I saw she just posted this:

Screenshot_20190608-120851__01.thumb.jpgShes going to move to japan?

I really hope this doesn't come off as rude, but she's posted about having financial issues and finding a job before. I wonder how she's going to pay for it..

I mean good for her and all, but I hope she makes some kind of explanation as to how she managed to afford this, as she has said many times that she doesn't have a job... I don't think that a few months of doing patreon would have been able to support this either?

this isn't just towards tsuruko but other weeaboo e-girls in general... why do they all think moving to japan is going to change their lives for the better? sure it's a new environment, but none of them actually see it from a business point of view... like a prosperous and successful opportunity but instead, a land of anime surrounded by the japanese people they love to fetishise and the culture they love to fantasise about

i just don't get it tbh

well that's the weeb life... come to Japan! it's all anime and maid cafes and lolita fashion! it's not, often times people who aren't very worldly don't do sufficient research and just rely on stereotypes...

To be fair Tsuruko didn't imply any of that

I'm not defending people that fetishize Japan but if they like anime and cosplaying then it's really a no brainer why their go-to destination would be Japan

yeah that's fair, i just meant it as a generalisation that moving to another country with no specific plans won't change a person's life drastically for the better... immediately at least. it won't make them richer and if anything, they'll still be in the same position as they were in their home country but just in japan now.

people that move to japan because they think it's the land of anime don't seem to think things through tbqh

that's true

you see a lot of (non-asian) influencers move to japan (or nowadays Korea too?) because think they'll stand out more and hopefully get noticed by some sort of modelling agency, a potential sugar daddy or something like that - when back home they wouldn't be getting this kind of attention, so for them it could be a way of getting 'rich'. It's problematic tbh

I don't really like Tsuruko but I don't think she thinks this way ^_^

I kind of feel like her content is stale recently. I use to like her but I feel like all of her cosplay quality is really bad

Tsuruko posted this.

It's considered an invasion of privacy to take photos of others in bathrooms and is illegal in many countries, including Australia. Despite some fans reiterating this to her, she still keeps it up. Someone could literally report her directly to Instagram & Australian authorities lmao. Is she that daft to risk such a thing by keeping the post up?

Her patreon definitely plays a part in it. She currently has 42 patrons. Her monthly income is anywhere between $42-$2100 without having to do essentially anything (and assuming that every patron is either the lowest or highest tier; however, it's usually a mix). She has stated the patreon money she gets helps her a lot. She probably saved the free money she scammed from her audience over many months instead of using it to actually improve her cosplays like she said she wouldAdd to that, her patreon doesn't really cost her anything. Discord - a free app? Some grainy selfies she would have posted on Instagram anyway if she didn't have a patreon? Digital prints? Your name in her booming YT vids? Her margins are excellent. I would like to assume she also saved some money from when she was working, despite claiming she was super poor all the time. Other sources may include: potential money from her bf or family and some sponsored Instagram posts/YT. If it turns out she turned to sugaring / escorting / sex work like so many obsessive jvlogger weebs, l wouldn't be surprised, given the vast amount that do so, but that's a major tinfoil and unfounded speculation at this point (though she has posted some slightly lewd/sexy selfies -- the one in a bra and long wig, the milk selfie, the gun between her legs spread open etc).

Side rant:
I am so confused. In the UK and parts of Europe I've been to these are everywhere. It's common knowledge here what there for. Are they not a thing in Australia or America??

maybe if she left her room once in a while instead of taking selfies all day, she'd knew. also the fact that she takes pics in public toilets with people in there annoys me to now end. she's not 12, and people have informed her multiple times.

Idk about Australia but I live in America and in the part I live atleast I think I have seen these at street corners/crosswalks in cities and busy areas and such. Aside from that though no, I don't think they are too common here and I never knew what they were used for before either 🤷‍♀️
