We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Holy internalised Biphobia, Batman. Kissing girls and kissing boys and kissing anyone non-binary/genderfluid (don't use the word trap, ew) is still cheating, or not cheating depending on your relationship. Gender has nothing to do with it.
This is her first Birthday without her Grandpa, and so when she called her family this birthday she noticed his voice missing the most. She talks about making one of her goals this year to get into therapy. She doesn't have any "big" problems but she is always having dreams about her Grandpa, and she mentions that mental health is important because usually her goals are physical. She says that one of her goals last year was to have a baby but that's not how babies work. She said looking back having a baby this year wouldn't have been good for her physically or mentally and that when it's the right time the baby will hopefully happen. Not that there's a "right" time but there is a time better than now. Her goal with TOAT is to design her own stuff because a lot of the suppliers in Asia don't have a variety of sizes in good quality and she wants to provide good product. She spent some of her day updating her website. Tom got a fancy new coffee machine and has been practising latte art and great coffees. She says seeing him finally pursue something he's been talking about (he wants to take a course on latte art and it seems like he's been practising a lot) makes her want to do something like take a sewing class since she likes artsy stuff but it is always a bit dubious in quality.
I'm really happy Taylor talked about getting therapy and that it's easy to set goals for your physical health but forget about your mental health too. And I would really be interested in what kind of fashion she'd design if she hits that goal. I'm glad she addressed that she's been getting feedback about the lack of bigger sizes.
Just a short post today, but I have a few things brewing. Thanks to the people who have been reaching out in the DM's. In this video, Norm just "happens" to go to a Nikon museum. Without disclosing that he is indeed sponsored by Nikon. https://www.nikon.co.jp/corporate/museum/information/ Tut, tut, tut.
I have a feeling she works for one of those companies where students sign up for a time slot, and she gives her availability. Because some days she says she's "working late" and getting home around 8pm.
Ben's pretty okay with it though, plus his hand usage is different to hers. It's good to get different people wearing her polish. If he wasn't, he wouldn't appear on his videos. He says they've bonded over it. I like that video where they talk about him wearing polish. While he'd never choose to wear it himself he says he feels like where they live in Canada, nobody would be outrightly rude to him seeing him wear polish, maybe just surprised, and that masculinity isn't tied to not wearing polish - if he wanted to wear polish (or put makeup on) then he should be able to do what he likes. Being masculine means being nice to others and really, that's just being a good person and not masculine.
Reina Scully doesn't have her own thread but I think she classifies well enough as a J-Vlogger considering she lives and Vlogs in Akihabara
Usually I like her content, but for the things that a lot of people complain about Joey and Aki doing (their obsession with hentai) they never seem to complain when Reina is obsessed with hentai. At 8:20, for about ten seconds, she posts a completely blurred out part of her video, which says SORRY, and then LOL NOT SORRY. "Sorry about the sudden Hentai shit that I showed. I blurred everything alright, you can't tell what's going on." You don't need to add it into a vlog. Jesus.
TBH I'm not even mad at the rooms Aki has designed. Though there's definitely no more room for more stuff and I'm sure a bunch of it is in cupboards, it doesn't seem as cluttered as I thought. However, them tiddies on the wall? Pure class.
At 10:50 she says she's possibly looking at hiring an editor in Sydney for 2-3 days a week. It will be paid. She says that her schedule is so full and she needs someone to edit videos and help with editing and taking photo shoots for Instagram. If you don't necessarily have those skills she is willing to teach them. She went to Japan last week for a client, and is going again next week for a client. This is the reason she also hasn't been uploading to her main channel.
Yeah she works at an English School / Eikaiwa of some sorts. And T seems to have a typical office job. She does seem like an awesome friend. She's always so invested in her friends and gives updates on Sarah and Mary, she's still hanging out with Loretta, Taylor B. Ariana just moved away but their friendship looks tight. It's always a good sign when all the other Jvloggers seem to have fairweather friends otherwise.
I thought it was really interesting to see the insight of how much adsense she gets each month. On a normal month she gets between $100 - $170. For Vlogtober she's getting around $350. I am impressed that she does Vlogtober every year. She's more consistent than other JVloggers, with way less Adsense AND a real job. If anyone on the JVlog scene does deserve more subscribers, it's her. I have a problem with Fast Fashion. But I do appreciate that she seems to reuse her seasons and isn't as notorious for waste as others. I would love to see different Japanese brands and how they fit on Western frames. Things like Moussy or Ingni that I've seen on her in the past actually really suit her better. But also, you popped off like crazy. This is a gossip site.
Jen is the absolute personification of a basic white girl who has enough money to spend six hundred dollars on clothes in a single video when she has a ridiculous wardrobe already, plus she's always going to GU. I don't mind her vlogs, but man, girl has privilege, or a huge credit card bill.
