    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.

so after kaachi happened

there's this trend in other countries where other non-korean kpop groups are debuting

I would post this one from my country but they still have a small following and they still didn't film the music video lol

Okay but what the heck? The fact that people can cite TWO different apps to which it could apply (and I'm sure there's way more) is insane. :doge:

I could say many things about that, but these 4 words sum it up perfectly: that is fucked up.

Or a little bit more jazz added: It crosses every line possible and goes beyond reason and logic. Disrespectful and disgusting. How on Earth did anyone go and think that this is a completely okay thing to do? Who approved of something like that? Do they have no regard for common decency?

I am not someone that cries appropriation and gets offended, but how dare they? They are quite literally, directly taking another person's (modern pop) culture and profiting off it. And it's not like there is a possible reason one could defend them like they really love K-pop and the language. Bullshit. They see the popularity and want to jump on the bandwagon. Or they are completely obsessed with Korean culture, fetishise everything about it and the people and want to monetarily benefit from it which is even worse.

I am not offended when a non Asian idol tries to make it in the Korean entertainment industry or is a part of a Korean group, but groups lie Karachi just make me think fuck all do you have with Korea? They aren't based in Korea, one member is Korean, they never went to the training it takes to become an Idol...

I find no problem with non-korean groups debuting outside of Korea, just don't call it k-pop that's my only gripe.

yeah , I really don't see why they don't want to call themselves "pop dance group inspired by kpop"

because they're koreaboos. they wanna be like oppa and unnie (or try and date their "oppa"), so they try and get as close to the scene as they can.

At the end a horny man is a horny man, They’ll fck anything 🙄. I’m sorry to break it to the kboos, but most korean men don’t even plan to marry a foreigner, there might be that 1% that truely loves you and marry you but 99% of the korean men end up marrying a korean woman. I personally asked someone who is friends with my friend and that korean guy basically told me his dream was to bang a foreign girl, i asked him what about marriage? He said no he wants to marry a korean girl.

lmao who are you to represent all korean mens opinions? Then explain why there have been so many interracial couples in korean recently, korea is getting more open minded so your one korean friend does not represent all korean men’s opinions.
I know this might be hard for you to understand but there are actually people who care about who they are marrying and not just what country that person comes from.

i didnt say ALL of them , i also said ofcourse they is a small percentage who’s marrying for love🙄 i didn’t say this based of one korean dude. Ofcourse i know there’s been a lot of interracial couples in Korea, but i was talking about marriage mainly not how many interracial relationships.

South korea is still 97% korean and probably most of the foreigners there arent planning on staying. Even if korean guys are interested in dating foreigners, they're gonna want to marry someone who's gonna stay in korea. So whats the logical conclusion? Most korean men will only want to marry koreans. Will some foreigners decide to stay for love? Sure! But that's a small percentage. There's also the family pressure to marry a korean. Even if the young people in korea are more open minded, a lot of the older generations arent.

just glancing at this girls profile gave me so much secondhand embarrassment and disgust that my body immediately recoiled🤢🥴

people who think that harassing strangers and bothering them is okay are so detached from reality

It's the current trend. Thank the internet.

Realistically, it's happening all over the globe that people are harassing strangers and putting it on the internet. Or just filming/photographing them even if they aren't directly harassing them (I would still consider that a form a harassment).

Call me crazy, but I don't agree with the whole you can film or photograph anyone if it's in a public place. I think people should still have a reasonable expectation of privacy - aka being able to pick their damn cookies at the grocery store and not having a creepy dude take pictures of your ass and post it to the internet for everyone to see. Yeah sure, it's a public place and your ass is covered with jeans, but people should still have the expectation of privacy - being able to lead a normal life without having to worry that someone is going to film you doing anything - even if you are doing nothing wrong and just standing at the bus station waiting for your bus.

I don't even know why I'm ranting, I just want to point out that it's not just a cringy Kboo issue, it's a widespread issue.
