Hello. It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a PULL FAQ! In this FAQ you may find answers to most commonly asked questions here on the site. Please make sure to read the FAQ before asking a question in the Site Feedback (formerly the "Make Your Voice Heard") subforum as chances are your question has already been answered. If it has not been answered, then feel free to ask your question within the thread or make a new one with your question. The FAQ can be found in 2 locations: The News & Announcements section and the Site Feedback section. We hope this helps current and new users. Thank you.
I hope they keep him as the pervert ghost in Ghost Stories, that was a very back-handed and intentional casting choice there that is still comedy gold on how he didn't realize that was about him. Maybe he was in denial then?
Oh, you are such a sweetheart. I hope it doesn't scare off those who came forward-but that is likely the intention. Intimidation and retaliation are shockingly common. Sexual harassment in the workplace when reported sees retaliation 70% of the time according to an article I read once. It's why survivors, regardless of gender identity are often afraid of coming forward. Several who came forward about this particular case mentioned they were expecting retaliation and their careers to be ended, especially as Vic is good friends with the CEO of Funimation. (Who has since left the company for unrelated reasons.) I suspect people knew he was leaving as this sort of thing is planned months in advance, so they felt more empowered to step forward. That maybe Funi would do something. Or Sony. Sony did in fact order a private investigation, which is why Vic got fired. The old leadership couldn't protect him anymore. I am just so relieved it's all out now. Unrelated: I feel sorry for the journalist who wrote about it. Almost all the comments are from Vicstains.
He's a doofy, weak tool. Don't give him the credit of getting under your skin. He does shit to minors who don't know any better because that's the only way the dumbass got away with it for years without cops getting involved. He'll probably be in Punk City should he go to jail. (My ex was a felon. He knows all about those things.) Protective Custody would be necessary as even hard men in prison have a real disgust for people who are pedophiles or took advantage of young kids and teenagers. I doubt he'll see jail at this point. I can hope that some women file reports once this farce of a suit is over who are still within the statute of limitations-and they are longer if it happened to you as a child. It's a dear hope but a vain one, I'll admit.
What they don't know is if there is a smoking gun out there, they're never going to see it. The police and Casey for this case or other cases at this point will be the ones who will have it so they can use it. There's a reason lawyers say no comment. Also judges aren't stupid. They are very often very smart if overworked people for the most part.
I had heard as young as sixteen. I had no idea it was THAT young. I feel sick, just reading it. Those poor girls. Those poor parents. I wish they'd pressed charges. After a bit of Googling? Holy shit. Those girls are still within the statute of limitations. The girls involved can press charges still.
Those people live in an alternate reality. Don't let this get to you. This world's also a world with things like people who came forward to bring justice to those who thought they got away with it. And a credible candidate in the US wants to cancel all student debt. There's kindness and compassion as well as all this ignorant, cruel noise. It's not as bad as it looks as long as people fight.
