do none of you have siblings? this is not even rude i mean i have to laugh

I mean, everyone's relationship with their siblings is different. I am not surprised that Kenna, in her high school arrested development, still treats her sister like a bratty 15-year-old. But considering how her excuse for being rude to commenters is that they're strangers and being presumptuous towards her, I thought at the very least she would be less acerbic towards her sister who she knows and presumably cares about and is different to her than some random stranger on her instagram...

Kenna... The only perdon to put dead flowers on the princess that's considered the princess of spring. Rapunzel is literally the opposite of her.

Well, now I'm questioning my impression because clearly not everyone sees it this way... but to me, it looks like Kenna sets up for some interaction - posts a photo with "clues" and asks people to guess based on the clues she gave. When her sister actually guesses, I read a sarcasm in Kenna's reply because of the "golly gee". This could be partially just me but I think we're all familiar with Kenna's "dry wit" at this point. It looks to me like she's actually rolling her eyes to someone for playing along with her clues/guess setup. But again, that's just me....

So no video?

tenor.gif

I'm sure she'll use the typhoon as an excuse for not doing another boring video shot at home.

Some new posts about Disney on her stories, so maybe she's finally doing a Tokyo Disney video? I've forgotten what she actually said she was going to do a video about...

not to be a dick or anything, but I'm going to play devils advocate here

I also have aspergers, and I've suspected Kenna to be on the spectrum for a while now

It's okay that these are your experiences, but no, having aspergers doesn't mean you must be really smart lmao

Sure we might be more likely to have a higher IQ, but that doesn't mean there's no aspies out there who have normal or even below average intelligence. You start this off complaining about the Sherlock stereotype and then go on to explain that she doesn't fit it so she can't be autistic, but you do, which makes you a spokesperson. (..or where you actually supporting the stereotype? I'm genuinely confused now. Either way, please stop gatekeeping a developmental disorder).

imho I think the diagnosis fits very well. I think it's important to discern that this doesn't mean she's not an asshole. I mean, people with autism also have personalities? She happens to just be a bitch.

I see a lot of symptoms in her (Disclaimer: I'm not a professional and this is strictly my opinion, I don't know if these are really her symptoms)

I'm going on a tangent myself so I'll stop here. Again, I'm not saying these are actually her symptoms, I just feels fitting to me and I wanted to provide a counterpart to "she can't be autistic because she's dumb and isn't into airplanes!"

Imma swoop in and answer here because we aspies just love discussing aspiness I guess lol

Two key points to getting the diagnosis (at least where I live) are:
1. average to high IQ. (So you literally wouldn't qualify for Aspergers if you're below average)
Altough it's typically not given out at all now, since it's been replaced with "Autistic Spectrum Disorder"

2, the more important one: A clinical suffering due to the symptoms. Kenna wasn't suffering, she just wanted to know why she's "quirky".
Also note that Kenna claims she's a level 2, requiring substantial support. None of the level 1 people I know functions as well in daily life as Kenna seems to do.

People think aspergers is just rainman, Sheldon Cooper or Sherlock, they're just a quirky and shy, but likeable and intellectual and superior person than everyone. People with aspergers do have a higher intelligence than normal, and that's usually the one thing they have that they cling to. Girls do have a better off chance socialising, but you're still gonna be that weird girl wearing the clothes she's had since middle school, you don't brush your hair and you never had a boyfriend, and you're obsessed with marine biology or airplanes or chemistry. Sorry Kendra, but you're not that smart. You're very, very average, and though you have creative skills, I can give you that, your style is different than what you see most anywhere, and you put effort into the things you post online, but you don't seem like a smart person at all. The meltdown thing is because you are a control freak and a big baby and want things to always go your way, and to reflect a positive light on you.

No one wants to admit they have narcissism, antisocial, bipolar or schizophrenia unless you're one of those super special tumblr snowflakes who has like, 50 diagnoses, it's always, bipolar this, ocd that, adhd this, OMG LOOK AT THIS RELATABLE ANXIETY MEME! GUYS DID i MENTION I HAVE ANXIETY? I'M A SOFT SNOWFLAKE SO PLEASE DON'T PICK ON ME EVEN IF I'M BEING A DINK.

I don't think Kenna is autistic too. But for God's sake, not all girls on autism spectrum are the same just like how no neurotypical girls are identical. Girls with autism can be interested in fashion, and people with autism can date just like everyone else. Being unable do these things doesn't make ones autism more "real". Sorry, but it just bugs me, clinging to these kind of tropes will only continue to get young girls go undiagnosed, just because they aren't weird enough.

You're kind of wrong it's called autism without language deficiency and intellectual disability so you can have an average IQ. The 2 points in diagnosis are repetitive behavior and trouble in social interaction.

Some research show that autistic people in general are likely to have average or above average intelligence, as @PULLIite said, but a higher IQ was never part of the criteria for Asperger's (when it was still an independent diagnosis). According to DSM 4, the only difference between autistic disorder and Asperger's is that people with the latter don't have any significant delay in language development (or cognitive development in general, minus social skills of course) - so basically just how severely their autism affects them. Thus Asperger's is now what you'd refer to as high-functioning or level 1 on the ASD scale. Otherwise the criteria/key symptoms are the same.

(And whoop @Nakimae just ninja'd me)

And the haunting screenshots are back
