OMG! Are you not supposed to be clean before going into an onsen? She's not only wearing makeup, but she's also not tied her hair up. I wouldn't want to get into a bath, that has somebodies hair in. She claims to be Japanese so much and that we should do this or that in Japan. Yet, she never follows the things she herself tells others not to do. Plus, how many videos can she do in onsens and baths? She knows she cant get high views without that clickbait.

It still has people's pubes in it.

Well, I think people forget she used to be a hostess and that her old boyfriend( husband? I don't know what they are) commented how she'd like sleep around with older men when she was living in Canada.  So I wouldn't be surprised if while she worked as a hostess, she slept with the men for money and gifts. Besides, while most hostess clubs don't allow touching of the employees there are types in the red light district that allow it. So it's probable she worked and had sex for money. Not saying she did, just wouldn't be surprised. Although she likes to tell me her ex bf lied about everything so who knows, honestly.

My very first thought when i considered how she is able to pay for all her crap and living expenses was that she is/was an escort. It's fairly common here in the states, I know two girls that I grew up with who did it. I would have never known had they not told me. It pays extremely well, flexible hours, no set work week so plenty of time to travel, doesn't take much language skill or brain power: perfect for miranda. One question is how/where she is introduced to clients, because you know shes soooo famous that it might be a little risky to be on an escort website or picking up johns in a hostess club (someone might see her!). I think its possible that visa-kun is helping, maybe introducing her to only japanese men he knows/meets. But, once you have a solid base of clients that you can see every week, its not real necessary to find new ones.

Of course, pure speculation but it seems to fit. I would also not be surprised.

There are a lot of options to work in the red district/business in Japan : hostess is one of the easiest and you can get a lot of money if you're good at it. You just have to join a hostess club, no need to look around for the clients, they come to the club and if they like you enough they'll pick you again for the next visit, and etc. Also some girls do have sex with the clients which means more money for them. Then, you have the girl bars when clients come to the bar and all the bartenders are cute girls talking to them and etc. And then there are even shadier business. But anyway, a lot of foreign girls do end up working as hostess, for instance, because Tokyo is expensive and it's difficult when you arrive, you don't speak Japanese good enough or you don't have Japanese diploma/enough diploma for what you're looking for. I think that we do what we can to survive. Miranda worked in a hostess club before, she said so right? So she may have keep contact with some of her clients and see them from time to time to get some cash. But that is only speculation anyway.

About the video, I was so annoyed by her little "bad girl" attitude when she talked in Japanese. It felt a lot like she was conscious a lot of people criticize her Japanese (because it's shit and it's true), so she felt the need to show her "skills"... Though, it was ridiculous : the vulgar japanese, the attitude, the everything.

Not familiar with hostessing jobs entirely (never quite appealed to me to try lol but to each their own) BUT what I am wondering is the laws in Japan regarding someone like Miranda doing that work? I know when you go to Japan on a working holiday visa or a visitor's visa that you cannot do that work. Same with a student visa?
It would be lovely if the government found out some dirt of Miranda's life in Japan when she tries to become a Japanese citizen...;D ha

Well… on a spouse visa you can work as a hostess. But honestly – I don't see Miranda doing that anymore. I'm not sure if she still works at that restaurant 'for fun'. She hasn't posted an instagram picture where she can be seen in her work attire (white blouse) for 3 months and is travelling all the time.

She's just leeching off of visa-kun 2.0 at the moment and if she is honest about being short on money, maybe their agreement is expiring in November – where she is 100% sure she'll get 'citizenship'. I mean – why would she?

You can't just marry Japan and get your 'special citizenship', Miranda. :harharplz:

You can in fact illegally do hostess work if you don't have a visa. a lot of places will pay under the table because a large portion of people who don't have a visa do it. But, while it isn't "illegal" for foreigners to work as a hostess, it's that the company won't sponsor them so they can't get a visa. So they need to be married or a citizen. Maybe when she becomes one she'll go be a hostess again and quit youtube for good : P.  She did it while she was married (if any of you remembered) and had to quit when they got divorced.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find Miranda to be attractive enough to make money by being a hostess. Anyway, why is she so sure that she can get citizenship? Don't you have to speak Japanese well to become a citizen?

They interview you in Japanese and question you on the history and stuff.  You have to be pretty fluent to get naturalized.  However, this is not the case with Miranda.  She is getting PR.  Which is something you just apply for and wait to come in the mail.  No Japanese skills required.  They have English forms.

She keeps claiming she's going to have to give up her Canadian citizenship though. Or at least that's something I heard her say before - you wouldn't need to do that for PR. Of course she's a bag of lies but just pointing that out.

You don't have to be attractive at all to be a hostess. Many hostesses are random country side girls from SE Asia with no particular beauty.

Funny story,  my ex paid his way through uni being one of those bartender boys at a hostess club and he said it's never the attractive girls that are the most popular,  it's the ones that are really good at convincing customers they actually like and value them. (Not saying this would be Mira but food for thought)

It's possible she's not applying for PR and she's applying for naturalization then. Shrug. I don't know what's worse. It would make sense though because she tweeted about a Japanese name for herself and when you apply for naturalization they let you pick one to legally change your name. PR wouldn't make Miranda a citizen of Japan, it'd just give her the legal right that citizens have and let her live there. It wouldn't make her Japanese. naturalization would in her eyes though.  It reminds me of when her and I talked and she kept showing me papers and telling me she was going to immigration offices. Like, she could legit be lying about PR.

She is maybe just delusionnal.

And regarding being hostess, you don't have to be pretty to be popular there. Also, white girl ? they can get popular pretty fast if they can talk at least casually in Japanese because they look exotic to Japanese men and there is the whole fantasy of the gaijin girl.

Tbh, as much as we've had to hear Mira complain about the most mundane things such as people coughing on her and all of her Chikan stories, it seems that if this actually happened we would have already heard about it by now.

I feel like she just made up this story because her views have been really low lately as her travel vids have not been that popular and people are tired of hearing her rant about OMG HATERZ, RACISTS, etc.

it just sounds like the type of story one has sensationalized to sound creepy but also make her look good at the same time (as in OMG I'm so sexy and SO Japanese that old rich Japanese men want to hook up with me AND hook me up with their sons!!)

For the make-up, as long as you don't put your face in the water (which you shouldn't do anyway), it's fine. I have Japanese friends who do that when we go to public baths and then go drink somewhere. I do it occasionaly. It's just a waste of opportunity to cocoon your face but that's it.

Not tying your hair is a big no though. I have already seen some old lady scolding a young girl who had mid-length hair and haven't tied them. If you have short/long-but-not-long-enough-to-tie hair, you'd be suggested to wrap your towel around your hair.

Also it's forbidden to use a camera inside the baths. There is certainly no one in the baths so that's why she took the opportunity to film, but if a client had come at one point, she could have been severely scolded. Even if there's nobody it's better to ask the owner and most certainly they would either said "NO" or "Okay but state clearly it's exceptional". A lot of owners lately seem to be annoyed because a lot of people are taking hidden snaps of inside the baths without asking permission when it's clearly forbidden.

I want the image of someone walking in and K3 hiding the camera in her tiny hand towel and trying to play it off like she wasn't filming in there.  It's a hilarious image of her with those tiny hand towels wrapped around a camera-sized lump as she sneaks out naked.  ;)

Yeah, as people pointed out letting your hair touch the water is a big no-no.  If you have long hair you need to pin it up.

On a side note about her financials...

K3 lives near Tokyo right?  I saw the walkthrough of the apartment she currently lives in.  It's a pretty modern looking one.  ('cept for the kitchen which looks like the kind found in older ones).  Looks like an expensive one.

How K3 could afford her apartment without any subsidy and off only a waitress job and You Tube is a little mind-boggling.  Sugar daddy seems a reasonable explanation.

I wonder what part of Tokyo she lives near.  It seems like it's the Kanagawa side since she goes there for the beach.
