I've always loved makeup, I used to collect makeup when I was a kid (kids makeup!) and I still collect makeup but the difference is that I also wear it (and it's not kids makeup). I try to go light on the foundation while going heavy on the eyes and lips. I would like to branch out for some extreme looks but for now I just do a graphic liner and a dark lip as an everyday look.

I only wear clear mascara now since it's just so much easier to remove and I don't like my lashes covering up my work.

Highlight is a must because I like the shine and it doesn't make me look dead.

Brows are just slightly filled in but sometimes I straight up just forget it, same for the mascara.

Blush is not really used also because of my red cheeks, I put a little foundation on it and it's like a glow from within!

I also don't even put foundation on my nose because it gets a bit too oily on there and I wear glasses (bad combo).

For an ever day daytime look I prefer something very natural, so I usually brush my eyebrows, add some mascara, conceal spots, rose tinted lip balm on my lips and as blush and that's it. I love a more dewy, cute and simple look.

For night time I prefer something a little more bold and I like to focus on either my lips or my eyes (natural lip/bold eye or bright lip/minimal eye makeup).

I also like a classical red lip and winged eyeliner because I feel like that virtually always looks good.

I love that look as well!! "No make up" look is the best look :alpacacrush: And I think the dewy look is way better than the matte look.

I used to be obsessed with Japanese fashion and makeup and I looooooved gyaru (no not ganguro or manba) and wore it for so long (Egg was my bible):

Then I went over to liking more toned down Japanese make-up style as I grew older, so magazines like Jelly, CanCan, and Cutie had nice "natural" makeup tutorials:

After this I started getting more into Korean styled makeup, and because things were all about being "natural" but enhancing your good features I liked it a lot. So now my makeup goes between a mix of Japanese and Korean. Living in Europe, we're all about being natural and there's definitely more focus on nice skin and less makeup around the eyes. I don't do the gradient lip thing harshly but I do think it can be pretty, done with the right colours and the right technique:) I look for Pony for inspiration as she's always on top with the new trends and her reviews are pretty good. I also follow some other Korean beauty gurus for Inso. But my current obsessed style is:

It's pretty and feminine yet you can tweak it however you want. However I prefer more pinkish and coral colours however on my face since I'm pretty pale.

I was beginning to think I was the only one in this thread who liked a more grungy makeup style than everyone's more natural preferences xD This is gorgeous and she's gorgeous!

I love red, burgundy and mauve eyeshadows, they look gorgeous with my hazelnut eyes. I remember the struggle to find my first red eyeshadow a few years back, and now every brand has a red toned palette. Not complaining at all!

I know makeup is for enhance the beauty of  facial structure and skintones, but no matter what, I always end looking like a cheap hooker with ugly eyeliner and a bright red mouth and look older than I am  :alpacamad:

Honestly after years watching make gurus on Youtube and reading J magazines about make up and so much stuff I realized very late that those trends didnt fit me at all. Starting with my yellowish light skin and my downturned eyes with round face combo I just dont play that much energy than the one looking at cute girls on iG lol.

I have too moods with make up i reaaally like to do my make up like this sometimes because I'm tired of the old "smokey eyeshadow" look but I dont wanna go over the top with colors (maybe some pinks or purples sometimes).

I'm not really on that level of make up yet but when I go out my outfit its always popping miles away (i cant go lowkey at all lol) so I keep it very simple since i'm most of the time wearing wigs until my hairs grows enought to fix my haircut lol

She is my second inspiration for a more "everyday/casual night wtv" look.

i like to incorporate both eastern and western looks into my makeup bc of my eye shape (smokey eyes with an aegyo sal) and from time to time i switch it up between a gradient glossy lip or a full on overdrawn matte lip

i kinda do a full face but like i just like doing makeup so lOL. but all in all, i'm not too dramatic. i like this muted rosy nude lip that goes with a lot of different looks and i like wearing different colors for eyeshadow but i like using different colors. if i'm wearing bolder colors, i lower the colors closer to my lash line so i don't look too crazy for everyday use. i wear natural looking falsies with mascara, and i like more natural looking brows. light highlighter, and i do contour and bronze but i tend to stray away from contouring my nose because i think it looks strange on me. i like a more matte finish in colder weather and a glossier look for warmer weather, although i dont use illuminating primers bc ehhh i'd rather build up the dewiness myself.

It’s so nice to be in a place where people think no makeup-makeup is acceptable. Don’t get me wrong, I love cosmetics and hoard them myself — I just cannot be bothered with all of the procedural steps to beat my face.

With that being said, I love the look of natural makeup that makes you look almost sleepy? Fresh skin, blushed cheeks, groomed brows, and puffy lips (like the reference pictures). I like it because it’s practical and versatile. If I’m out in the day and have plans during the evening, I’ll layer my lipstick on my cheeks and lips more.

I find it the most natural-looking if I coordinate the same colors on my eyes, cheeks, and lips and will swipe a bit of lipstick or balm on all of those places (tip of the nose too). Some mascara, brow pencil, and I’m ready to go!
