We've heard you loud and clear - negative reputation is back. Remember that it's still against the rules to complain about being downvoted - if you think someone's mass-downvoting posts or otherwise abusing the reputation system, DM a mod and we will take care of it.
Not sure whether it's still relevant regarding numbers, but I use to be obsessed with the Try Guys, Ladylike, Unsolved and Worth It a few years back but after Safiya left and then the Try Guys I lost interest. None of the content is interesting, except Unsolved. Like no offence, but I don't want to watch a 14 minute video of the Ladylike girls trying to use an easy bake oven.
As annoying as Halsey is and I can't wait to the day Army shut the fuck up about her, I can't help but think how good a business move this was for her. Collaborating with the biggest boyband in the world, milking the shit out of the friendship and then dropping her own new music straight away? Bravo. Now if she'd kindly remove herself from BTS so I can carry on stanning without seeing her fake ass face plastered all over my social media
His gimbap dick jokes weren't even funny either. Did anyone else catch the bit about his friend being in the idol group of some guy on an ad? I haven't got a clue who the guy was and the constant talk of his ex was super annoying
Halsey is mixed, and predominately Caucasian but it seems like she strongly identifies with her black side. It's likely black/biracial culture is ingrained in her and she sees herself as mixed, which is totally fine. Just speaking from experience, I'm 75% Caucasian but I see myself as full because I have never identified with the rest of my ethnicity. It's more than just about DNA, it's also about upbringing. I just hope she realises she's having it a lot easier than other mixed people due to her white passing.
I have to disagree, as a kpop stan I definitely listen to pop/indie/american music whatever you want to call it, and so do many others and the reaction i've seen on twitter from BTS fans is that they're supporting her hugely. Whether they'll support her new music is a little different and I think only time will tell, but they're all very much obsessed with her at the moment. I can't seem to get her off my timeline and it's VERY annoying p.s. sorry if i've quote wrong, it's my first time
I'm personally not a fan of the t-shirts, even as a K-pop fan I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a BTS item in public, although at home in pajamas is a different story. However, that's more a reflection of myself than other people wearing it. I do find it a bit cringe for Sharla? Probably more the fact she's wearing Jungkook's face on her chest while in Korea, which just screams Koreaboo even when she's not.
I wasn't too bothered by the mukbang, I just wish she'd have shown more of the festival, but that's probably asking too much of Sharla. I'm visiting SK at the end of summer and I'm vegetarian so seeing some food options with the company name would have been fantastic for me, but again, I'd be expecting way too much from her.
What Sharla doesn't seem to understand is that she needs to work on more than just videos. Yes she can make some money from Adsense but lots of Youtubers gain their income from sponsorship, partnerships and PR. She really needs to start reaching out to companies and building contacts with businesses instead of filming her cats all the time. All those Youtubers who have book, tv, film and makeup deals are off a lot better than her because they're pursuing other things. Coming from a poor background and seeing her whine when everyone knows she has more than enough to survive has really rubbed me up the wrong way. Rant over.
I'm not coming to Sharlas defence here, just thought I'd give my input as to why she might dress the way she does. 1. I actually think the pinafore dress, stripey t-shirt combo is quite nice and somewhat stylish, its right up my street and I'm in my early twenties so I wouldn't call her style outdated or anything 2. Also the way she dresses in her "summer" look is also almost exactly the way I dress in the summer, but it's 100% to do with confidence and body issues. I despised my legs and arms, so no matter how hot it is, they will be covered. Maybe this is exactly what Sharla is going through or maybe she doesn't get that hot? We won't know but I can totally relate to wearing those outfits in summer
