    • *NEW* PULL FAQ   07/11/20

Hello. It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a PULL FAQ! In this FAQ you may find answers to most commonly asked questions here on the site. Please make sure to read the FAQ before asking a question in the Site Feedback (formerly the "Make Your Voice Heard") subforum as chances are your question has already been answered. If it has not been answered, then feel free to ask your question within the thread or make a new one with your question. The FAQ can be found in 2 locations: The News & Announcements section and the Site Feedback section. We hope this helps current and new users. Thank you.

There was the Kiera Ashley posts earlier in the thread from a Twitter Sock.

He's also got a bunch of sock puppets on Reddit. A user messaged me a while with all these usernames and they checked out. Similar Cake Days, all promoting Shamisen, his own posts etc. He seems to have deleted a few - possibly the ones whose emails he had attached or remembered passwords for, but some are still up. You don't have to believe me when I say the posts whose accounts have been cleansed were his, but I got this second-hand and saw all the posts. The messages were from well before Christmas, but 2020 really just be like that, huh.
user/spioke                        Cake day: June 29, 2012    (still active 05/06/2020 - posts intimately about Shamisen)
user/TheJapanRants         Cake day: June 29, 2012    (still active 05/06/2020 - we have proof JPR was run by Norm)
user/nnakamura                Cake day: June 30, 2012    (posts have since been deleted)
user/757575yay75            Cake day: July 4, 2012        (still up 05/06/2020 - was doubtful but in the same string of Cake Days)
user/shatoshi                    Cake day: July 5, 2012        (still up 05/06/2020 - same Cake Days, posts about a home gym, comment on spioke post and JPR. Will attach screenshots)
user/sittinathome2day      Cake day: July 5, 2012        (posts have since been deleted, same cake day, has karma proving previous post)
user/fkthsht                      Cake day: July 5, 2012         (only one comment but same cake day, about Japan)
user/omg-no-names         Cake day: July 5, 2012        (posts have since been deleted, same cake day. Has Karma, proves previous posting)
user/allabout7s                 Cake day: July 6, 2012       (still up 05/06/2020 - same cake day string. Posted on JPR comment. Lots of lies but Norm has been proved to be a liar about his length of time in Japan and experience in previous comments)
user/abibibi                       Cake day: July 8, 2012      (posts have been deleted, same cake day string, has karma)
user/omalala                     Cake day: July 8, 2012      (still up 05/06/2020 - similar to some JPR twitter posts whinging about why girls have broken up with them in Japan - heavily downvoted lol)
user/ssn3                          Cake day: July 8, 2012     (posts have been deleted, same cake day string, has karma)
user/thenewmeoldyou     Cake day: July 10, 2012     (posts have been deleted)
user/justshocked             Cake day: May 21, 2013     (still up 05/06/2020 - links to a blog by JPR about abusive cops in Asakusa which everyone in the comments rips him out.)

A few interesting screenshots below which also sound like how TheJapanRants would talk about women. Mmmmmmm mmmmmm misogyny!

Culture note: when they say "your Japanese is good" it means they're impressed you're trying but you still sound like a beginner. If they ask how long you've lived in Japan, you know you're at an intermediate level.

So, Kelly, your nihongo ain't as jouzu as you think.

Akihabara always has them around for tourism because they're an easy way to appease weeb tourists while getting rid of dead stock.

In her last video she said she has to wait to get two full period cycles IIRC before they'll implant. They'd just had a successful retrieval of 29 eggs but once fertilised ended up with 8.

I like that Jenn keeps this kind of stuff real, and sharing her fertility struggles is really cool of her. Despite criticisms of her that I have, I genuinely think she's nice, she has a solid group of friends, and she's so ready to be a mother it's cute seeing her interact with her friends' babies. She's also really chatty on her Instagram too.
I MASSIVELY appreciate that she's been hard on the Social Distancing front at the moment too.

Nothing different to kids having to learn English spelling since it has so many rules and exceptions. Kanji takes YEARS. They learn maybe 200 a year. Kids can't read and write so effortlessly. You ever sat in a Kokugo class and seen the kids who can't write Kanji? They're just as prevalent as kids that can't spell in English.

    Holy internalised Biphobia, Batman.
Kissing girls and kissing boys and kissing anyone non-binary/genderfluid (don't use the word trap, ew) is still cheating, or not cheating depending on your relationship. Gender has nothing to do with it.

  10. kurukurupaaaa added a post in a topic Taylor R - videos #2

This is her first Birthday without her Grandpa, and so when she called her family this birthday she noticed his voice missing the most.
She talks about making one of her goals this year to get into therapy. She doesn't have any "big" problems but she is always having dreams about her Grandpa, and she mentions that mental health is important because usually her goals are physical.
She says that one of her goals last year was to have a baby but that's not how babies work. She said looking back having a baby this year wouldn't have been good for her physically or mentally and that when it's the right time the baby will hopefully happen. Not that there's a "right" time but there is a time better than now.
Her goal with TOAT is to design her own stuff because a lot of the suppliers in Asia don't have a variety of sizes in good quality and she wants to provide good product. She spent some of her day updating her website.
Tom got a fancy new coffee machine and has been practising latte art and great coffees. She says seeing him finally pursue something he's been talking about (he wants to take a course on latte art and it seems like he's been practising a lot) makes her want to do something like take a sewing class since she likes artsy stuff but it is always a bit dubious in quality.

I'm really happy Taylor talked about getting therapy and that it's easy to set goals for your physical health but forget about your mental health too.
And I would really be interested in what kind of fashion she'd design if she hits that goal. I'm glad she addressed that she's been getting feedback about the lack of bigger sizes.

Just a short post today, but I have a few things brewing. Thanks to the people who have been reaching out in the DM's.
In this video, Norm just "happens" to go to a Nikon museum.
Without disclosing that he is indeed sponsored by Nikon.

    Tut, tut, tut.

I have a feeling she works for one of those companies where students sign up for a time slot, and she gives her availability. Because some days she says she's "working late" and getting home around 8pm.

"I don't remember saying it so it's hard to say why i said it ... i prob just snapped bc i was lonely."
Sounds exactly like the Narcissist's Prayer in action.

Ben's pretty okay with it though, plus his hand usage is different to hers. It's good to get different people wearing her polish. If he wasn't, he wouldn't appear on his videos. He says they've bonded over it.
I like that video where they talk about him wearing polish. While he'd never choose to wear it himself he says he feels like where they live in Canada, nobody would be outrightly rude to him seeing him wear polish, maybe just surprised, and that masculinity isn't tied to not wearing polish - if he wanted to wear polish (or put makeup on) then he should be able to do what he likes. Being masculine means being nice to others and really, that's just being a good person and not masculine.
