Anituber reccomendations Uniquenameosaurus: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZn_h4YsrFy1ZjHGK7Z5NKw His videos are funny and he argues his points very well, generally humble. He acknowledges his mistakes on his videos and while you may not agree with his points you can understand his reasonings at least. He doesn't only talk about anime, his videos are usually aimed about animated tv series as a whole, Steven universe, Avatar, and Undertale, etc. also feature as topics. He even talks about streaming services like Netflix and Crunchyroll. Kamimashita: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWSs25yYe8gZW8NnVvsBpsw Warm yet still serious analysis of anime, his videos offer a comfy kind of feel to it. He usually reviews slice of life anime but he reviews other anime once in a while too. Beyond Ghibli: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTIWuVJE1Ms0-H8gBImjeZg His videos are tv documentary quality. His small channel is quickly growing cause of the quality he puts out and his videos are really well planned. Mainly does anime movies but dips into tv series anime once in a while.
I feel like Aki grew up and got more mature a bit, while Jobo didn't. He just got worse. I guess people don't always change for the better, sometimes it's the opposite. Jobo is one of the unfortunate cases. Aki did get better though. I agree Jobo is a bad influence, tbh I don't see the chemistry between them.
The last book I read was The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. I enjoyed it a lot, it definitely was one of the best books of the year. The main character is the usual reckless and brave type but she's smart too and her morality is really on the line, she's believable and realistic enough. The plot is very heavy and gory. It discusses the rape of nanking with fantasy magic elements and it's really interesting. Think Harry Potter but darker and less moral. There's no love interest and that is very refreshing to see with a teenage girl for protagonist.
His shoulders are so broad, but his hips and waist are so tiny in proportion compared to that. If your shoulders are broad then you're hips/waist should match. Truly Dorito if I ever saw one. His wrists are too small too. And of course Sakimichan's trademark too small head is there.
In the second sentence I think he meant to say my name is kai. Romaji is 'Boku no namae ha kai desu.' But he used the wrong character for his name. The character he used, 買, which is the kanji for 'buy' in Japanese. (Also one of the first kanji you learn) If you're a foreigner you're supposed spell out your name in katakana NOT kanji or hiragana. (Another one of the first lessons you're supposed to learn. Writing your name is like the first and most obvious info.) He didn't type in what he meant to say in English and then google translate it to Japanese, INSTEAD he wrote the Japanese romaji, THEN he used google translate to find the hiragana/kanji. Thats why he made a mistake in writing his name. 買 is pronounced kai, which is his name pronounced and google translate does what it does, so now his intro says my name is buy. Also his third sentence is wrong, Japanese grammar does not work like that...
Yeah, we're all hoping for Aki to get her act together but so far that's not happening. it's been 2 years now since their relationship began and Joey's only gotten worse, Aki's content is at least stable and consistent, I hope that Aki won't get dragged down anymore with Joey.
the face is really kpop but the body is just bara or muscled bodybuilder. It’s so jarring because the faces look slim yet you look down and the body doesn match at all. Kpop guys are slim and toned not that muscled thiccness that sakimichans guys have on there. Really that face and body in her art doesn’t match up at all.
Makoto Shinkais’ works are good but they aren’t great. Aesthetically pleasing, yes. Great plot and well written characteers, not really. Your Name was one of his best but it wasn’t the best of movies. Silent Voice far outmatched it in characters and emotion. The night is short, walk on girl was also a great movie in the same year that was overlooked in favor of ever prominent Your Name. (Tbh Masaki Yuasa is an overlooked director in general.)
About your defense of him trying to change being seen in his music video. Did he actually explicitly say it was him fighting the 'old him' or 'past self' ? Because it sounds like a personal interpretation of the mv and is not an actual statement for x himself. And him being ashamed of his past, maybe he didn't want to bring up bad pr ? You don't know him. You weren't his close friend or close person to him. What do you know ? In that last paragraph above you say you 'think', that's not real facts , it's what you think not what it actually is.
