    • Be a moderator! & Reports Announcement   03/07/19

We're aware that PULL needs more moderation and attention, so we're actively looking to expand our mod crew! If you're a regular user and intend to stay this way, then rest assured that we're working on improving PULL for you. In order to do this, we rely on user reports, so I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to report posts you think break a rule, disrupt discussion or shouldn't be allowed.  There is absolutely no concern over getting too many reports - we get a handful of reports per week. More reports would be great because it helps us figure out how our users want the forum to be - leaving criticism in threads doesn't make it easy for mods to find your opinions. Furthermore, don't worry about being a "snitch" or too harsh - a report doesn't mean action will be taken, that's up to the mods. A report really only tells us to look at the comment and to gauge the community atmosphere. Often times, peer pressure or established community atmosphere will dictate the direction a thread takes, and criticizing certain posts can be uncomfortable or downright futile when the majority disagrees with your view. This leads to groupthink and degradation of thread quality because the loudest/most active users get their way. So reporting is a way to quickly and anonymously (to other users) give feedback to the moderators. If we don't get this feedback, we think everyone's happy and there's no need for change. So use this feature as much as you'd like to help shape PULL into a more constructive community again. If you'd like to be a moderator: Click here for the application form.

I can't take it as a joke. Yet another point to add on the list on why I should not subscribe to Shane Dawson.

He uploaded LWIAY today. Last I checked the subreddit r/PewdiepieSubmissions was down. It was probably previously filmed.
Do you think Pewds will make a statement on video? Maybe he'll just be making his usual content, let the focus on him fade away?

There are so many of them. I only knew Gabrielle DeMartino. She was the one on the thank u, next video. Now this thread name-dropped two. And they actually... They actually evolved their styles to keep pace with Ariana's style evolution. I hope jesschic grows a personality. The first video i saw when I searched her up was "spilling ariana grande tea" while she was straightening her hair. And then I go onto her channel and see her own 7 rings video. And then I click a video of her and Gabrielle (they look so much alike kskwejjdjdj but Gabi doesn't look as Ariana-like there ??) and she squints like Ariana and uses a reaaaaaallly high-pitched voice.
It's weird. I was 14 when I went through my Ariana Grande phase but all that just gave me practice on winged eyeliner and tying my hair in a half-pony. The latter ended when I started cutting my hair short. And they're grown... Why are they still doing this...

Why are people saying "you're doing what the shooter wanted" when people are commenting on PewDiePie's name being used by the terrorist?
My knee-jerk reaction was something along the lines of who cares what the hell the shooter wanted. People were murdered. A famous YouTuber's name got dragged along. They will comment. What's the problem there?

He shouldn't be held accountable over the shooting incident, but he definitely needs to reach out/at least try to control his community more. I have a friend whose humor is the whole edgy memes shit, and when I first encountered it I told him I can't understand how it's considered funny. Apparently I'm a ~normie~. He goes on to say it's all ironic, he doesn't really say slurs irl, and he doesn't believe that racism is justified and all, and anyone who does take it seriously is a normie. I think it's lost on him that actual people that believe that shit are on the Internet. The whole point of dark humor goes over the heads of a lot of people. They're radicalized online.
Pewds should realize how big of an influence he actually is. Just dial it down, Felix.

Have you guys seen his new palette/collection, Blue Blood? It looks great. I can already see the Instagram posts with "cool for the summer" captions lol

  8. dewberry added a post in a topic What's some poets, journalist, novelist that you like?

Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Gillian Flynn, Michael Crichton. I think Michael Crichton stuck after reading Jurassic Park when I was young. I'm more into my country's literature now though. #supportlocal. Nick Joaquin, F. Sionil Jose, Conchitina Cruz. I think you can find Joaquin's and Cruz' (she released a pdf of her poetry!) online if you are interested.

I have no idea what I look like. Sonetimes I feel like I look good but it never matches up to how I see myself. I spend weeks avoiding mirrors at times. Biggest insecurity is probably my teeth. Being neglected by my parents also meant neglected dental care and man is that shit expensive.

Sometimes I wish all this glaring evidence of how she's problematic didn't exist. I don't think she'll ever respond properly, either, aside from passive-aggressive tweets. A video of her Broadway vocals evolution popped up on my recommended on Youtube, and it showed so much of young Ari! I also went to her Twitter and saw her revealing her curls growing out, and it's like the ghost of her young self was haunting me lol. I was brought back to the time I was so amazed by this girl. I'm not saying I want the "old Ariana" back, because that usually refers to her clothing choices, etc., and her maturing is great. Her brand and style is awesome. It just brought me back to the time I stanned her hard and she still.... looked... white... with full vocals and amazing diction and making stunning covers but also silly impression videos or funny videos with the cast of Victorious. The donut incident, Mac Miller's death and Manchester hasn't taken a toll on her yet. No tanning to hell and back and Japanese bbq grill on her hands. No pettiness on Twitter. Not yet. Her Victoria Justice and Jeannette Mccurdy feuds came later. I was still scoffing at rumors of her being a "diva." Just, I wish I could go back to my ignorance and feel the same magic when hearing her sing or watching her perform 😭 Why does she have to pull shit every other day

Her kissing herself out of self-love just doesn't make sense with the song lmao so. The queerbaiting issue holds water. Maybe they knew it was already going to be disliked and answered with that kind of concept for PR purposes? Tweets were circulating around when she released the tracklist that it's funny how she'd be able to get away with the kind of song break up with your boyfriend, i'm bored, is, but Taylor Swift writing about her exes built a bad reputation because of it.
Why not just execute the concept better? Avril Lavigne, and Taylor again all played characters as themselves on mvs (Girlfriend, You Belong With Me.) And that was playing the evil character. Would've worked just as fine Ariana playing the other Ariana, just styled different with the guy.
Also, that petty tweet... WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ARIANA AHAHWHRJ

It's weird that they left the family secret edited in. I watched the Wired Autocomplete questions video with the Try Guys a while back, and when the "what is eugene's family secret?" came up, he replied that "of course you wouldn't see that on the Internet!" But what can you expect? I think it should just be left alone, but they did dangle the family secret over the audience's heads instead of just being edited out. All I read about it was  that it was about miscarriages. If it is the part-Japanese thing, though, maybe it has something to do with his mom or grandmother being a comfort woman?  I remember seeing that on the comments, too.

All right. Long time lurker; I finally made an account just for this. I've been a fan since 2009 and recently just got bored with her music and fed up with her problematic issues. C: I've been looking for a discussion place for her for a while.

I'm only three songs into the new album but I can say it's better than Sweetener, thank God. break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored is... forgettable. It's supposed to represent self-love in the MV, but the lyrics don't match the whole concept. I didn't like 7 rings much, but that was stuck in my head on loop after listening to it once.
