We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Seems like Poki is taking advantage of the whole lily situation and announcing she's getting a pop figure. The way she worded the tweet before you even click the video made it seem like she was moving to Mixer or Youtube since other streamers like Ninja have been making their announcements that they're moving away from twitch on their twitter. Also, the replies people were also thinking she was moving platforms.
I understand where you're coming from and I should've worded it in another way, I was simply exaggerating to get my point across because we all know people like Joey are really disgusting. What I was trying to say is people like Joey who go for animated child porn rather than going for the real thing is disgusting because of their attitude towards it, I never meant that it was less disgusting. A pedophile who watches child porn is a disgusting human being, but if a pedophile is trying to look for ways to watch said child porn but doesn't want to get in trouble with the authorities and have their reputation ruined they go for the "safer" route which is Hentai in this case. The act itself is disgusting because they are trying to find ways to get their thrill without getting into trouble. If my logic is weird than I don't know what else to tell you, I find both these things equally disgusting, but the act of trying to find "safer" ways of viewing child porn is more disgusting and vile to me.
So Pokimane doesn't like it when people discuss her dating life and other personal things, but when someone who she lives with, has a close friendship with is going through something horrible, her first instinct is to subtweet about the whole situation leading to people going on a witchhunt and not apologizing for the mess she created. This itself should be a major red flag to her streaming "buddies" that they're not safe from her twitter fingers and also to her fans who think she's this wholesome angel who doesn't like drama. Pokimane isn't a smart, ruthless businesswoman, she's a vindictive and two-faced human being who doesn't think twice of hurting someone close to her just to benefit herself.
Heres the thing I find quite repulsive about hentai and its community, there are so many instances where the age of the young girls and boys are explicitly told and yet when people point it out these hentai enthusiasts are always defending it as if it's not child pornography. Just because it's animated and the children are not real doesn't mean its not child pornography. I feel like it's ten times more disgusting when people would go for the animated version of child porn than go for the real thing, it's like they're trying to cover up the fact that they are disgusting pedophiles but also at the same time they're not pedophiles because they're not watching real children.
I noticed when I first heard about their late scandal, most of the blinks were making it seems 20 minutes wasn't a big deal and people, especially the journalists, were the ones exaggerating the whole situation. Like how small-minded do you have to be to not appreciate someone's time? If I'm late to an event or an appointment no matter how late I am, whether it was 5 minutes or even 20 minutes, I would apologize sincerely because your time is as important as anyone else's. These reporters have jobs and for YG to dismiss these people like it was no big deal is extremely disrespectful not only to them but for the other guests during the event.
Nikita knew what kind of backlash she would get from wearing that hairstyle and decided to beat the punch by writing that caption, but we all know that caption didn't mean shit. It was just a PR stunt to get ahead of the storm. If Nikita really cared about black women being discriminated against because of their natural hair, she would've done some campaigning to spread some awareness about the issue. Instead, she used the struggle that black women face as a shield against valid criticism.
Since this is her very first solo debut I'll remain open-minded and wait for her second debut. Because of the circumstances surrounded YG and anything remotely related to YG caused her debut to be a bit lackluster, I'll wait for the next debut to give some proper judgment on Somi's musicality. A lot of yalls critiques were spot on and as I mentioned before her debut was lacking something. If her second debut doesn't hold up and she's still the same old Somi, I really do fear for this girl's future in the Korean entertainment industry. Sidenote and a bit off topic: Does the black label have any other producers other than Teddy, it would get pretty tiring relying on one producer for your songs.
Joey seriously needs to get canceled at this point. I never agreed with cancel culture because it was always about the smallest things, but Joey is seriously needed of some good old internet karma. He's below trash at this point, is it even surprising he stole jokes when we all know Jobo the hobo has no creative bone in his body.
The song is kind of 50/50 for me. I feel like something is missing like some character or charisma. And why on earth are the likes/dislikes disabled, it seems pretty odd since I've never seen that happen on a kpop music video before.
I can understand why Sherliza reacted the way she did when her video got copyrighted. People have been misusing the copyright strike for a long time now, and lots of YouTubers are being affected by it. No matter how you feel about Sherliza and her videos, you have to admit copyright striking a video that is under fair use is pretty scummy. I think her reaction was justified since so many YouTubers are walking on eggshells whenever they upload a video. Whoever copyrighted her video had no grounds to strike it. It was a simple commentary about an internet figure from the past. I know how most of y'all feel about Sherliza, trust me I share similar opinions, but copystriking her video when she didn't really break any of youtube rules is a pretty low blow and her reaction is similar to other YouTubers who have faced the same dilemma.
If someone showed me that ad without context I would assume it was one of those pop-up porn ads on pirating websites. Like is homegirl selling herself or her products? Whose behind the marketing of her beauty brand, cause they're not really doing a good job.
I wasn't that surprised by how many people decided to switch sides by the time James uploaded his video. These days people are looking to cancel someone and once they find a new target they immediately start canceling. I honestly thought this would put an end to James career and we can find people who are actually kind-hearted and talented, but it seems like more and more people like problematic influencers rather than amazingly talented and non-problematic influencers.
Joey, we get it you like weird shit, it doesn't make you any less creepy than before. He seems to want people to validate his so-called weird fetishes when literally no one asked. How can you call yourself "The Anime Man," when you have nothing but hentai to talk about. His whole twitter is basically a porn advertisement, which makes him look less advertiser-friendly to brands who would want to collaborate with him. No brand would want to work with a man who actively promotes porn on his twitter, so nice job Joey.
