This guy is so fucking stupid. He attracted a super bigoted right-wing audience and now believes everything they say. He is not American nor has he lived in America, he can barely speak coherent English, he has no place parroting this red-pill BS.
Nothing is wrong with loving kpop music/fashion/etc! The only thing I find weird is fixating on the idols, who are usually in their late teens, calling them hot and lusting after them. Actually just enjoying the music obviously has no age limit and shouldn’t be shamed.
I genuinely do find this kind of weird. I am in my mid twenties and love anime and manga, (often considered to be for teenagers or kids)but these contain stories and art for adults as well. Being super into boy bands where the members are teenage/early twenties is just...... weird. Most Kpop fans seem to lowkey (or highkey lol) lust after the band members, which is fine because they’re usually teenagers and exploring their sexuality/they’re the same age as the members. Idk, something just kind of runs me the wrong way about Mimei and this older lady tbh. I’m only 26 but I already find most kpop band members too young to be attracted to them.
Anyone watch her new video “Dos and don’ts in Japan”? I like the creativity of her filming it in a bunch of different locations, and as usual her camera quality is beautiful. But does anyone think a lot of her videos are about topics that are sooo overdone?? Maybe because I live in japan so these things are commonplace to me, but I swear EVERY japan-based youtuber has made the exact same video and listed off nearly identical points. I hope she focuses on more unique content instead of the same rehashed “5 things visitors should know about Japan!” type videos. Her situation as a fashion student is pretty interesting imo, i would love to watch videos about that.
This girl is so obsessed with the fact that she’s met celebrities. Maybe because I’m not a fan of any celebrities so I just don’t *get* it, but what about knowing them is so amazing? Girl you just sound like a groupie lmao. Notice the “I matched with him on tinder” sounding like a low-key brag? Like “ooh this idol thought I was attractive, u jealous?” It’s kind of pathetic. Also I STRONGLY doubt most of her stories, including this most recent one. 99% sure she makes them up or embellishes heavily.
How could a nose job ever be “erasing ethnic identity” lol? She had a big nose and was insecure about it so she changed it. Nothing to be ashamed of imo, especially since she’s open and honest about it.
The American academy of nutrition and dietetics, the largest nutrition organization in the world, has categorically stated that a (well planned) vegan diet is safe and healthy for all stages of life. That’s scientific consensus, supported by most other organizations and dietitians. One crazy guys opinion on vegan diets (he also believes the earth is flat, and he spent time in a mental institution) isn’t going to change that.
Those shirts have to be a joke right ? The text doesn’t contrast the background color enough, to the point it’s almost hard to read. The colors themselves look jarring and unpleasant. This is like “high school intro to graphic design” levels of amateur.
The proportions of her face are so messed up from surgery. Her jaw is way too small which makes the rest of her face look really big in comparison. I wish people would stop getting jaw surgery, it seriously ruins their facial balance.
She even made a really defensive and bitter comment in her engagement video about how no one has any right to judge them for getting engaged so quick. Because he’s totallyyyy the ONE, they are perfect for each other and how dare anyone even question it! Insulting to her viewers much? Maybe don’t put all this personal stuff online and then get angry when people (rightly) criticize or try to look out for you.
