her homework. i remember her saying before she thinks she's around the leve of a a 1st grader or something but she most definitely is not... she can't even communicate with her mom and her mom doesn't even understand her videos without korean subs lol.

so I'm literally months late to this subject but i went though the dates on her videos to find her homework and holy shit that homework is legit "welcome to your first ever Korean class" level homework. I knew her Korean was bad bit I didn't think it was that bad..?

it’s definitely worse than what you think

https://youtu.be/OWNaUwJwLLI

5:30. I overestimated her korea skills until I saw this lol. Somehow  the little clips of her speaking korean with her family in vlogs are very misleading

She also doesn’t know to use 혼자서 properly. She used it to say the kimchi tastes good by itself . honjasuh is used with people/living things. I only knew what she meant because of the English subs in the vlog. The literal meaning of what she said is the kimchi tastes good even if I’m eating it when I’m alone and by self

I’ve also seen her parents ignore her in vlogs when she speaks English at them lol since they don’t understand her
