    • Clarifying How To Use the Report Feature   06/29/20

Hello. I have noticed a great deal of confusion regarding how to use the report feature and what is expected regarding reports, so I am making a clarification announcement to users who may be unfamiliar with how the report feature works. Please note we have this rule regarding reports: 16.  Do report. Do not make frivolous reports (such as "I don't like this person"). Frivolous reports will result in a warning and possible ban. a. When reporting, please give a reason. Reports citing what rule the post is breaking and giving some information are way more valuable and will get the issue resolved faster. (Reports with no explanations sometimes require mods to go through and skim the entire thread to find out what's going on. Please save us time if you can). b. Don’t waste the mods’ time. Report people for breaking the rules, otherwise don’t report. [Rules in their entirety can be found here.] We also have a wonderful tutorial on how to use the report feature created by one of our former moderators which you can find here. In essence, we enforce the rules as they are written. In a rare occasion there may not be a direct violation but the user is still conducting themselves inappropriately and how we handle that is up to the moderators discretion. We do our best. We also encourage you to use the report feature to report posts that have been edited down to nothing or if you double posted and would like your double post hidden. Also, please note that we do not provide updates on reports. We get far too many to be able to keep up with every one. You are welcome to message a moderator to ask about your report, but please know that we cannot and will not divulge any information on whether we banned the user you are reporting. Simply that we have taken appropriate action. I hope this helps provide further clarification on how to use the report feature. Should you have any questions not clear in these instructions, please feel free to message me or Nyx. Thank you. *Please allow up to 3 business days (as we tend to be slower on weekends) for a response and for reports to be cleared.
    • Pokimane Graduation   07/05/20

Hello. Pokimane has been given her own Subforum in the Little Snowflakes section. This change and other minor site changes have been made and can be found in the site changes thread here. Thank you.
    • Reputation Has Increased!   07/06/20

Hello. You have been asking for it and it is finally here. We have increased the number of reputation given in a day from 25 to 50. We will see how well 50 works out and if that is enough. Please continue to provide feedback and we will reevaluate as needed. This change has been added to the site changes thread located here. Happy repping. Thank you.

In her Instagram stories, she talked about wanting them for three years...but I've never seen her talk about them ever. I mean, I could have missed it (granted, she did pad out the girls in some pics), but it all seems so sudden for someone with such a big social media following. Again, nothing against titty upgrades to business class. Her attitude about it really rubs me the wrong way, with how she says it was so easy. It's elective surgery with so many things that can go wrong, especially post surgery. Ah well.
Irrelevant update: she said it wasn't sponsored, and honestly, I respect that a lot more than her usual attitude.

So, she's getting breast implants...no shame in that, but I wonder if this will be sponsored like every other YouTuber who goes down the plastic surgery route.

It's already established she's somewhat smart - she was in marketing. She's made a career out of carefully cultivating her features to appeal to pre-teens and teens. It doesn't make her a good Youtuber. And on that note, can we not use education as a measure of smartness? Just because she did well in school doesn't make her a better person.
Not to mention, depending on speciality, you can't stay at the same hospital every year for fellowship training (e.g, neuro). And the brutal reapplications that occur, regardless of chosen medical profession and hospital, every year (as I'm sure you're very familiar with). I've already expressed my doubts over Max being any kind of doctor beyond GP, but hey, maybe he was in plastics. Or maybe ortho.

As for the growth of Wengie's channel...good marketing or buying subs...hard to say. I always thought she bought subs, but maybe there's just a lot of kids who like Wengie...

There's a collab video between her and Jenn/clothesencounters coming out soon...only because they have the same manager. Otherwise, forced enthusiasm and "WWWWOOOOOOWWWW" from both sides!

Regarding Kenna's aesthetics...I wonder if she'll go full Audrey Kitching.

I have a few things to say on this whole fiasco.
It's exactly like the old days of LJ and RPS - fetishizing homosexual relationships and projecting it onto straight men (MCR, FOB, P!ATD, etc). That was huge 10 years ago (not to mention, LOTR and the actors). While fanfiction, having been around for many, many a decade and launching many careers of valued writers, it's still different to the behaviour I saw on LJ, and see in Kenna. Why is it so disgusting nowadays? She's on a public forum. I bet, if half the fans who wanted Gerard Way/Frank Iero to get it oooooooooooooon did YouTube, it would have been a disaster and a half. The fact that she's so open about something so... demonstrably false, is incredibly concerning. Yeah, it continues with One Direction, and whatever new boy bands are up and coming, but I've yet to see someone with her audience and social media presence blabber on about Frank Silva and Kyle MacLauchlan getting it on.
Her perceived 'gay' in BTS is nothing more than skinship, and that's a thing. It's such a normal cultural thing. It's not even a homosexual thing - it just indicates closeness of friendship. My friend links arms with me and is very touchy-feely, but is she gay for my bomb-ass pussy? No, she's my goddamn friend, and happens to behave in such a manner because it's part of the culture she grew up in. The sooner Kenna realizes that, the better.
She can stay the fuck away from Brown Eyed Girls and MFBTY everyone else I liked has disbanded....

It's not a matter of liking Chelsea Handler - I don't disagree with you on her one-note jokes galore, but in terms of female comedians getting to where they are today. A better example that I wanted to use would be Marc Maron, but this is about female comedians.
You've reminded me of Caroline Rhea, and I realize I haven't seen her stand up in years! I also love Chelsea Peretti - especially when she was on the Kroll Show.

It's really disappointing when you have people like Chelsea Handler, who have worked so hard to get where they are, supporting people like Amy Schumer. Side note, I'd rather watch someone like Margaret Cho, who is actually funny and pushes boundaries without being overtly offensive (which isn't the right wording, I know).
I just...hell, even compared to Ilana and Abbi of Broad City, she falls short of being funny, and instead, as @PsycadelicHooters said - she's more along the lines of Adam Sandler, or Rob Schneider. Unfunny, outdated, cheap humour.

When you present yourself (and personality) to the public, there are always going to be people who don't like you, agree with what you say or do, and that's perfectly fine and reasonable. You can't please everyone, etc, and it's incredibly foolish to get hung up on that. We as an audience are entitled to our opinion, 100%.
You're right, no one's said anything truly hateful, so his ego can't be that fragile that he needs his adoring fans to constantly stroke it. This is a discussion board, and it's definitely better/nicer than a lot of other ones.

    @halfmoon @starrysky thanks, guys!
Honestly, with the way she acts, I truly would not have expected her to only be a few years younger than myself. But hey, she's so super successful and so super talented and popular, and here I am, on a YTer discussion board.
I'm really satisfied with the work I do and my life overall, so y'know. Wouldn't trade that for a half-assed personality.

I thought she was born in 1990, but apparently (on IG stories) she's turned 23...? Are they taking the piss, or is she really only 23?
Michelle fuckin' Phan, on her high horse...how quickly she forgets that she's a bully, and there's many, many receipts. Doesn't matter how much you 'rebrand', it's hard to polish bullshit. They're both so fake (and fake-deep) it hurts.

Yeah, on her Instagram live, she did her makeup, looked completely unenthused, listened to BTS and addressed very few questions related to her brand. But she did answer a NON BTS question about her clothing brand - it'll come out at the end of the year, or next year, and it will be all in-house...no sweatshop for Karen! As a result, expect not Forever21 prices (I imagine it'll be similar to Poprageous). Also, Leo really irks me. His attitude is so...not flippant, but he clearly thinks he's better than Karen's fans. I wonder if he still lurks.
I bet her 'obsession' will last only a couple of months. There's only so much she can go on about it, right? ...Right?

She's been doing it for months - I kept calling her out on it, and she occasionally credits now. Fucking hell. I'm glad other people are starting to notice.
Have to say, she's incredibly bad at giving credit for almost anything.
Any thoughts on her latest obsession with BTS?

I'm guessing her Shu Uemura contract may have ended, as she hasn't promoted their new products. And they're available in store now. Unless it's still going...because I'd love to see how she tries to promote an $85 brush to her followers.
the brush is really nice though, and the new range is superb, and of better quality than I was expecting. shut up let me justify my purchase and future purchases.
