    • Recent changes to PULL   07/07/19

Hello everyone,   As promised, we're working on some changes to improve the forum and community! So far, here are the recent changes: Negative reputation has been disabled. Upvoting remains intact. This is a trial run to deal with whiteknights brigading certain topics and salty users mass-downvoting users they disagree with. Some text formatting options have been removed. Some users like to format their posts in ways that make them harder to read or downright obnoxious. (Light colors, tiny fonts, etc), so this helps make threads more readable. If you find yourself needing post formatting because you're making a new thread, please contact a mod and we will make it happen. New threads have to be approved anyway, so you're not going to have to start out with an ugly thread. Text formatting remains available to all users who have supported us via Patreon. No more threads on "Online Personalities". We will NOT lock or remove old threads, but we won't approve new threads about people who don't have any history of drama or controversies. Some threads will be moved to the snowflake sections if applicable. Read the new topic guidelines before you make a new thread. Here are our works in progress: New categories will be added. "Little Snowflakes" is too broad of a spectrum, so we're going to sort our flakes into a few sub-sections to keep things organized. We will also make more use of tags for those flakes who transcend categories. This will also allow us to appoint moderators to specific categories or snowflakes. New moderators will be onboarded soon.

No amount of reusable cups, reusable straws, yoga pants made from recycled bottles, overpriced jeans from Reformation, or whining about the environment changes the fact that most of the problems are from overconsumption.

People wanna feel sorry for animals and the planet but are also at Target buying more garbage. You're not really sorry.

completely agree !! and on top of that, no matter how much effort you put in, the people who can really make a change and literally sAvE ThE EaRtH lol, are never gonna do it because that means they lose a huge amount of money. and thats not how capitalism works lol

Expecting things out of big corporations and billion-dollar industries will always be difficult but I'm a big vote-with-your-money kind of person. Don't buy it, don't encourage people to buy it, and maybe the corporation will feel it.

I'll always put effort because I've always believed in small increments and leading by example. So please continue whatever efforts you make! Anything counts, even just recycling food containers at home.:)

But I legit get frustrated because even at the normal, grassroots level--like YouTube--some idiot influencer will think it's cute to buy reusable straws and IN THE SAME BREATH, tell you that they did a $700 Sephora haul, bought their 500th pair of leggings but SAVE THE TURTLES OK

Complete lack of fuckin self-awareness, lmao.

Liking ´´true crime´´ or ´´serial killer´´ stuff doesn't make you edgy, unique, quirky or ´´OMG I'm so weird for liking this kind of stuff I scare myself, Im so crazy uwu´´.
you do realize that there are whole broadcasts/TV stations/YouTube channels entirely dedicated to anything crime related and they are immensely popular all around the world so stop thinking you're a ´´psycho´´ and so ´´unique/special´´ because you enjoy these type of things. Its basic human curiosity and nothing special about it.

Twitter artists who drag out their callouts and drama for days to weeks to stay relevant are extremely annoying. They need to learn how to turn off direct messages and not add fuel to the edgelords that come after them.

Kimchi hiphop and rappers are embarrassing it’s bunch of asian kids with dreads grills and ugly tattoos mimicking gun sounds and talking about westside and crips when they grew up in busan and at most were iljins, they repeat the word naega because it sounds like the nword and they know they won’t get called out for it because it’s korean but their whole career is based on a stereotypical cosplay and a life they never lived. Don’t quote me with “not all kimchi rappers!!!!” because idc about your oppa

"Gamer" men complaining about "Sony Censorship" because they can't beat one off to Senran Kagura is annoying as shit, and then whenever you call them out for it, they accuse you of being the NPC SJW BOOGEYMAN. Oh boo fucking hoo, you can't play your inflation softcore porn disguised as a "fighting game"? I don't fucking pity them at all.

-grown ass people should have some knowledge of their locality's politics, esp. when voting is compulsory. unless you leave a blank ballot (which is a perfectly fine thing to do imo) don't vote for the Obscure Weed Party then complain about the state of the country later when you're a dunce

-also i lowkey am judgemental when grown adults say they "hate" politics and make it their entire personality. like damn, i don't vibe with parliament either but the shit that goes on in that hellhole potentially affects my life and many others. nobody's asking you to remember all the hoes in both the senate and house of reps, just have some basic ass knowledge and social responsibility. that being said everybody in politics is trash but that's more of a popular opinion than anything lol.

-Entitled artists on tumblr and twitter who constantly complain about not getting new commissions are annoying. Most of them have commissions from MONTHS ago that they didn't even start yet.

-Some digital artists do charge too much for their work. I know a lot of time goes into it as well as materials, but come off it. Most of them put off their commissions for weeks bc they don't feel like doing it right away and then say they're busy, so charging extra for their time is ridiculous.

-digital artists need to understand that most of their supporters are working class, so if they want to buy your art but ask if the price can be slightly reduced its to fit around their normal budgit. Blasting them on social media and letting your followers attack them bc they dared to request a cheaper option is super immature and unprofessional. If you don't want to make your work cheaper then just politely tell them no and carry on. Don't tell people "respect artists and their prices uwu" when you can't even respect the fact that not everyone is able to spend £80+ on a digital drawing.

(Not sure if unpopular or not but I see a lot of people do this so I’m gonna leave this here)

People who have one of their tweets randomly get 25k likes so they’re like in their own comments “wow I didn’t expect to get so many likes, here’s my venmo” (I’m not kidding here) are the absolute WORST. You’ve done nothing except tweet something a lot of people agreed with.

Just on principle, I HATE e-begging or always leaving your PayPal or venmo for people to hopefully randomly give you money. Fuck you. DO SOMETHING for people to WANT to give you money. You don’t deserve money just for existing. Get a fucking job at mcdonalds like the rest of us.

I especially hate it when people post about not having money to eat etc then says "oh you don't HAVE to send me money, I'd feel so bad if a bunch of you did but here's my paypal/venmo any amount will do." This whole thing is so manipulative, especially when you call them out (someone on my facebook does this regularly) its a war between you and those people who are sympathetic to their "struggles", even tho they usually spend the money on literally everything but what they claimed they needed it for.
