I have long spidery old lady piano hands with big knuckles. It can't really be helped. There's very little you can do about it short of getting filler in your hands, and who cares enough to do that? Waste of money and totally pointless. No one outside of PULL and lolcow cares how your hands look. It's kind of silly to even discuss her hands, which cannot be shortened or fattened by choice, when there are so many things she has chosen to do to her face/body. Her hands don't look bad to me. Not on the level of my hands anyway.
I actually don't get this sense from her. I was surprised that she stayed in HK for the notoriously hot & humid summer despite the protests. Additionally she chose not to say anything about the protests, which is her right and perhaps best, but it made for a weird situation. She lives in a city rocked by tear gas and violence and is filming all the gifts companies send her. OK then. "But her work!" No, she barely worked at all during the summer. Like next to nothing.
So in this situation, I would not blame her or anyone else who wanted to leave HK or China because of the virus outbreak. I am surprised she's still there. Sure, perhaps it is being blown up by the media, but if I had a house in Canada and I wanted to get pregnant, I would go there for a couple weeks and let things settle before heading back to HK. Tay has demonstrated how stupid she can be when it comes to concepts like medicine, following (real) doctors' or vet's instructions, and hygiene (remember her long hair touching food while cooking, Rosie licking cake she was eating on camera, not washing her hands after dealing with something dirty). Chinese traditional medicine is not going to help her acne or coronavirus. She should leave because to her, selfies are more important than safety. But anyone who wants to leave China or HK temporarily because of this virus should not be shamed. That's a personal decision. Btw she did a collaboration with Blair Walnuts about traditional Chinese medicine. She claimed it helped her in a bunch of different ways. Weird that she won't say this on her own channel. I also doubt it had any effect.
The articles are barely literate. Here is the opening of the one about mindful eating during the holidays: "FOOD IS A BIG PART OF MANY HOLIDAYS TRADITIONS. IT'S THE THING MOST PEOPLE LOOK FORWARD TO (MYSELF INCLUDED) BECAUSE IT BRINGS A SENSE OF COMFORT, MEMORIES, AND FAMILY/FRIENDS TIME. AS YOU CURRENTLY MAKE YOUR WAY THROUGH ALL OF THE MENUS AT RESTAURANTS, HOUSE PARTIES, OR YOUR PERSONAL FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SNACK COLLECTION AT HOME, HERE'S SOME SIMPLE TIPS TO EAT MORE MINDFULLY." There are errors in every sentence.
In other news, Tom and Taylor bought a new coffee machine. In Europe, this machine costs between €4650 and €6000, depending on the finish and perhaps some other features (I'm not a coffee person). Tom is "into latte art" now.
I wonder how she feels about being so heavily edited in a makeup ad. Does she think that's a good way to sell makeup, to show how it looks on real human skin? This isn't a minor amount of editing. Was the makeup itself edited too? I've never seen her face look like this. The bone structure is completely different. But I guess as long as it makes money, right?
Have you guys seen how defensive she is in her comments? I have screenshots of them; this is just one example. They photoshopped her to look Korean imho. It's incredibly unnatural and kind of offensive. She looks like a computer-generated face.
I never said she had to say anything about the protests. Don't you think there are other ways of supporting HK or the world that don't involve politics? I can think of many. Donating blood, clothing, food, or water isn't political. The protests and unrest in HK affect people who work there, elderly people, homeless people, students, children, animals. But Taylor's silence and PR boxes, her selfies and her "lifestyle zine" tell me all I need to know about her concerns. And before people say she never discussed serious stuff: she kind of did, a little. When it was profitable for her. I suppose it is harder and harder to have respect for someone who has all the resources in the world, with very few responsibilities, but whose volunteer/charity work is almost non-existent. This great business of hers = recycled photos and blog posts cobbled together from old videos. I noticed she took the cringey videos of her mom visiting Tokyo down, since she spent a chunk of the time taking her mom to big chain shops and doing timelapses at Starbucks.
The free stuff and gifts are completely obnoxious. Two apartments, money to spare, no real job or volunteer/charity work, but look at what these companies give her. It's nauseating.
imagine if Taylor took a stand against the trend of rich people getting free things by paying the companies for these products imagine if she donated their retail prices to a charity imagine if she up-front told us she donates a certain amount or percentage to a charity every month or year imagine if she went to volunteer somewhere every week or even month imagine if she had an opinion on something, and not just because it's trendy imagine if she and her husband - who contribute to impossible beauty standards - funded surgery for people with cleft palettes or established a place where low-income HK people could receive free clothes for interviews imagine a Taylor who was not so obsessed with herself, and everything that Taylor could do it's a shame
She herself made a huge deal out of her "gluten intolerance" (her words, not mine) UNTIL she decided to capitalize on interest in HK food and do a Bourdain-esque series. People in her life had to constantly cater to her gluten-free diet (special restaurants, meals, etc ) and so it seems like a smack in the face to see her eating gluten on her channel without any disclaimer. It is a little like her vegan phase (when she called milk "another animal's pus" and eggs "periods" in a derogatory way, and then ended up eating those very things with abandon). It is weird and hypocritical. I don't care what Taylor eats. It is the fact that people catered to her special diets until she just decided to stop them. I'd like a video on her alleged gluten intolerance, honestly. Does it come and go?
She's doing this to try to dispel botox rumors. She's too dense to see how it confirms those rumors x1000. It's frozen in her forehead, around her eyes, between her eyebrows. Barely any lift when she tries to raise her eyebrows. I'm not sure what else she's had, but minimum she has had those placed thorough frozen. I don't care what she does to her face, but her pretend honesty mixed with heavy cosmetic procedures to stay "young" rubs me the wrong way. She'll tell us about her wax and gyn appts, but not botox and fillers. ooookay then. I've never heard about anyone getting embarrassed about a bikini wax, but most people don't feel the need to vlog it, I think. (I've never done it lol - do ppl vlog them?)
Here's a link to the hideous white sneakers: https://www.selfridges.com/GB/en/cat/gucci-flashtrek-leather-suede-and-canvas-trainers_690-10004-2469110109/ Gucci, currently £705 I guess the ugly Louis Vuitton Archlight Trainers (£1000 now - not sure what they retailed when she bought them) were no longer in fashion.
She has the luxury of not caring about the situation, so walking the fence in a vague "oh how sad" state really annoys me. It's a little like how Trump said there were fine people on both sides of a white supremacy rally & the people who protested it. Do you remember when she suddenly cared and got sad because a guy shot up an Ariana Grande concert? That was during her Ariana skinwalking phase, so she had to talk and cry about it. Nevermind all the other things going on in the world, other shootings, stabbings. Shooting at a white teen singer's concert? Have to react appropriately. #relatable #thoughtsandprayers #lifeissoshort #especiallymydogslife
I don't really care if she talks about politics. I find this kind of posting sort of fake though. That's all. She doesn't need to discuss the intricacies of it, but her few words and reactions are so frustratingly vague and empty. Last time, a bear with a broken heart ("it's hurting again"); now the broken heart emoji. What does that even mean, Taylor? This is about freedom and violence and tyranny and many other things: why post as if someone broke up with you or you're missing a friend? It's so weird. People have been injured and have committed suicide. This reaction to it is baffling.
I wonder why they are in HK at all in the summer. If I had both Canadian and HK condos, I'd be in Canada for the summer, absolutely.
I'm so sick of her addressing huge world issues like this. She doesn't want to take a stand or have an opinion on what's going on, so she posts an exhausted emoji paired with a broken heart. "HK, I'm sad. Why? Well it wouldn't be good for my popularity if I said why. So just accept my vague trite emojis." It would be better if she didn't post anything than to post things like this. It actually infuriates me. This is calculated. Look, fans, Queen Taylor addressed the situation by not saying which side she's on. But oh, how heartbreaking it is!!
I just meant things like, "I can't wait to take my kid to the zoo" or "I'm looking forward to our first Christmas with a kid" or something. But ultimately I was pointing out that unlike some of the comments imply, she has shown interest in buying clothes for kids in the past, and she even has something in her closet for a future kid. I'd rather discuss anything else pertaining to her, honestly. so we agree!
I don't even have an IG and I have to roll my eyes at all the free stuff she gets. As if Taytay can't buy her own makeup and oat milk. The rich get free stuff; they do literally nothing to get richer (Taylor is honestly a terrible promoter). This phenomenon starts to really grate on me. But that's IG 'influencer' BS, I guess. I can't wait for the whole platform to collapse under its own corrupt and selfish weight. I wish Taylor would take a stand against this kind of culture, since she doesn't need the free products or the money, but she's too vain & attention-starved. It must be great to get boxes of makeup worth $500 while producing no content whatsoever. Moreover, none of this stuff is good for her acne-prone skin. She had the right idea in the beginning: cetaphil, basic dermatologist-recommended products. Oil-free stuff. She needed an eye cream, but her early skin care videos were OKish. Then she got sucked into promoting skincare while simultaneously being "real" about her acne struggles. Why not go to acne.org or reddit or makeupalley and try a recommended program for a few months? You can't shill for benefit or random skincare while having horrible breakouts!
Imagine how many old bottles of foundation and skincare she has lying around. It takes me forever to finish a jar of moisturizer or bottle of makeup, and I wear both most days.
Taylor has pointed out kids clothes before, and she even bought a little dress (iirc). She showed it in a really old vlog. She always buys stuff for the kids in her life (and honestly sometimes it felt like "too much" - a toy just for a visit, giant cupcakes for a toddler). But OK. That said, she has only ever been interested in the "fun" material aspects of providing for a child. I've never heard her talk about what she would want to do with a child or what dreams she has for children.
I respect your opinion, but I don't want Taylor or Tom anywhere near underage or young adult models. Taylor is far too insecure and jealous and airheaded to run an agency anyway.
Both of these people are awful role models. Tom's businesses are totally OK with sexualizing very underage girls and infantilizing women. Taylor is fully in support of him. She's done nothing but deflect and use logical fallacies to excuse what his businesses have done. Taylor herself normalizes disordered eating and BDD, listens to Goop unironically, and expects a tea to cure her hormonal acne. She spreads misinformation about birth control. Hops from one trend to the next. She can't forget the time she went through puberty and spent 6 months with a few extra pounds AS A CHILD. Her one dream was to become a model, so she lost weight and became a model, yet she disparages her bodyin every video. Both Taylor and Tom throw away money like there's no tomorrow. Have we really forgotten all of that? If she started a modeling agency, would she expect them all to be her paid friends, like Natalie? Would she advise them all to ~follow their dreams~ despite the fact that they are from poorer families and have no financial safety net? Would she recommend they start dating a Tom, too? That's the source of most of her work, after all, and her lifestyle - the basis for her youtube channel. Have you ever seen Taylor in one of her videos with someone who looks undeniably better than her (based on her own twisted rubric)? No. Or if she does, she makes sure that person is not the focus. There is a reason for that. Remember when she did Natalie's makeover? It was a mess. Taylor made sure she looked cute and dolly, instead of focusing on Natalie and bringing out her beauty. Remember Mimei's birthday party? In every photo, Mimei is hidden in the back, barely visible. I know there is some drama regarding Mimei but i i rerely felt bad for her when i saw the video and photos. All these jvloggers preening and eager to make money off her birthday, hogging the camera lens. No one seemed to really care about how Mimei felt or what she might like.
Taylor is only concerned about herself. She will never open a business focused on finding new fresh talent, because she has a complex about her own talents. I'm having a hard time thinking of talents she actually possesses. She used to be able to pose, I guess. Hair arrangement? cooking? But i don't think she invents recipes...
