We're aware that PULL needs more moderation and attention, so we're actively looking to expand our mod crew! If you're a regular user and intend to stay this way, then rest assured that we're working on improving PULL for you. In order to do this, we rely on user reports, so I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to report posts you think break a rule, disrupt discussion or shouldn't be allowed.  There is absolutely no concern over getting too many reports - we get a handful of reports per week. More reports would be great because it helps us figure out how our users want the forum to be - leaving criticism in threads doesn't make it easy for mods to find your opinions. Furthermore, don't worry about being a "snitch" or too harsh - a report doesn't mean action will be taken, that's up to the mods. A report really only tells us to look at the comment and to gauge the community atmosphere. Often times, peer pressure or established community atmosphere will dictate the direction a thread takes, and criticizing certain posts can be uncomfortable or downright futile when the majority disagrees with your view. This leads to groupthink and degradation of thread quality because the loudest/most active users get their way. So reporting is a way to quickly and anonymously (to other users) give feedback to the moderators. If we don't get this feedback, we think everyone's happy and there's no need for change. So use this feature as much as you'd like to help shape PULL into a more constructive community again. If you'd like to be a moderator: Click here for the application form.

[spoiler/]

It's been MONTHS and I am finally back. So Aki posted a video and the title has caught my interest because it had reminded me of a BL manga I have read last year and I wanted to hear her input on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLA0dOvZNAw

Aki explained the story "I Hear The Sunspot" about a DEAF guy and some boy. I got really, well not pissed but I got a bit angry that she has stated it WRONG. Basically the 'deaf' guy has severe hearing loss which prevents the 'deaf' guy from communicating with people in different environments, yes he can read SOME lip, it is a skill that most people with hearing loss has developed or people who fully became deaf when they're older(?) to aid them in communication. I'm not sure how bookwalker translated it but in the PHYSICAL copies it was stated that he had severe hearing loss and SPOILER

I'm sorry for my rant but Aki had took a VERY special manga I related to (the hearing loss problem) and had given out false information which makes me upset cause basically even hearing loss and deafness are NOT the same. Please get your facts right :)))

Adding on - STOP BAITING PEOPLE WITH THE WORD YAOI BECAUSE THE MANGA IS NOT WHAT THEY WOULD EXPECT IF THEY WERE EXPECTING STEAMY STUFF TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL MANGA THAT DOESN'T NEED YAOI GIRLS OBSESSING OVER THE FACT THAT HE IS "DEAF"

- Plus Aki makes the character sound pitiful in the title...

I know which series you're talking about and it sounds like she thinks it's Silent Voice + Yaoi and NO. But I'm not shocked her understanding of it is shallow. That's usually her MO, no?

Joined the forum recently, so apologies if I screw up any forum etiquette on accident. Admittedly, as a former fan of both Aki and Joey, I always felt like there was something a little skeevy about both of them, even though I watched Joey’s videos more. Come to find out all of this, and I can’t say I’m shocked. I’m sure what I’m about to say isn’t at all new, but I figured I’d share an opinon or two just to have my two cents out there finally.

To start off, I can for sure say that Joey’s had the “anime elitist” sort of attitude for the longest time, always proclaiming that subs trump dubs anyday. People mostly listened to him due to the fact that he’s A, part Japanese himself and B, an anime YouTuber with over a million subs to his name. I may have just ignored it, but I never quite recalled him talking often about hentai/lolis, but again, not shocked that’s something he’s openly interested in.

Aki’s sort of in the same boat, but at the same time, she advertised her interests so much more clearly that I noticed them quickly. At first, I had no real clue she was connected to Joey, but when I did, it sort of connected the dots for me. Both some of the biggest anitubers and both pretty damn weird.

As time went on, I stopped watching either of them and a lot of anitubers in general because it all just became the same thing sometimes considering how most of them were connected and made videos on similar things. When I found out they both had insterests in not so sound things, shota and loli, I wasn’t entirely shocked, but I was pretty unnerved. It’s just another example of looking up to someone, only to discover what lies beneath the surface isn’t what you always thought.

Sorry for being long winded, but just wanted to put it out there.

Never feel bad about making a long post. The more view points we see the better.  And if you have a lot to say it's only natural your post will get long.

I been curious about the series sincesi see it in everyone's set on the majority of the IG manga community and I assumed it's like most yaoi manga and avoided it cause I simply dislike yaoi in any form thanks to fan-girls. Thanks for this info, I may actually poke at it now.

Oh boi, he's going to make a video saying Dororo is so lit AF! xD xD xD

I'm gonna be expecting Anitubers (especially Jobo-kun's friends) saying the same thing.

Can he stop with the "_____________. Fight me!" Shit bc it is honestly so annoying. Specially that hes so grown. Like that's such an old trend. It's not even funny anymore just annoying. It's unnecessary and doesn't make your claim stronger.

Y'know I wouldn't mind him saying A, B, or C anime is bad/good if he actually went into it. I mean SuperEyepatchWolf's vids have such amazing detail, he even went through and dissected anime stills and compared them to their original manga panels for his Junji Ito Collection Series vid. It makes the opinion more in-depth and feels like a stronger argument for WHY he has such an opinion. Every time Jobo makes a vid it feels like he's winging it down to the editing, has absolutely no script, and can't really explain his opinion. 50% of his videos feel like ragging on the "popular opinion" but nothing about his opinions feel distinct (except for his stance on Loli shit and that's just by virtue of his stance being disgusting) I can only ever vaguely recall his reviewish vids whereas Eyepatch usually takes more neutralish stances but since his arguments are so polished and detailed they stick out more clearly in the mind.

At this point it's basically a title for the series.  So he may have backed himself into a corner there.

Last October, the Japanese government issued the results of its Special Opinion Poll on Harmful Materials, in which 86.5% of respondents said that manga and art should be subject to regulation for child pornography, while 90.9% said that "harmful materials" on the Internet should be regulated. The current child pornography laws in Japan do not regulate manga and art that depict children who are not real, or "virtual child pornography".

Sure, the poll is over ten years old, so this might have changed over the years... but still, it's hilarious how Jobo, the proudest of all proud Japanese, seems to think it's cool to be into drawn child porn when his little hobby is largely frowned upon in his favorite country (and presumably Australia).

Its frowned upon in Australia and getting caught with even drawn child pornography lands you in jail

Edit: I got tricked by the thumbnail.  In hindsight it's more obvious that it is fake.

Oh my gosh why would you actually get that tattooed on your body? I mean Seriously what would ever make you think this was a good idea? this is like getting a "Rip Brian" tattoo.

First off  no one should really even be that upset at an Indian Music channel is getting subs. It's going to get subs. The company hasn't done anything super bad. There is no need to start a dumb campaign over it.

Second off no one actually gives a shit whose 1 on youtube.

Third off it's not worth it. T-Series will win. They've got music vs dumb reaction videos. They've got a huge audience that's only growing.  PewDiePie's isn't.  You'll look back at the tattoo and regret in like a week.

Considering at least one guy got thrown in Jail and kicked out the military for drawing it and having it (Griddles on DA).  yeah it's bad in both his countries.
