welp, I actually like Bebe and Halsey

feel bad for Bebe, she had a chance to be on zedd's the middle and didn't get chosen as the main vocialist, and her highest charting song (meant to be) is her worst song. her album was also in production limbo for years... her vocal tones always been nasally, think it suits her though. she has a lot of unreleased tracks and her version of "me myself and I" which was meant to be her song, is superior to the final version. she just hasn't had a lucky streak her entire career. kind of feel about her the way I felt about Kesha before kesha left her record label (and started releasing music without creative overlording from abusive producers), lots of unreleased songs I enjoy and good released content, but it's buried in between the cracks of the more well known stuff. At least "I'm a mess" was a good single? Too bad nothing can negate the mistake that was "meant to be", sorry Bebe, that's your worst song hands down

I did not and don't want to subscribe to PewdiePie.

why do people even still like felix

he's so annoyingly cringey and edgy and panders way too much to the alt right for comfort, unfollowed everyone on twitter because he wanted to hide the fact that he was following various alt righters. even if he isn't actually alt right, he's still profiting off the views of alt righters or serving as a gateway pipeline for kids even just mentioning alt right content or using typically edgy alt right "humor".

the fact of the matter is that I thought the fiver incident was gross, but I'm actually more pissed off by the fact that his more recent content contains dogwhistles and references to actual neonazis, like that ER guy.

I used to be subbed to Felix when I was younger, I unsubscribed from him not too long after because I preferred other let's players. I miss when he was a video gamer and seemingly normal guy. Even if he screamed a lot and often seemed melodramatic, and his old content could be more reactive and less critical, I prefer the overemphasized hyperactivity over his current persona.

i remember i liked her debut ep so much when it came out! her song "Gone" gave me such a good impression of her honestly I still adore that song. i kind of forgot about her after though lol. something threw me off about her for a while i don't know what it was? but after really listening to "I'm a Mess" and watching a few videos of her i'm starting to dig her more again. i thought i was the only one who didn't like "Meant to Be" tbh especially since so much country seems to be popular and i really can't usually stand country

i think it's florida georgia line that makes the song unbearable. those two are so annoying. the only country pop i ever cared for was old taylor swift, old miranda lambert, old carrie underwood, and a few other pop country songs individually, besides that i couldn't give a rats ass about the genre.

my ex introduced me to her and honestly even taking into account the implications of that, i think "pray" and "i can't stop drinking about you" were probably the songs that made me sob my ass off when trying to get over the relationship after it ended poorly, so they left a positive impact on me.

she wasn't active for a long time and i discovered her late, kind of forgot about her till she released her latter eps and expectations. i hope she continues to release more music after being held back for so long.

i don't want her to ever end up in a situation like JoJo did where her label never allows her to release anything (luckily, JoJo, my childhood icon, a thousand unreleased songs later, did manage to escape that hellish contract), hopefully now that Bebe's had mainstream success they won't neglect her.

This is gonna sound very old-man-yells-at-cloud but I'm tired of the current pop scene. I love pop music but nowadays everything on the radio has the same electronic/Chainsmokers sound, and the artificially pitched nasally female vocals (like Halsey, Alessia Cara, Camilla Cabello, Bebe Rexha) drive me crazy they're so unpleasant to listen to. Kpop isn't much better, I listened to a few new releases and they're all just carbon copies of eachother (musically speaking). Pop music can be so good, I don't know why everyone nowadays is so annoying and derivative.

Pop music nowadays is based on a certain formula so to say. In a certain way it's true that they say that you have to sell your soul if you want to become the next big thing; once you sign a deal with a big label, they not only require you to hand over the rights to your music, they also will tell you how to write new material. Impressionable young girls/boys get blinded by even the idea of fame and are determined to sell every shred of themselves to get their three seconds of fame. It's sad

While I myself am not a huge fan of modern pop music, I did try to listen to several artists. The quality of the mixes were fucking terrible, making it impossible for me to listen comfortably and actually enjoy it. It's like they constantly crank out songs that have been recorded, edited, produced and mastered in less than 24 hours. It's frustrating to be labeled as a closeminded pophater if you genuinely don't like it

I don't think Pokimane and Sssniperwolf are as bad as people say. I hate how everyone has to make these 'exposing' videos about them and others and most things they say are just picky/farfetched.

A lot of people do have good points, and I agree with most, but there are so many that are just looking for the small things. I feel like they're too one-sided.

idk where to put this opinion, since it's related to a former kpop idol--i don't get the hate for luhan's girlfriend. tbh i dislike the "he's prettier than his gf" comments too (to any couple really). i MEAN theyre probably jokes but they don't sit too well with me?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  but that's not the worse part...the worse part is, people keep shipping him to dilraba dilmurat. and (mostly) these shippers degrade gxt as well. like...ok, both couples have to be the """"same visual level"""" so they can be a good couple???? (well actually i find guan xiaotong adorable/pretty but, i'm just pointing out their mentality lol)

not all international fans are woke (tho i do kinda sense there are lowkey salty ones if u ask me). there are immature ones too. the proof is this one.

i actually find them cute together tbh;; i'm not even a fan but it's nice he found someone

The whole anti-thot thing is super disgusting and pathetic to me. Meme or not way too many guys seem to take it serious. Pick-me girls that slut shame women to appeal to anti-thot guys are honestly almost even more pathetic imo.

Also as time goes by I'm losing respect for religion. I don't see how it has benefitted the world enough to excuse the absolute misery religion has brought in comparison. I won't say what people can or cannot believe in, I still respect the individuals.

Edit: Something I suddenly thought of and wanted to add, sarcastic people or to be more precise people that make being sarcastic their main personality trait are most of the time super annoying.

izaya orihara is a bad character, not a good "villain", not a good "troll", not funny, and his design is always drawn so, so badly, it's like the animators/artists want me to call him ugly. why do people find him attractive oml he's so fucking weird looking and not in a good way, and his personality and character is shit, he's a basic edgelord and he doesn't even have a backstory... his backstory is "random guy likes to be an edgelord and has no explanation for why he behaves the way he behaves at all", thats fucking boring. i read the fucking ln's dont tell me that i can't be the only one who interpreted this guy as being shallow and shitty as "antagonists" (like i said i dont really consider him one because he's pretty stupid) come? why is he one of the most popular chars in the series, he's shit.

i haven't rewatched drrr in a hot fucking minute but even as one of my favorite series this guy is one of the worst anime edgelords of all time, or perhaps the worst, and theres a couple other chars (mikado, shizuo) who i really do not like either who the fandom is fond of. why does the drrr fandom like these 3 cretins? especially izaya, that fucking ugly stringbean? eugh. shizuo is kind of boring and his antics grow old after awhile, much like izaya he doesnt have much in the way of a decent backstory, his violence throughout is more disturbing than endearing and makes me think he needs to seek therapy for his anger management issues, mikado going 100% lunatic out of nowhere was also a pretty bad plot move and makes 0 sense.

besides those 3 there are a lot of characters i like but among the fandom they insist those three guys are good and i really have to disagree, despite the focus they get i really dislike them for various reasons.

from a story standpoint i loved the way some things in that series were structured and some of the characters who werent the 3 aforementioned, hence why it is one of my favorites, however, those 3 ultimately i feel could have their screentime or page time significantly reduced and some plot details changed and it would make for a far better series of arcs. izaya shouldve just died early on tbh. even shizuo bland as he can be... would be a less lousy antagonist because i see his anger management issues as actually being potentially harmful to others, izaya is just a lame-o. mikado being severe blandy boy and going psycho out of nowhere was uncalled for, made no sense, that could be erased too. basically those 3, i didnt like their contributions to the story that much and i felt like their plot progression wasn't a very good way to advance the story.

on the contrary i wanted to see more focus on characters like the yakuza, akane awakusu, her family, shiki and akabayashi- kida, anri, shinra and celty, ran izumii and aoba, and others who really could have filled those gaps and replaced a better chunk of their arcs. also i just didnt like mikado being in a gang at fucking all, it was about as well executed as his sudden shift in personality. i dont know why they insisted on pandering to izaya fans so much either, i fucking loathe him.

i feel like out of all the 3 characters i dislike shizuo ended up having the best character dev, but he was still underwhelming. at least he can actually have a moral event horizon that seems believable by comparison to the other 2? who never really have their moment of reckoning, it's so unrealistic. the only thing that was going to stop izaya from being an annoying edgelord and teach him a lesson was death, honestly.

it's been THREE YEARS since the original drrr ended but this is still how i feel and seeing izaya's ugly mug makes me instantly want to hide any pic of him with ublock / scroll down lmao i literally hATE the character that much to the point where i can ever wonder if i can rewatch the show ever because MY HATRED FOR HIM IS THAT STRONG UGH GROSS

Hey it is okay to have weird fetishes. It is also okay to have none at all, the human experience is really varied so it is absolutely okay to stay in your comfort zones or explore as you wish.
