We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Yep, his site still has ridiculously underage girls featured on it. Also, here's an article where the author openly speculates about the age of legal consent and all the sex an 18yo has had before turning 18: https://menclub.hk/mobile/article/article.php?cat=girls&aid=23281 So, no. Nothing has changed.
This picture is so gross. I'm sure she agreed to it or wanted it, but it feels weird to look at someone posing for a selfie while coming out of sedation. I know it probably was not predatory, but it sure has that "feeling" when I look at it.
Sorry, I have endometriosis (diagnosed via surgery), so her misinformation about it bothers me a lot. I'm not yelling at you. I just can't stand people who spread wrong information about it. Same goes for Taylor's ignorant statement about ovarian cysts - nothing will stop a woman from having a functional or follicular cyst unless she doesn't ovulate.
I know I sound crazed, but imagine having a painful life-long condition and hearing someone ignorant spread myths about it from her Youtuber platform. If there had been some other non-invasive way to know I had endo, I would have done it. Instead I woke up after over 4.5h of surgery (planned length of time was 1h) and immediately asked if they found anything, because I was terrified I had gone through a needless surgery. It took so long because there was so much to remove. And then I (a student)had a hefty medical bill for all the extra anesthesia and dr consults needed during my surgery. I would have gladly had some "painful dye test" to confirm diagnosis before having 11k surgery. Pushing dye through the uterus makes no sense either - endo implants can be anywhere - on the abdominal wall, on intestines, on ovaries... They are uterine tissue that has implanted elsewhere.
So just forgive me for hating her ignorant comments; that part of it is personal. She could also learn to pronounce the condition before assuming she has it.
Endometriosis cannot be diagnosed with any kind of dye test. Usually, it must be diagnosed via exploratory surgery. If she had endo, they eould have seen it during her surgery for untwisting her fallopian tube. And if you don't believe me, here is a link to the mayo clinic, where they discuss 4 methods of potentially diagnosing endometriosis. None are painful except surgery: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/endometriosis/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20354661 Pelvic examination, ultrasound, and MRI cannot diagnose all forms of endometriosis. It depends where the implants are. Ultrasound can tell if you have cysts, but not whether they are Endo cysts. Yes, I heard her haltingly, hesitatingly say she seems to have PCOS. She is still being frustratingly vague about it, because I'm not sure why she cannot clearly say she has been diagnosed with PCOS by a dr. She told us all about her poop very clearly and proudly.
Sorry, this is so weird. They didn't even try consistently for a year (there were many periods of time where she told us specifically that they are not trying!). If Taylor had legitimate medical issues, she would tell us. I feel like she wants to immediately be successful at conceiving and not wait; it is exactly how she approaches everything. She wants to get pregnant during a global pandemic. ooookay.
When did she go there to pick anything out? She says in her video about setting up the business that she was sent samples. It's not like the supplier of her clothes have brick-and-mortar stores. She went to Korea but I don't think she did anything there for the shop side of toat. Just visited cafes. I can't be bothered to skim through those videos again though.
Me too. She's absolutely terrible at being a spokesmodel for these things. She doesn't review them. She puts them in stories, and the stories disappear. It makes me so angry to see her just get sent gift after gift and to do nothing with them. We rarely if ever see swatches. We never see any evidence of her using the products, but she opens them all so she isn't giving them away or donating them. It's such a terrible waste. Companies sucking up to rich people ad nauseam. She's never been an influencer, and she shouldn't start - she's horrible at it. How much makeup and skincare does this acne-riddled person get sent each week? How much does she even use? She has an orgasm over every PR package to the point where it's just sickening to watch - sort of like watching someone waste food tbh. There is a way to work PR packages into a more holistic public persona, a persona that would use these packages to give advice to followers or review the products or talk about ethical/health aspects of the products. She does none of these things. She probably does not even use them. I only know Drunk Elephant (which everyone knows is overpriced - The Ordinary called out their ridiculous prices in an advertisement in 2018) through these dumb PR packages. Has she ever talked about using it? Back when she was in kawaii mode, she seemed to go through foundation so fast - I started wondering if she was being offered money to promote new foundations regularly (Charlotte Tilbury was one of them). I have a theory that a lot of her kawaii-period posts and videos had hidden sponsors (she made a comment once about how her YT manager helped with sponsors and people were surprised because she had never disclosed any). I think the laws during those years were not as strict, and it's possible different laws applied in Japan/HK (so she was not required to disclose). Sorry, I'm in a really bad mood, but as a society can we please stop adoring people who do nothing with their money and privilege except buy more useless things, who don't even have an opinion on world events, let alone advice or wisdom about them? Can we stop passively letting these people acquire fame and followers? Taylor could do some very simple things to rehabilitate her general image, but she doesn't want to do them, or is too stupid to do them.
toat is pretty dead, too. Have you noticed all the "sold out" items (what a joke) and virtually no reviews of any product anywhere? Red flag. I wish someone would review her actual site, which is a web designer's nightmare.
I have long spidery old lady piano hands with big knuckles. It can't really be helped. There's very little you can do about it short of getting filler in your hands, and who cares enough to do that? Waste of money and totally pointless. No one outside of PULL and lolcow cares how your hands look. It's kind of silly to even discuss her hands, which cannot be shortened or fattened by choice, when there are so many things she has chosen to do to her face/body. Her hands don't look bad to me. Not on the level of my hands anyway.
I actually don't get this sense from her. I was surprised that she stayed in HK for the notoriously hot & humid summer despite the protests. Additionally she chose not to say anything about the protests, which is her right and perhaps best, but it made for a weird situation. She lives in a city rocked by tear gas and violence and is filming all the gifts companies send her. OK then. "But her work!" No, she barely worked at all during the summer. Like next to nothing.
So in this situation, I would not blame her or anyone else who wanted to leave HK or China because of the virus outbreak. I am surprised she's still there. Sure, perhaps it is being blown up by the media, but if I had a house in Canada and I wanted to get pregnant, I would go there for a couple weeks and let things settle before heading back to HK. Tay has demonstrated how stupid she can be when it comes to concepts like medicine, following (real) doctors' or vet's instructions, and hygiene (remember her long hair touching food while cooking, Rosie licking cake she was eating on camera, not washing her hands after dealing with something dirty). Chinese traditional medicine is not going to help her acne or coronavirus. She should leave because to her, selfies are more important than safety. But anyone who wants to leave China or HK temporarily because of this virus should not be shamed. That's a personal decision. Btw she did a collaboration with Blair Walnuts about traditional Chinese medicine. She claimed it helped her in a bunch of different ways. Weird that she won't say this on her own channel. I also doubt it had any effect.
The articles are barely literate. Here is the opening of the one about mindful eating during the holidays: "FOOD IS A BIG PART OF MANY HOLIDAYS TRADITIONS. IT'S THE THING MOST PEOPLE LOOK FORWARD TO (MYSELF INCLUDED) BECAUSE IT BRINGS A SENSE OF COMFORT, MEMORIES, AND FAMILY/FRIENDS TIME. AS YOU CURRENTLY MAKE YOUR WAY THROUGH ALL OF THE MENUS AT RESTAURANTS, HOUSE PARTIES, OR YOUR PERSONAL FAVOURITE CHRISTMAS SNACK COLLECTION AT HOME, HERE'S SOME SIMPLE TIPS TO EAT MORE MINDFULLY." There are errors in every sentence.
In other news, Tom and Taylor bought a new coffee machine. In Europe, this machine costs between €4650 and €6000, depending on the finish and perhaps some other features (I'm not a coffee person). Tom is "into latte art" now.
I wonder how she feels about being so heavily edited in a makeup ad. Does she think that's a good way to sell makeup, to show how it looks on real human skin? This isn't a minor amount of editing. Was the makeup itself edited too? I've never seen her face look like this. The bone structure is completely different. But I guess as long as it makes money, right?
Have you guys seen how defensive she is in her comments? I have screenshots of them; this is just one example. They photoshopped her to look Korean imho. It's incredibly unnatural and kind of offensive. She looks like a computer-generated face.
I never said she had to say anything about the protests. Don't you think there are other ways of supporting HK or the world that don't involve politics? I can think of many. Donating blood, clothing, food, or water isn't political. The protests and unrest in HK affect people who work there, elderly people, homeless people, students, children, animals. But Taylor's silence and PR boxes, her selfies and her "lifestyle zine" tell me all I need to know about her concerns. And before people say she never discussed serious stuff: she kind of did, a little. When it was profitable for her. I suppose it is harder and harder to have respect for someone who has all the resources in the world, with very few responsibilities, but whose volunteer/charity work is almost non-existent. This great business of hers = recycled photos and blog posts cobbled together from old videos. I noticed she took the cringey videos of her mom visiting Tokyo down, since she spent a chunk of the time taking her mom to big chain shops and doing timelapses at Starbucks.
The free stuff and gifts are completely obnoxious. Two apartments, money to spare, no real job or volunteer/charity work, but look at what these companies give her. It's nauseating.
imagine if Taylor took a stand against the trend of rich people getting free things by paying the companies for these products imagine if she donated their retail prices to a charity imagine if she up-front told us she donates a certain amount or percentage to a charity every month or year imagine if she went to volunteer somewhere every week or even month imagine if she had an opinion on something, and not just because it's trendy imagine if she and her husband - who contribute to impossible beauty standards - funded surgery for people with cleft palettes or established a place where low-income HK people could receive free clothes for interviews imagine a Taylor who was not so obsessed with herself, and everything that Taylor could do it's a shame
She herself made a huge deal out of her "gluten intolerance" (her words, not mine) UNTIL she decided to capitalize on interest in HK food and do a Bourdain-esque series. People in her life had to constantly cater to her gluten-free diet (special restaurants, meals, etc ) and so it seems like a smack in the face to see her eating gluten on her channel without any disclaimer. It is a little like her vegan phase (when she called milk "another animal's pus" and eggs "periods" in a derogatory way, and then ended up eating those very things with abandon). It is weird and hypocritical. I don't care what Taylor eats. It is the fact that people catered to her special diets until she just decided to stop them. I'd like a video on her alleged gluten intolerance, honestly. Does it come and go?
She's doing this to try to dispel botox rumors. She's too dense to see how it confirms those rumors x1000. It's frozen in her forehead, around her eyes, between her eyebrows. Barely any lift when she tries to raise her eyebrows. I'm not sure what else she's had, but minimum she has had those placed thorough frozen. I don't care what she does to her face, but her pretend honesty mixed with heavy cosmetic procedures to stay "young" rubs me the wrong way. She'll tell us about her wax and gyn appts, but not botox and fillers. ooookay then. I've never heard about anyone getting embarrassed about a bikini wax, but most people don't feel the need to vlog it, I think. (I've never done it lol - do ppl vlog them?)
