Hi all, I paid the server bill for the month so the site can be archived, sorry for the mess, didn't realize there'd be such an uproar. The site's in read-only mode. Happy archiving. Here's a link to a user-made PULL discord server: https://discord.gg/vZFEm75
They were already clingy late 2017. Jennie facetimed Irene for her birthday in March 2018. I wouldn't say it was a sudden thing. A fan took a photo of them having brunch once lol. I'm not really a reveluv but I know that Irene is clingy af with Wendy and Seulgi. I agree with the performative affection a bit though. I've noticed Jennie always zooms to Irene during an encore instead of bowing to other idol groups. It's the same every time... you see eachother every week. I wouldn't say it's Blackpink. It says the idol group hasn't filmed a proper cf before, and Blackpink have. Kbank, KIA, Samsung, Guess, Sprite, all of their Olens stuff, solo cfs, etc. When I read knetz comments people always praise Rosie for her proportions and visuals. Also aren't Blackpink considered world stars by Korea anyway or am I bugging. They're a top group anyway. Imo it kinda fits Gfriend more about the descriptions. Yuju being the 'below-average visual' vocal, she was gone from activites for a month in 2018 which nobody knows why. Idk much about them though. Edit: Oh wait, from the comments in the site they say it might be G-Idle? They have solo cfs but I cant find a group one before April. The group one came out in June.
Ofc we know its a scripted episode. Not every movement is gonna be scripted down to a T. Maybe Lisa had a bad experience with being shouted at before by an instructor, management, member etc. Or maybe the scriptwriters told Lisa to have shaky hands after Jennie plays her part as the director after getting macaron dropped on her. idk Anyway Jennie's shouting had me shook when I first watched it. Maybe she'll get pushed into acting next
That was misinterpreted by a whole horde of armys eager to convince themselves, and shove down peoples throats that they are happy with their oppas dating. Their obsession with pushing their facades of being okay with it is so fucking weird. He said he wanted to be a special person to armys. And this happened on his birthday as well. Like... we get it.
I'm interpreting it the way I did because she said she shaded her face until it got really dark, having dark lines on her skin (this was directly after). And the show editing pointed to her cheekbones specifically. Knowing Bros ep. This means to me she's talking about her dark contour, not general skin colour. Maybe I'm taking it completely the wrong way but I can't see the reference to whole skin colour in that segment.
In Knowing Bros, Lisa brought it up and said they called her a monkey because of the way she shaded her face. Monkeys have sunken cheekbones. She specifically brought up a TV show in which Kang Hodong (MC) shades specific parts of his face to look like a monkey. She explained it in the show. It wasn't about skin colour, but facial shading. Jisoo mentioned that they like to call her monkey because she always uses monkey emojis and loves monkeys herself in the interview in the 3rd pic, this was cut out from the tweet. What someone might view as offensive from an outside perspective, would be completely normal inside a friendship group. With the way that Jisoo and Lisa interact with each other, I honestly doubt that it is done with malicious intent. Those screenshots are out of context.
One of the main reasons why Blackpink doesn't go on variety shows that often, is that apart from Jisoo (bless her because she tries) the group just doesn't have the synergy for variety. It's unfortunate to see their lack of schedules, and it's only been a few weeks since the HYLT release. Let's look at other groups. Seventeen, BTS, Got7 etc I'm not diehard fans of them. But I've seen snippets of their shows and the contrast between them as a whole versus what Blackpink serves is so different. They are groups who gained fans through variety appearances, their personalities are appealing and unified and that's what provides a strong fandom versus the akgae situation which threatens to tear Blackpink apart. Yes, maybe you can say they are boy groups so they get away with being loud and boisterous. Then what about Mamamoo and Twice? Even SNSD? When I was a Once who watched all Twice content 2016-2018, I never remember them once having a boring vlive or variety show. There's something about them that helps them bounce off each other's humour codes. I couldn't feel anything forced about their dynamic. Even radio shows during the music break they were always talking, unlike Blackpink who have awkward silences and I could see the visible tension between some of the members (it was mainly Jennie's energy which threw off the dynamic). Correct me if I'm wrong but the last time there was an ot4 variety was Idol Room in 2018? Their company stopped pushing ot4 just months before their second anniversary. Jennie seemed to shine individually, crying on Running Man and acting like an uwu baby on Michuri did enough for her to capture the spotlight.
I get that this is a cash grab aimed at their mass amounts of SEA fans, but um...? This for girls who don't exactly promote the most healthy of beauty standards. I'm still trying to figure out the logic myself .
