    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.
    • Reputation Has Increased!   07/06/20

Hello. You have been asking for it and it is finally here. We have increased the number of reputation given in a day from 25 to 50. We will see how well 50 works out and if that is enough. Please continue to provide feedback and we will reevaluate as needed. This change has been added to the site changes thread located here. Happy repping. Thank you.

Somehow I don't think Japan is waiting on a radicalised Mira. Also on which visa will she enter?

Student? Spouse? Religious refugee?

Japan doesn't really let in refugees, so the latter wouldn't work

What is she referring to with "Saudi is changing"? Does she mean that women now have the same rights as AI robots (like, driving a car) and that's too much? Or other feminist things she so hates? How is Japan any better in that regard from her POV? I don't get her logic.

I'm pretty sure she meant that women in Saudi are now having some right, albeit not many obviously. She loved the image of being extremely limited in her choices and decisions I guess aka wanted to be controlled and turn her brain off completely?

Japan is literally one of the least easy place to practice Islam for one simple reason: the food.

We're not supposed to eat pork or any consumable product made from pigs. While practicing-but-not-devout like me won't eat obvious pork product like ham katsu, the more devout ones will scrutinize the ingredients list of a snack to determine if it's halal or not (spoiler alert: most of them are not halal friendly)

Alcohol is also an issue, considering soy sauce is a fermented product and do contain some % of alcohol in it.

Eating out is a nightmare. Some travel agencies in my country have designated halal tour to accommodate those needs (only go to halal restaurants etc, which is very very very limited in Japan)

Don't forget the halal slaughter thing. It's going to be borderline impossible to find halal beef or chicken products in the supermarket even if she cooks her own meals.

Most of my Muslims friends who lives in Japan only consume vegetable and seafood due to those issues and barely eat out. They won't even touch Kit Kat bars because it might contain pork derivatives product.

i think because recently there was a change in the laws of marrying a foreigner (age, salary of the man..etc) and she was complaining about it in twitter.

OT but  before Halal made its way to Europe, muslim immigrants would just work their way around pork and eat beef pr chicken.

Many years later Arabic and Turkish supermarkets started to sell Halal meat, but many families who came to Europe decades ago , or some who are not that strict, will still go the easy way.

Whenever they visit their family in their home country they will eat halal

True but Mira is supposed to be ~~~super devout~~~ that's why she's wearing niqab. Devout ones will be very strict about their dietary restrictions, hence living in Japan would be a nightmare, food wise.

That's why I think she's spouting nonsense about Japan being better to practice her religion vs. Saudi is really really stupid. Her excuses don't make sense. I think she's not keen of idea that they'll close stores and whatnot during prayer times in Saudi, trapping the customers within.

All I can say is I called it less than two weeks ago. Looks like she's taking the "Stay in Japan" route.

Only thing I can really add is... that video was a whole different level of cringe. The awkward text, the even more awkward voice-over for when she went in the cave where she's pretending that she's actually speaking but just recorded it on a mic. Remember when she tweeted non-stop about how hard making videos was and that she was exhausted? She got exhausted for THIS content.

I ask myself just why, why did she get triggered so much that she dont try to ride this dead horse much longer?

She want to go to SA in up to 5 years, so why now the other way?

The videos is simply not interesting, there are lots of videos on YT that have a personal note and are morer entertaining.

One simple point she forgett is, that charisma and personality are traids that are quit important, YT is entertaining and not just education.

And it take a lot more to make interesting and entertaining videos were no person is visible then that.

The fact that Mira did not include her face in that video was a major plus. I've seen enough of those...
