Her coloring has really improved but I refuse to believe in the amount of time that she’s not been producing art that she now understand proportions and perspective so suddenly.

again, as others have mentioned here, I think the focus is less on the art and more on the lifestyle. I do believe if she had integrity about being an artist she wouldn’t so blatantly trace or transfer. It’s obvious to people who do art that the jump from her more recent pieces to these proportionally-sound ones that it’s unnatural.

She’s tracing it anyway, why does she need a model as a “reference?”

Maybe she doesn’t care about the lingerie because it’s from cheap sites like yandy and amazon. As for the manga, I don’t know a single soul who would treat theirs like that. I have manga I’ve been lugging around from move to move since I was 12 and I make sure they don’t get so much as a drop of water on them. I know it’s only $10, but if you’ve read and have a connection to the material, maybe you’d want to take better care of it.

She’s not dark by a variety of standards, but there’s still quite a bit of colorism prevalent in Filipino communities (hell, most Asian communities) and anything with a hint of brown can be construed as “dark.” It could have been her own family that was telling her to bleach her skin or stay out of the sun.
if she was raised around other Filipinos or Asians who were lighter than her, it honestly is likely she went through some bullying.

Oil dries slowly but not September to May slow. I also understand being in an art rut and not wanting to continue with a piece because you’re tired of it but I have to laugh at taking 7 months to paint a flat color for a background. As mentioned before, she overworks her subjects but when she does nothing ti the background…well it’s not the “contrast” and “juxtaposition” she thinks it is.
its lazy and tacky, and anyone with even an ounce of art training can see it as a cop out.  Again with color theory, this background color isn’t working. It the idea is to make the figures pop, the color here is doing the opposite

That poll is unofficial and not related to the actual results of the competition so it’s basically just fans going back and forth trying to garner attention for the candidate they like most.

I can vouch as a follower for a long time that she had posted Instagram video stories of her at the places she traveled to. Not saying that the images she’s posted are real, but I do believe she’s been to those locations.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently problematic about her. I used to really respect the way she advertised herself and she presented herself as really humble.
these days, as mentioned, she mainly brags, RTs weird self-serving praise and quote RTs small accounts who disagree with her. I don’t like the bragging, I think it’s unbecoming and after constantly “humble” bragging it just transitions to regular showing off.
i DO think she’s worked hard. She is a hell of a marketer. I’ve honestly never seen someone promote themselves to a scale that she has. It is impressive. But when you amass a large audience, you are bound to get criticism.
And when you get criticism, especially from a nobody account, it comes off as desperate and insecure to send your hundreds of thousands of followers to attack them.

At Alyssa’s level, she could easily block them and move on. A small group of 10 disliking her is nothing in comparison to the 700k combined twitter fans she has. It’s bullying to send almost a million people to a comment no one would have otherwise seen. I’m not down with that behavior. Not that I’m the social manner police, but it’s unprofessional, scream insecurity, and is all around tacky.

She quoted this tweet that at the time, had 1 like, no mention of her at all and from an OP with less than 200 followers

I believe she’s pan, but she was in a relationship with a guy for years. They used to post each other all the time. It’s possible it was an open relationship or she was dating a girl at the same time, I’m unsure. She probably keeps it vague intentionally but I also feel like that part isn’t entirely my business.

I definitely believe so. She seems like she is probably a nice person, just insecure for whatever reason and dealing with that by boasting online because people find her hot and *different.*
read: instagrammable, well-traveled, weeb, body goals
I believe she likes anime, art and video games. She just seems to lack idk…passion? Depth? And I’m not sure if that’s because of the way she presents herself online but her interests don’t seem more than 2 dimensional. Like previously mentioned in the thread: no WIP pics, no discussion on the anime or games she likes, just “watch One Piece” and a selfie with some art in the bg.

I think probably all she does is a slight pout and some overlining with makeup. Her lips are naturally plump so I don’t think it takes much for them to look much bigger! I’ve never seen such minor surgery, if it is that but I want to say she’s just figured out her beauty tips.
To me, she doesn’t seem to have work other than her implants. She might have just found styles that work to her advantage! I also think her nose is naturally like that. She is friends with Snitchery afterall.

At this point she’s an influencer point blank period. She hasn’t posted new art in ages, or even talked about creating. I’m sure she does love art but I think she knows the majority of the attention is because she’s hot and I honestly don't think she minds that the attention is on her rather than her work.

It’s not too difficult to find a gallery to host your art, especially if it’s non-prestigious. I’m sure she did a fair amount of research to find somewhere that would host her OR there was a fan of hers as a curator and asked if she’d send her art to the gallery. It didn’t look like anything impressive.
Also, part of her ~luxury lifestyle~ might have come from living at home, not having to pay rent or utilities, and saving up the money she did make from art. If nothing else, she’s great at marketing her brand.

OT but lime crime is owned by different people now! KVD is still…herself.

I’m conflicted on Rin because I liked this so much until I was so put-off by them the other day. I understand that being attacked by a lot of people is hard to ignore and typically warrants some kind of response but taking nearly an entire week to be shady about it…public figures are humans too but I think there’s a point where your image gets affected after responding to hate so much.
if you really don’t owe an explanation, why are we still talking about it
