I’ve got questions about this. She’s constantly complaining about having no money and nails like this are NOT cheap. I’m not sure if they’re press on or sculpted but if she got them done in a salon these are easily worth $140+. Most salons that do deco charge $10 per nail not including bass acrylic set price and I think the complexity of the nail art also increases the price.
I don’t keep up with Emily anymore because I think she’s overall kind of boring but does anyone else feel like her photoshopped pictures kind of favor Momoland’s Nancy? Not that it’s on purpose, but it’s just something I noticed.
I met him a few years ago at an industry thing when I was volunteering and he’s just kind of creepy with young girls like that. I was 20? Maybe at the time and he was fairly touchy but I was naive and flattered by it, lol. He is that way with any attractive girl but I think he is especially handsy with girls up to their early twenties. If you take a look at his following list, you’ll see it’s mostly 18-23 year old IG baddies and cute girls. He sometimes leaves thirsty comments on pictures though most of them don’t respond lmaooo. Overall I think he is kind of perverted but I haven’t heard of him actually stepping over boundaries. I hope he doesn’t try to take advantage of them. They seem desperate enough to be in the industry that they might find themselves in a compromising position with dfd if they really are friends.
I think she really could have used her platform to describe how it feels when the generic toiletries are given to people who are outside of the audience the toiletries typically works for. I understand where she’s finding from with the “hotel shampoo is for white people” because it is typically full of some kind of alcohol or drying agent and maybe it’s just me but whenever she “calls out” a problematic situation, it seems like she is coming from it in a self-centered way. It’s hard for me to believe her actions are genuine. I think she is trying to keep up a “woke” appearance which is why her rants come off so entitled. It doesn’t feel like she cares about the actual situation at hand as much as she wants to be regarded as a pillar of social justice. She just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Idk, Japan’s beauty industry has a thing for haafus so she might outlast what we expect unless a different mixed It girl shows up. That being said, they also seem to phase out women in entertainment really quickly and at a young age…unless you’re someone like Kiko. lauren is 20(?) now, I’d give her a few more years before she falls off unless she does a really groundbreaking campaign. I kinda want to see her experiment with her look!!
I used to follow her around 2013-2014. I saw her in passing once in Hong Kong, not sure of her circumstances but based on what I remember of her outfit she couldn’t have possibly been strapped for cash. my best guess is she was dating a Chinese (?) man named Rex when she initially moved to Hong Kong and I’m assuming he was rich which is why she was able to buy all of those clothes. She had a cute designer dog too but idk where it’s living. I stopped following andi after she started posting less but from the people I knew of that know her (a few mutuals!!) they never had anything bad to say. At least publicly. I don’t know her life like that but she seems like she might have thought that bouncing from one rich partner to another was the smartest move but Etta doesn’t have money after all. Also I’m concerned why Andi is in a relationship with someone so young. I understand legally the age gap is fine but it seems a little selfish…
I like Lauren a lot. I thought it was funny though how in terrace house she said she learned Japanese through watching TH with subtitles but in an interview about terrace house, she said she had never seen the show before she was on it, lol. In terms of her not having a specific “wow” factor I agree with that - be it her art or modeling (both I think are good, just not stand out yet.) but she’s still really young and maybe just hasn’t found her style or concept quite yet. Also I wouldn’t at all consider her unsuccessful…she’s constantly walking big shows and modeling for well-known brands. Personally, I would kill to have the opportunities she does. she seems humble and like she has a good head on her shoulders. I hope she does well and continues to improve. I think people like her deserve fame and recognition. I’m tired of it going to airhead instagrammers with no substance.
I agree though it’s kinda like beating a dead horse at this point. She’s on and off unemployed, isn’t even a little cute despite thinking she is God’s gift to Asian men, has terrible style and is pompous for seemingly no reason. she is my personal favorite train wreck but she doesn’t do anything lol
Just asking for opinions. :^) I agree they don’t look Japanese at all but I thought it was suspicious they’d have an Asian boyfriend that would be ok with their S/O lying about their ethnicity. That being said, I as a mixed person don’t look like any of my ethnicities so I was curious if other people have heard of this person.
I don’t understand why people want to identify as a different gender but continue to dress and act in the stereotypical way of their born sex. Like “men” who want to be called “she/her” but still dresses, talks, acts masculine. (?) Or “women” who go by he/him but present themselves as femme. i don’t hate or fear it but I am left confused about why they go by a different pronoun than how they seem, if that makes sense. I dont want to sound transphobic but I really don’t understand that bit.
yeah this is just too obvious. It doesn’t even look like he understands stroke order IMO. Also his handwriting is ABSOLUTELY that of a beginner. Even second year Japanese language students have a better understanding of writing than this. It’s also kinda bizarre to have the さ fully connected like that. Most Japanese speakers (I’m just a student, but myself included!) were taught to write with a gap so it doesn’t look too much like ち.
