Hello. It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a PULL FAQ! In this FAQ you may find answers to most commonly asked questions here on the site. Please make sure to read the FAQ before asking a question in the Site Feedback (formerly the "Make Your Voice Heard") subforum as chances are your question has already been answered. If it has not been answered, then feel free to ask your question within the thread or make a new one with your question. The FAQ can be found in 2 locations: The News & Announcements section and the Site Feedback section. We hope this helps current and new users. Thank you.
I don't think her features look that different in the first and last pic. The main thing is that her toothy smile in the second photo is pretty unflattering and she lightens and smooths her skin a lot. She should learn to apply foundation better, because she looks pretty crusty unfiltered.
From what was posted, Knite didn't get angry and replied fairly politely, which is all I expect from internet personalities. There's nothing wrong with deleting rude comments: it's not a right to have your comment on someone else's photo. Them being an internet personality doesn't change anything; it's not like having a lot of followers stops you from being annoyed by harassment. Since Knite has stated publicly before that they edit and they've participated in Deerstalker videos, I don't read this situation as hiding the fact that they edit.
She should dispute the DMCA with youtube rather than talk it through with Nami. It's clear that Nami did the claim vindictively and isn't planning to take any blame. Since the DMCA is false, if she disputes it youtube will likely put the video back up and remove any strikes. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/2797454?hl=en
I've only seen these from the lolcow thread sadly.
From what I remember, Zeal's original post was a PSA saying something like women should be careful and protect themselves (this was after a sexual assault incident or accusation happened, I believe). Mei's post was saying how people shouldn't be "victim blaming" and guys shouldn't be assaulting people in the first place. Zeal's response was something along the lines that she wasn't victim blaming, and even if guys shouldn't assault people, it was foolish to think that people weren't going to and girls should make sure to protect themselves anyways since the world isn't an ideal place. I forget what the rest of the back and forth was about because it was pointless.
It’s been stated previously in the thread, but Zeal and Mei used to be best friends, then had a severe falling out to the point where they wouldn’t associate with each other at all. Although Zeal and her were no longer on speaking terms, they still had each other on Facebook, and Mei took offense to something Zeal had posted. Mei then vague posted talking shit about Zeal’s post, and Zeal replied in kind (vague posting back). It went back and forth, with Mei’s friends joining in and vague posting about Zeal’s post as well. In that vein, Mei has a history of ruined friendships and went through 1 set of best friends per year (having dramatic fall outs with them each time). She was also known for being hard to work with and petty, so exactly how she’s been portraying herself in this situation with Karen. In the earlier days of her youtube channel she was constantly talking bad about her fans on Facebook. After a few of her statuses were screenshotted, she quickly deleted her account.
I agree with what he said. Mei was the one who decided to go public, she should be able to apologize publicly as well. They don't owe her anything to keep it to DMs when Mei didn't have the courtesy to DM them herself in the first place. Mei's "apology" is making it all about herself and using "defending a friend" as an excuse to justify her actions. In her statement, she doesn't actually apologize once. I can't imagine if someone else like Kenna had posted that type of "apology" that people would be defending her.
Didn't they say that she apologized through DM? I'd be pretty miffed too if I supposedly worked something out with someone through DM with an apology, then they pulled a 180* and posted that type of non-apology excuse on their story instead.
Yikes Mei, what a bad look. It’s super tacky of her to think that such a basic concept is her original do not steal ideal, but at the same time I’m not all that surprised since this was the same type of petty attitude she had back in the cosplay community. People don’t change, I suppose.
Frankly, this type of vibe and look is a dime a dozen and I've seen tons of basic Asian IG girls with the exact same type of pictures and fashion. I don't see anything particularly unique enough to say that she's being copied.
