Found this account today and looking through their photos I got big confused. These two pictures don't even look like the same person. There were so many different shades of skin scrolling through her page
Yep... If the stylist used a toner similar to the redken shades eq gloss then it's made to make your hair feel soft plus anytime you flat iron or get a blowout it'll definitely feel smooth. I feel like her hair has lost volume but maybe that's just me
Youre right she really doesn't look bad she's still naturally cute (i mean I'd still have to see her without circle lenses like this) but the difference wouldn't be nearly as stark if she didn't abuse snow so much... her features like her chin and nose just look so much more pronounced... picture added for comparison
And see this has been my main issue with her. She has a large platform of people who look up to her and aspire to be like her. She has so much opportunity to use that platform to advocate body issues and mental health issues but she never does. This has been such a wasted opportunity to explain what it's like getting diagnosed and seeking therapy and living with the symptoms and stigmas. Even how the backlash and doubt has affected her. All she has said is how she feels like she can be herself now and is putting together pieces and thats great that's what we've been waiting to see! But in actuality all there's been is a few stutters on camera. The failed potential just continues to be disappointing.
I think what that person meant was that because of how glorified western, and just frankly white, features are that many women of other ethnicities can feel pressured and insecure if they don't look like that because they've been made to feel inferior in many senses including looks. So in a way they could be changing a feature thats more unique to their racial background to "fit in" bc they're so used to seeing the models and such plastered everywhere without them. Thats why representation in the media is so important so that young women can see people who look like them and dont feel like they're different or have to change to look like someone else.
