We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
She's a really talented artist but I had to unfollow her because she would always get into some sort of argument with people and it would go on for days instead of ignoring it. I think she might just have very poor money management skills, iirc her relationship with her family is kinda hectic. She did say that her mother was constantly asking money from her and having a hard time saying no. Something I'm kinda curious about is her breakup with Hakuku, they used to date and posted pics together all the time and then it gradually stopped. She mentioned something about leaving a toxic relationship a few months later so I'm wondering if this is about Hakuku 🤔
It looks very similar to this official render of Squall. I'm gonna try to overlay it later, it's not 1:1 similarity like the Tseng one but the area around the eyes look very fishy.
Edit: just noticed this weird outline around the chin. I really hope it's her badly applying the texture on the fur and not straight pasting the face and forgetting to fix it. If you look closely, there's also an outline under the chin onto the neck. Maybe it's a new shortcut for her now, considering her huge workload.
Sorry not sorry but Alma deserves the backlash she's getting. She didn't need to put them on blast to her 80k followers just because she expected them to completely change their style in a week and they didn't deliver, that's just unrealistic lol. You can't copyright a neon pastel palette and a coloring style that's already really common among kawaii/anime artists.
Kpop stans twitter have no self-awareness or something. People wouldn't think they're so annoying if they actually learned to mind their own business instead of responding to every trolls out there thinking they're so clever when replying with fancams. It's funny how they jump on every opportunity to cancel a western celebrity and say 'X is over party' but when their idols do something problematic, suddenly it's time to clear the searches.
I like to think that she has a team of people to finish up her pieces. I do remember one of the Camilla process that was posted here pages ago, her face actually looked good and different in the sketch phase but once it's been rendered, it's just the same usual tiny pouty lips that she always draws and I remember it occurred often in some of the processes that she posted. The faces that she used to draw before resorting to making them all washed out looked so much better. What a downgrade.
I'm gonna guess the MV views are just western stans mass streaming like usual, but being nominated for 1st place on M Countdown with their debut song I find is kinda unsual for a rookie group. Especially considering they've been around since January and are from a small company that had a semi-popular boy group from the early 2010s so it's not like there's already company stans hyping them up. Unless they amassed a huge following during predebut?
Are MCND really that popular?? Them saying the n-word aside, they've been around for 2-3 months and have 17mil views on their debut MV. On top of that, they they almost got a first win against Loona and scored higher than Pentagon. Idk something is really sus about their success.
That's a yikes from me, dawg. I find the full-body sprites really stiff looking and boring, all that patreon money and he really couldn't get a better artist? But then I heard something about him not willing to pay his volunteers or whatever, so that probably explains why it looks so low-quality overall.
People keep defending her by mentioning that it's pretty much what every celebrity impersonators do, but do impersonators also go all the way to adopt their idol's entire mannerisms onto their everyday life too? Even in that stream where she said she was no longer a fan of Ariana, her behaviour was really uncanny.
This makes me think that she doesn't ever have anyone give feedback on her art lol. if you look at the art of Soey Milk or Audrey Kawasaki, who both draw a similar women bedazzled with ornate flowers/details concept as Alyssa, you can see where their illustrations has had more work done to show that there's a visual contrast so the women in their pieces can actually stand out. In Alyssa's case, her art looks better when there's not many elements clashing in the way compared to whatever decor she keeps adding in her art.
Just my personal opinion: a problem I have with her art is that she doesn't seem to prioritize what the main focus of her pieces are so there's no balance at all. Obviously it's whichever model she's drawn, but she has the tendency to over render every element on the piece that you start to get lost on what's going on because there's very little variation in overall textures and values.
I don't care if Paige Niemann is 15 but the girl is practically a skinwalker and it's fucking creepy. Ariana has every right to feel uncomfortable about someone completely profiting off her looks and personality trying to fool people into thinking they're the real deal.
Joey is the definition of a degenerate male otaku. Sad at how low he's come to compared to 5 years ago. Aki who used to be hella boring content-wise is out there putting out more interesting videos than him, while he just keeps pumping out the same bottom of the barrel hentai/nsfw videos because that's the only way for him to stay relevant.
Her art is really muddy and dull looking because she uses white as a base even with her color pencils ones. I find it also overworked to the point that sometimes you can barely see the features on the girls, they look like a cheap playdoh sculptures.
