    • Be a moderator! & Reports Announcement   03/07/19

We're aware that PULL needs more moderation and attention, so we're actively looking to expand our mod crew! If you're a regular user and intend to stay this way, then rest assured that we're working on improving PULL for you. In order to do this, we rely on user reports, so I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to report posts you think break a rule, disrupt discussion or shouldn't be allowed.  There is absolutely no concern over getting too many reports - we get a handful of reports per week. More reports would be great because it helps us figure out how our users want the forum to be - leaving criticism in threads doesn't make it easy for mods to find your opinions. Furthermore, don't worry about being a "snitch" or too harsh - a report doesn't mean action will be taken, that's up to the mods. A report really only tells us to look at the comment and to gauge the community atmosphere. Often times, peer pressure or established community atmosphere will dictate the direction a thread takes, and criticizing certain posts can be uncomfortable or downright futile when the majority disagrees with your view. This leads to groupthink and degradation of thread quality because the loudest/most active users get their way. So reporting is a way to quickly and anonymously (to other users) give feedback to the moderators. If we don't get this feedback, we think everyone's happy and there's no need for change. So use this feature as much as you'd like to help shape PULL into a more constructive community again. If you'd like to be a moderator: Click here for the application form.

Thanks... although this is exactly why I did NOT write this on PULL in the first place, because the conspiracy theorists use PULL to twist words, context, and meaning, because now they're claiming I doxxed someone when I didn't.

He did not disclose this before making the GoFundMe, but Nick already knew Ty from many years ago. He orchestrated the whole connection between Ty and Vic in the first place.

Yikes, is this publicly documented anywhere else?

Yes, depending on the con and how valuable they think a guest is, they can absolutely cater to a +1 guest badge, if requested. I'm sure there is every possibility that, if they were considering pressing legal action for having initially dropped Vic from their roster for the weekend, it wouldn't have taken a lot of convincing to allow Ty to also have a comped badge.

Off topic, I know, but perhaps my favorite Texas dude that has several years of history screaming into a camera that I'd see on TV when I lived in San Antonio was Jim Adler, who went from "The Tough, Smart Lawyer" to "The Texas Hammer".

You can sue anybody for anything. You just have to ask whether or not it's frivolous. If considered frivolous, the judge could dismiss it.

A person COULD be sued for saying "This thing DID happen" rather than allegedly or maybe or "I heard" happened, but one would have to prove that it was a deliberate and known lie. For example, if they wanna go after me, I in no way believe that anything I retweeted was a lie. I believe these people, especially the more notable public figures who spoke up, 100%.

It's come up time and again, from my understanding, over the course of a handful of years. Again, I'll just state for safety that that's just what I've heard, and I can't prove that.

Figured I'd just link directly to it here so that I can directly cite the source. Mind you, anyone else scoping the thread from the outside already hates ANN, so take it for what you will, but you can't really change the words out of Vic's own mouth.

ANNCast - Down with the Vic-ness
Things of personal note/opinion: It's not a perfect podcast. Vic dominates the episode. I wonder if he came off as being a bit intimidating, because the other hosts largely end up just letting him talk and talk and talk and they hardly get a word in edge-wise. Feels like Vic knows this and controls the piece. Hosts give very little push-back. At brief moments when it seems like Zac gets brave enough to push back on certain topics, Vic's demeanor begins to crack, and he gets a bit more aggressive, to the point where I almost don't blame the hosts for not wanting to push back anymore. It's an INCREDIBLY uncomfortable thing to listen to.

He didn't "predict" anything. He knew for years his colleagues didn't care for him. You actually listen to that ANN podcast and take it into context, he's telling them he already knew. So the more recent updates from him saying, "I had no idea", that's... funny, because he deliberately said years ago that he was VERY aware.

Hey, can anybody tell me what the original source for the information about Toei being upset with Funimation is? Who was the very first person/source that stated this?

Wait, why are we talking about parole officers?

He "ordered" me to stop tweeting about the topic in the first couple of weeks. When I asked him under what authority, he said something to the effect of, "The authority of the anime industry", of which he does not work for.
