Quietly selling off Venus’ leftover stuff is fine. Advertising it on her YouTube and Instagram AND using Venus’s pictures in the listing is just A) looking to start a fight with Venus, and B) pandering to lolicons like she did when she was “managing” Venus. I’d say she just needs to move on, but I know there are a lot of people out there that just thrive on drama and she’s clearly one of them.
What April Fool’s joke did she make? I missed that and I assume it’s been deleted during one of her many purges.
ive kinda lost hope for Venus. For a time there after the surgery debacle it seemed like she was actively trying to turn her life around, but now it seems like she just doesn’t care. She just want to use alcohol as an escape and try to recreate her early videos to avoid facing the reality that she needs to learn to be a functional adult. I feel like she needs an intervention, therapy, and a life coach at this point if she’s gonna make it.
and I know this is gonna be a really unpopular opinion, but I kinda understand her using Margo’s tactics and I’m not sure she’s even consciously aware of the damage she’s doing. That doesn’t excuse her behavior in the least, she should still be self aware enough to realize what’s happening, but I think she’s stuck in the cycle of abuse. For the majority of her life she was completely isolated and learned everything from Margo—that was her role model on how to be an adult. She wasn’t with Manaki for very long, and when she was she was pretty deep into the age regression coping, so she didn’t learn how to adult from him. I think she’s just a classic case of “the victim becomes the abuser” because she thinks the way Margo interacted with other adults is normal.
idk what she actually has, but that could explain some of her more unstable episodes. Honestly, I don’t think she wants to do YouTube anymore. I think she hasn’t wanted to do YouTube for a long time, but she doesn’t have any other options. That’s why she’s almost exclusively doing live streams now instead of proper videos. I can’t imagine live streams would pay enough to live on though, no matter how many creepy donations David makes.
She put it on private, she didn’t delete it completely. That’s why it still had the same upload date.
I don’t know what to make lf all this. I’m a fan of Venus, I’m not gonna lie, and I can’t tell if this is a cry for help or a step towards real independence. Either way, I had no idea that’s how she and Manaki met. That’s really creepy.
I thought Maggot was against the marriage though? Now she’s saying her mom encouraged it/set it up?
Ooh, that's an interesting theory though. Mana and Venus got divorced, but Mana's parents adopted her so she could stay in Japan. That actually makes a lot of sense. Mana's parents always loved Venus and it explains the disappearance of Manaki and wraps up Venus's immigration status in a nice neat bow. I loathe to believe anything Margo ever says, but that theory is pretty plausible.
Woah, hold your white knighted horses, I’m not saying I know her life. None of us here know her life except her. I’m just saying from what we’ve seen she seems to be fairly isolated and uses Instagram as a way to connect with people, including her irl friends. Which made me question if quitting Instagram would hurt her more than help.
Ok now I’m seriously worried for her wellbeing. Idk if taking a break from the internet would help though. She’s so isolated, Instagram is kinda her only specs of socialization and human contact. Stupid question, but does BPD stand for Bipolar Disorder or Boarderline Personality Disorder?
I’m a bisexual girl and while I mostly say “queer” instead of “gay”, generally when a bi girl talks about how they’re gay they’re referring to how much they like girls. But as garbledmess said, the language has evolved and “gay” is an an umbrella term for “not straight” now. If you want to be legalistic and call me and my fellow bi folks “homophobic” for calling ourselves gay, I would say its equally homophobic for a lesbian to call herself “gay” since “gay” traditionally refers to a homosexual man, not a homosexual woman. You wouldn’t say it’s transphobic for a non-binary person to call themselves “trans” since they don’t ascribe to a binary transgender path, right? Umbrella terms are a thing now, that just how the English language has evolved All that to say, let Venus call herself whatever she wants. It’s her sexuality, no one else gets to police it and tell her what labels she’s allowed to use, just like I don’t get to tell you what labels you can use. It’s a personal thing. Maybe she’s lesbian, maybe she’s bi, maybe she’s pan, at the end of the day it’s her decision what label (if any) to use. At this point, good on her for being open with herself.
I'm surprised she would want to be Venus Palermo. Her mother is so toxic, I thought she would want to avoid any association with her. I can understand her now wanting to be Venus Angelic anymore, but if it were me "Palermo" would be just as triggering as "Angelic."
Splenda's a jackass. Grow up and accept that your wife is a grown woman who wants her own life and her own career. Don't belittle her, guilt her, and gaslight her for wanting to be an independent adult. Yumi, you go get your job!
The Tamama No Mae looks like it was done by Designer Daddy. It’s got the same questionable use of patterned fabric and somewhat tacky, over the top style of his adult cosplays. He got so many people telling him not to commission for Mariah when he posted the Beatrice dress, it would make sense that he wants to “be anonymous” now. Btw I’m not hating on him, I think his kid costumes are great. I’m just not a fan of his adult style.
I'm so happy she's finally getting help!!!! I've been hoping she would get help for years. I just hope she goes to a good program that works on the mental aspect as much as the physical weight restoration.
