I personally like Ariana, but I'm familiar with the entertainment industry and I know some people in the industry who really do not like her. She had a concert in Vegas on New Year's Eve weekend and cancelled the night before. A friend of mine works at the Cosmopolitan (the resort/casino where she was going to perform at) and the staff in charge of that event were pretty annoyed. I know it's common for artists to cancel their shows over there (and it's typically forgiven if its well far in advance so casinos can settle everything early or plan alternate acts) but the fact that she cancelled the day before, and on one of the busiest weekends in Vegas in the year doesn't really sit well with me, considering hotels are pretty expensive for people that weekend.

(Someone submitted a tip to Crazy Days and Nights a few months back and said she cancelled because she took too many drugs, but since that site can be hit or miss, I don't really know if it's true.)

Apparently Ariana Grande teamed with starbucks to make a new drink... but it contains eggwhites. Fans are mad because Ariana says (? Cannot confirm dont follow that closely) shes vegan and for the animals.

Hey, at least Starbucks explicitly stated that the drink contains egg whites. Ariana is vegan, but does that really mean that the drink she teamed up with Starbucks to make needs to be vegan too? Not everyone is into that lifestyle, and I would think that most people who go to Starbucks probably aren’t vegan (seeing as many of the drinks contain milk). I  could understand people being upset if she was endorsing a steakhouse. But this was just her allowing Starbucks to slap her name on a new drink, because she’s always seen with some Starbucks tea or coffee. And I’m assuming they knew it would sell. And it’s just egg whites after all... idk is it really that bad?

I haven’t seen any angry fans, but I have seen fans saying the drink is really good so I’m gonna try to grab one.

I kinda doubt about her being vegan though. She was apparently spotted wearing fur coat while still claiming to be one and also partnered with Mac, who tests on animals.

She could simply be mostly plant based though.

Actually yeah, to say she’s plant based is more accurate than saying she’s 100% vegan. And that is basically just with her diet. Not most other things.

Long time lurker but first post. Irrc Starbucks still has straws in circulation even if they aren't producing them. They have to give them to customers to get rid of them even though most of the lids have been replaced.

I find it annoying when celebrities use ~veganism~ as a way to look woke... but quietly drop it without saying anything when they realise they can't go without their creature comforts.. :S

I doubt Ariana is 100% vegan. It's actually SO difficult to go completely vegan (with leather cars, shoes, toothpaste, etc.) and I'm not criticizing her. I think she took on this promotion because it fits her ~aesthetics~. She has a cloud tattoo, a cloud purfume at ulta, and now a cloud drink. At the end of the day, it's just a coffee.

I think what makes it bothersome(? Not sure the right word here) when celebrities present/say they're vegan then drop it or promote non vegan things is because they DO have the financial means and resources to comfortably maintain a vegan lifestyle without having to sacrifice much. It's definitely hard for your average person, especially when you're not the best off financially, to avoid all animal byproducts. But even as a non-vegan myself I find it hard to believe Ariana Grande would struggle to maintain getting vegan alternatives for everything. Obviously like others said with this drink it's probably just a name association, but it would have been a good opportunity to show a specialized drink that's vegan. (Hello PR team?? Lol)

It's definitely just adding to her list of her shadiness, presenting one way then doing the opposite. She needs someone on her PR team to filter her and make her stop and think sometimes before doing/saying stuff. The cracks just keep getting deeper

The problem is most of her fans probably just made the assumption that the drink is vegan and got/drank it without a clue about the eggwhites.

This opinion may be unpopular, but I believe it would be their fault for assuming it’s a vegan beverage instead of actually checking first.

I think your opinion is valid. Most people, including myself, like to make assumptions without checking the facts.

What I find odd and quite misleading is how she told her fans to try the soy version (instead of milk) and placed a plant emoji on her twitter post. Unless I'm reading the emoji incorrectly? I cannot comprehend emojis so please pardon me if this is true.
