We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Although America's Next Top Model isn't the best representation of the modeling industry, it does demonstrate what you are trying to say. Idk how many people here have watched the show, but the "super pretty" girls aren't usually the successful ones. There is definitely a lot of factors that contribute to being a successful model. Even being a successful instagram model requires some of the things you listed.
I wonder if she posts like this because she wants Kenna to see it? It would probably feel awkward and uncomfortable to directly confront her about her use of facetune, I couldn't imagine trying to have that conversation with one of my sisters
I think kpop is going through a transition right now. Teen crush is clearly popular, but groups haven't really found their unique style within the sound yet (that's why every song is compared to itzy). A lot of people say they're tired of it, but I'm actually not. I like it better than what some kpop was in the past 2 years. People were complaining that some kpop was sounding too much like Western music and was losing its unique appeal. I think the teen crush style is a step in the right direction. I think we're going to start getting the unique kpop vibes again soon!
This is related kinda. People keep comapring other groups to ITZY, but the only songs I've heard that actually sound like they could be ITZY songs are So What by Loona and Bouncy by Rocket Punch. My opinion on this is that Rocket Punch's song is better. Not because Loona's song is bad, but because Bouncy is an appropriate follow up to Bim Bam Bum while So What deviates too far from Loona's original sound. I kinda thought they didn't debut with Hi High because it wasn't supposed to fit in the group concept? But then they changed the concept, so now it doesn't really make any sense to me. I am curious what other people think about this.
I don't care if she got/gets lip fillers, they're sooo common nowadays and I think that she could be happier with herself if its something she really wants. I won't have any problems unless we have really good evidence that she got them AND she denies it. I just want some honesty from her. I think her natural lips are really nice though.
Yeah the cute concept totally made them stand out! This song just kinda blends in with the other songs coming out. Its not bad, but its nothing special. Im genuinely sad because with their cute concept I felt they had the potential to be like the next Twice/ Girls Generation type of group.
I saw posts trying to save a rookie gg from a small company from disbanding. I checked them out. I don't think they were horrible but they weren't great either. The group is called My Darling, obviously you can form your own opinion about them. Its really unfortunate, but we can't save every small company's group from disbanding. Some groups aren't worth saving.
I think its so nasty how people are calling this rape. NONE of us know if they were sleeping together at that point and we don't need to know because that is nobody's business besides their own. I interpreted her regret for not telling him sooner to be a result of him being so accepting and loving her regardless, so it just seems silly to her now that she ever felt like she had to hide it from him. Clearly they worked through any obstacles that may have come up when she came out to him. I also think it sucks so hard that she got blackmailed about this. I don't think she ever NEEDED to tell us because, as far as I'm concerned, she's a woman! I wish she could have told us when she was ready, or that she didn't have to tell us at all (if she didn't want to). I think her story is so amazing and inspiring anyway.
Not to WK but that pose is soooo common across instagram, everyone does it, even nowadays, especially in mirror selfies. I always heard that the purpose is to make your legs look longer in proportion to the rest of your body. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've just never heard of that pose being made to make a person look short besides in this thread. Bree is 5'9" (height listed on her agency's site), Kenna is always going to look short next to her no matter what pose she does.
Just because she made a video like this a few years ago doesn't mean she wants to see a bunch of videos of girls doing sexy dances everyday? I dont really get the comparison. I'd say its fair enough to complain about if she has been selecting the option to see less of that type of content. I don't think its about hating women, she just doesn't want to see these videos on her explore page because they're not relevant to her interests (which I can relate to since instagram won't stop showing them to me either)
I dont think her proportions are the problem. That is definitely one of the worst outfits I've ever seen on a blackpink member (all of their outfits look weird af here too). I think the boots are what's making her look proportionally weird. I don't keep up with this thread so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned here, but I've seen some speculation around the internet that she's gained weight recently so I suppose that could also be a factor in addition to the weird outfit
