    • Be a moderator! & Reports Announcement   03/07/19

We're aware that PULL needs more moderation and attention, so we're actively looking to expand our mod crew! If you're a regular user and intend to stay this way, then rest assured that we're working on improving PULL for you. In order to do this, we rely on user reports, so I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to report posts you think break a rule, disrupt discussion or shouldn't be allowed.  There is absolutely no concern over getting too many reports - we get a handful of reports per week. More reports would be great because it helps us figure out how our users want the forum to be - leaving criticism in threads doesn't make it easy for mods to find your opinions. Furthermore, don't worry about being a "snitch" or too harsh - a report doesn't mean action will be taken, that's up to the mods. A report really only tells us to look at the comment and to gauge the community atmosphere. Often times, peer pressure or established community atmosphere will dictate the direction a thread takes, and criticizing certain posts can be uncomfortable or downright futile when the majority disagrees with your view. This leads to groupthink and degradation of thread quality because the loudest/most active users get their way. So reporting is a way to quickly and anonymously (to other users) give feedback to the moderators. If we don't get this feedback, we think everyone's happy and there's no need for change. So use this feature as much as you'd like to help shape PULL into a more constructive community again. If you'd like to be a moderator: Click here for the application form.

Monica's Tweet wasn't gross or anywhere near it. Lol! It's not like she said anything graphic or specific about her sex life.
Yes, Claire's pics are very MySpace-esque.

What are the Standers trying to accomplish by doing this? Bring more harassment onto the survivors/victims? Monica Rial has already had enough of that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Standers twisted this into a situation that made no sense.

I wonder if he's trying to cover his ass. Or make himself seem better than he is.

    As of late. I didn't understand some parts of ThePedanticRomantic's Twitter post and I don't know what happened in the AnimeGate situation which seemed to occur pre-KicVic if I'm not mistaken. If I am mistaken then that is what it is. ^^;

I'm really confused about what's going on now. If someone could PM me and explain the situation that would be helpful.

That is so heart-breaking. I feel awful for NJ4K.

Why am I not surprised?  I don't think I wanna know what Rekeita's going to do with all of that money.
When my friend from IRL defended Vic during my phone conversation/debate with her, she defended the accusations of him getting drunk at cons even though I never brought that up; nor did I know about the accusations of him getting drunk at the time. She claimed that he doesn't drink.
Any advice on how to deal with friends who are pro-Vic? I love my IRL friend, but she can be very ignorant about the media representation of minorities (she's white and a Christian, so she's from two dominant social groups in the U.S.) and I'm pretty sure she's still pro-Vic.

God, Rekeita is such a fucking asshole. Why won't he just shut the hell up or stop typing?!
I feel for the girl you know who was a survivor/victim of rape.

Vic stans are desperate to make Jamie look bad. They already did that by taking one of her replies on Twitter out of context.

What happened with Jamie? What's going on?

I wonder if she came across the story through an entertainment news article. She replied to my text and said that she couldn't remember where she read or learned about it.
Thanks for being so nice and not jumping on me about this situation.

I'm not sure which news show my aunt saw it on. Maybe she stumbled across an article online? I can't quite remember, but I could text my aunt and ask her about it. I just remember feeling surprised that she had heard or read about the allegations; neither of my cousins (so her children) are into anime and I might be the only person in my family who enjoys anime.
ETA: The news source might have been one that reached a wider audience like you said. If I'm wrong about this story making the national news then I'm wrong. And I'm sorry. I'm not trying to spread misinformation, I promise.
